PurposeIn this article, we identify various foodservice-related attributes that are important for undergraduate students residing in hostels and avail service from specific foodservice providers. We also investigate the performance of attributes to determine areas where the foodservice providers should maintain a high performance or where improvement is required.Design/methodology/approachWe apply the Kano methodology to design the questionnaire for 24 different attributes. For each attribute, we construct three questions; namely, functional type, dysfunctional type, and performance of the hostel foodservice. We collect a total of 317 responses. We use multiple methods to determine the dominant category. Finally, combining the values of these methods, we study relative positions of the attributes in the importance–performance grid.FindingsBased on the Kano categorization, quality-related attributes are most important, followed by hygiene, comfort, availability, variety, and time, in the descending order. The gender of the respondent plays an important role in categorization of some attributes. Using the importance–performance analysis, we identify the attributes where the foodservice provider should maintain a high performance or where improvement is required. Improvements in some attributes are difficult due to foodservice provider's self-assessment of high performance or high difficulty for improvement.Originality/valueIn this study, we examine the importance of various foodservice attributes among undergraduate residential students. We combine multiple methods of Kano categorization to compute importance values of the attributes. We also investigate the reasons behind the gap between student's and foodservice manager's perception of the performance of these attributes.

Engineering high-performance parallel programs is hard: not only must a correct, efficient and inherently-parallel algorithm be developed, but the computations must be effectively and efficiently coordinated across multiple processors. It has long been recognised that ideas and approaches drawn from functional programming may be particularly applicable to parallel and distributed computing (e.g. Wegner 1971). There are several reasons for this suitability. Concurrent stateless computations are much easier to coordinate, high-level coordination abstractions reduce programming effort, and declarative notations are amenable to reasoning, i.e. to optimising transformations, derivation and performance analysis.

Engine  mounts  have  an important  function  of  containing  firmly the  power-train  components  of  a  vehicle. Correct  geometry  and  positioning  of  the  mount  brackets  on  the  chassis ensure a good ride quality  and performance. As an FSAE car intends to be a high performance vehicle, the brackets on the frame that support the engine undergo high static and dynamic stresses as well as huge amount of vibrations. Hence, dissipating the vibrational energy and keeping the stresses under a pre-determined level of safety have been achieved by careful designing and analysis of the mount brackets.

Statement of the problem. The study of the process of development of the concert style of oboe performance is a relevant area of modern musicology, as evidenced, in particular, by the scientific activity of the International Double Reed Society (IDRS) and works of other researchers on the history of the instrument and its repertoire starting with the second half of the 20 century (Bate, 1975; Bartalozzi, 1967; Reeves & Hooper, 1985; Goossens & Roxburgh, 2001). The concept of “concert oboe” is actualized by V. Martynova (2018, 2019) on the basis of the performance art of the 19th – 20th centuries. As for works for oboe of the early 20th century, in particular by E. Goossens, there are a few studies devoted to the development of modern style of the concert oboe (Del Mar, 1984; Lopez-Pelaez-Casellas & Garcia-Herrera, 2019) and to E. Goossens’s Concerto (Woodworth, 2016). This determines the scientific novelty of this research, which involves genre-style and performance analysis of the Concerto. The purpose of this study is to identify typical genre-stylistic and performance characteristics of E. Goossens’s composition in the context of the development of the concert style of oboe performance. The research methodology is based, first, on the genre and style approach, which is traditional for musicology, in particular, on research on the code of reflexivity (Shapovalova, 2006), and pastoral genre in music (Shapovalova, Chernyavska, Govorukhina & Nikolaievska, 2021). Another methodological dimension is related to the positions of analytical interpretology and principles of performance analysis (Nikolaievska, 2020), which focus on such elements as form-creation, performance dramaturgy, performance poetics. Results and conclusions. The typical genre and stylistic features of E. Goossens’composition refer to the traditions of the romantic concerto (onemovement structure; the presence of a symphonic model of the genre; the use of initial intonation as the main sound symbol of the work; the absence of a single tonal centre; reflexivity; the involvement of pastoral colour as an established image of the instrument). From the viewpoint of performance poetics we have marked the overcoming of the formality of rondeau nature by the continuity of performance form-creation; the presence of such difficulties requiring high performance skills of an oboist as playing of whole-tone scale, high notes and extreme sounds of the registers, polyrhythmic structures, the abundance of virtuoso passages in the composition, the variety of articulation techniques, fast-frequency vibrato, etc., which is crucial in the process of development of the concert style of oboe performance in the early 20th century.

MPI is one of the important standards in high performance computing. MPI performance is generally focused on collective communications. And FCA (Fabric Collective Accelerator) is a new method accelerating collective communications. Through high performance computing environment testing, this paper mainly analyses the result of FCA with shared memory and without share memory accelerating IBM Platform MPI, FCA's principle and integration between IBM Platform MPI and FCA. At the same time, this paper may be a good reference for high performance computing using FCA.
