Introduction. It has been repeatedly proven that the use of radiant heating systems leads to an increase in the environmental safety of industrial premises by increasing their energy efficiency. The most promising solution is the use of gas infrared emitters, in which there is no intermediate coolant, and the heat of combustion of the gas enters the room. However, such a solution has a number of limitations on gas availability, comfort and fire hazard. Also, a highly efficient solution is the use of water infrared emitters, which can be represented by emitting panels or emitting profiles that use an intermediate coolant, but do not have many limitations inherent in gas systems. Materials and methods. This study was conducted in the Laboratory of radiant Heating of NNGASU and is devoted to the study of the peculiarities of the formation of the temperature regime in rooms heated by water infrared radiators, as well as the thermal regime of external enclosing structures in these rooms. Results. Based on the results of the experiments, the authors concluded about the formed thermal regime in rooms with heating systems based on water infrared emitters. It is proved that the use of radiant heating leads to a more uniform temperature regime in a heated room, and less overheating of the room covering than when using convective heating systems. Conclusions. The energy efficiency of the use of radiant heating systems based on water infrared emitters has been proven. The study showed that the system of water radiant heating allows to reduce the gradient of air temperature in height not only in large-volume rooms, such as workshops, depots, gyms, but also in rooms with a low height of the coating location. This feature allows you to reduce heat losses through the coating. The temperature regime in the working area of the room with the use of radiant water heating, in comparison with convective, remains unchanged.

AbstractIn recent years heating in Poland has been transformed as a result of the priorities of the country's energy policy implemented within the European Union. The increase in energy security, the development of renewable energy sources and the fulfilment of legal and environmental requirements are very important. Exploitation of district heating systems should ensure reliable and safe heat supplies for industrial and municipal customers with high energy efficiency and reduction of environmental impact. The article discusses the conditions and directions of centralized heating systems development as well as technical and economic issues, which are important for the security of heat supply. The Author describes selected technological innovations used in the technical infrastructure for heat transfer and modern IT systems which are improving the management of heating systems. The article includes the results of simulation research with use of IT tools showing the impact of selected innovations on the improvement of network operation conditions. Directions of modernization of heating systems in the aspect of increasing energy efficiency and security of heat supply have also been indicted here.

Commercially available greenhouses are commonly used for provision of year-round growing of agricultural crops at protected ground. In order to provide favorable conditions for plants growth these agricultural constructions should be equipped by artificial heating systems in cold sea-sons. This work presents an overview of basic traditional and alternative heating systems which find their applications in agriculture. Advantages of application of roof radiant heating with infrared radiation sources for green-houses are discussed. It was discovered that now there is no appropriate mathematical model of greenhouse radiant heating, which takes into account both heat and mass exchange processes. Here we propose a mathematical model of radiant heating, which includes equation system of both heat and mass exchange processes for greenhouse, its enclosure and soil. The numer-ical calculations were performed for commercially available greenhouse “Farmer 7.5”. We investigated the impact of external air temperature and heat exchange rate on the following greenhouse radiant heating characteris-tics: internal air temperature, heating system thermal power and water dis-charge for soil watering.

Ground-Source Heat Pump (PSHP) was verified by US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) as one of the most efficient air conditioning systems on present market. It has a higher efficiency than other heating systems from 50% to 70%, and a higher efficiency than other cooling systems from 30% to 50%. The working principle of PSHP determines its low operating costs. By comparing the total energy efficiency, the existing groundwater heat pump total energy efficiency is the highest, about 115%. The total energy efficiency for soil-source heat pump is up to 100%. But traditional air conditioning is far less than the level. Articles present a research on Ground-Source Heat Pump system and its cost with a scientific and objective principles. Ground-source heat pump is a new central air conditioning system of Low-carbon energy saving. Due to the high technical content, function requirement, and installation difficulty , the average initial investment of ground-source heat pump is much higher than traditional central air conditioning. Taking into account the added costs of heating systems based on traditional central air-conditioning, such as boilers, it will not deviate too much from it.
