The use of wind based energy is quickly expanding over the planet. The goal of this study is to use computational methods of fluid dynamics to develop a novel model of VAWT including Windbooster for various rotor blades like two, three, and four blades in order to enhance effectiveness. CAD modelling approaches of vertical axis wind turbines including and excluding booster are created. Including all vertical axis wind turbine blade designs including and excluding booster, torque, power, and Coefficient of performance are compared.The performance of three blades on the basis of mechanical properties includingi wind amplifier is 29.9% greater than two blades using wind amplifier, and four blades using wind amplifier is 21.5 percent greater than three blades using wind amplifier, according to the findings. Because the mechanical energy created by a four-blade wind booster wasn't as great as it is including three blades, VAWT employing three-blade wind booster seems to be more effective than VAWT with a two- or four-blade wind booster. For improved mechanical durability, VAWT with three-blade wind amplifier is recommended.

The method of fault diagnosis based on dissolved gas analysis (DGA) is of great importance to detect possible failures in the transformer and to improve the safety of the electrical system. The DGA data of the transformer in the smart grid has the characteristics of a large amount, different types and a low density of values. Since the power transformer is an important type of power supply in the electrical network, this document provides a complete overview of the power transformer and describes how to diagnose faults. Furthermore, on-line monitoring, the method of fault diagnosis and condition-based maintenance strategy decision-making method as also have been described. The paper presents detailed literature on the recent advancements and methods being adopted by various authors on fault detection.

Power quality became one of the most critical challenges in today’s modern power system. Utmost primary factors of power quality issues are non-linear fluctuating loads, system interruption, load variances, infrequent loads, and arc furnaces. As a matter of fact, there is occurrence of various electrical distortions, along with voltage spikes, voltage sags, and so forth. Several innovative techniques were employed for the development of circuits which resulted in minimised voltage stability as well as reliability.  Utility companies which are electrical are receiving a large quantity of complaints because of these challenges.  An approach is required now to explore the power quality challenges in industrial sector, corporate sector, municipal, or domestic sites. Therefore, a few techniques known as Flexible AC transmission system (FACTs) are used to enhance power quality. It is divided into two categories: namely series-FACTs and shunt-FACTS. As name itself define its architecture that in series-FACTS comprised of transmission line which is connected in series with module and connected in parallel in shun-FACTs.   We can alleviate the problems related to power quality with the help of these FACTS devices. D-STATCOM is one of the better devices available. D-STATCOM is a shunt-connected solid-state device employed at the distribution network to maintain load-side disturbances. It has exceeded the traditional capacitor being used improve power quality with it's lower upfront investment, outstanding dynamics, absence of static, and lower operational expenses. The sorts, architectural style, operating, control systems, and AI are all described in this article.

The thermal performance of a heat exchanger depends upon various parameters like inlet temperature of hot fluid, type of hot fluid, type of cold fluid, the shape of baffles, the material of baffles, baffles angle, and property of ribs. Basically fluid flow and heat transfer characteristics largely depend upon the Reynolds number (Re). Reynolds number is basically the ratio of inertia force to viscous force. Re is only the factor by which we can decide whether the fluid is laminar or turbulent in shell and tube type of heat exchanger. The heat exchanger is an adiabatic device in which heat is transferred from one fluid to another fluid across a plate surface. In this paper, we have introduced some special types of triangular baffles with rectangular channels. The purpose of this apparatus is to enhance the performance of the heat exchanger. Heat exchangers, nowadays, are one of the most important heat & mass transfer apparatuses in industries like oil refining; heat treatment plants, electric power generation, etc. are long service life.

It has been a requisite for humanity to live since the electricity invented around an early 1900s. According to the electrical energy sector's economic constraints, power must be employed as quickly as practical after it is generated. Because storing large amounts of electrical energy is prohibitively expensive. However, as energy storage material becomes more accessible, dispersed production becomes more viable, especially with the Smart Grid concept.In this paper, we use the MATLAB - SIMULINK platform to investigate a battery energy storage system (BESS). We used an effective algorithm, which is really a part of artificial intelligence (AI), to develop a controller for a converter system.The research focused on the low tension line (regional loads) and the high tension line (HV) after the grid connection, where the framework also compels the electrical desire and reactive loads.

Renewable techniques have become more appealing for producing energy in village and moderately village regions because they reduce degradation of environment and provide a plentiful supply of free and environmental energy. Several research works have been carried out all over the planet to assess and investigate the feasibility of hybrid renewable resources (combination of two or more) with the electricity generation for usage in diverse implementation and livelihoods. With regard to electrical energy sector, budgetary factors, power must be utilized as soon as possible once it is generated. Since storing large amounts of electrical energy is prohibitively expensive. Consequently, as energy storage substance have become mostly accessible, evenly distributed production is becoming more workable, especially with the Smart Grid concept. Distributed ESS (Energy Storage Systems) are gaining popularity. There is a diverse category of ESS namely, battery, thermal, mechanical, hydrogen and so on. But this paper investigates about the techniques used in Battery energy systems by several researchers to stabilize energy output and usage, these systems supplement variable renewable sources such as wind, tidal, and solar power.

Hybrid energy generation which includes both wind and solar energy has grown exponentially in latest years, and this will continue. Power quality problems such as voltage-swells, voltage-sags, harmonic components, power factor, and inadequate voltage control are caused by intermittent various exposures and the incorporation of wind-turbine and Photo-voltaic power generating systems with the grid. A Static Compensator (STATCOM) is employed to enhance power-quality. The power quality enhancement method for grid-connected wind-turbine and photo voltaic power plants employing STATCOM is introduced in this paper.  The framework of the proposed methodology describes in order to improve the transient voltage stability of the large-scale wind / solar hybrid system, the STATCOM reactive power compensation device is connected to the grid.   The compensator is offered to further improve output parameters such as voltage THD, current THD and active power.

Bearing is a movable object, so frictional forces must be overcome in terms of moving the Bearing. Because rolling bearings utilize balls or rollers, they are referred to as "rolling components." one can measure bearing expected lifespan depending on the material exhaustion if one can understand the operations and maintenance of loads and speeds. These computations should be based on the assumption that now the bearing is appropriately installed, lubricated, and moreover treated. It is unable to account for the impact of detrimental operating environment. Damaged bearing has a significant economic and industrial implications. Numerous substance are used in the bearing sector to several bearing elements. To achieve maximum bearing performance and durability, the products are deposited to obtain intended characteristics. The components listed in this are the most frequently used. The different materials used in ball bearings are discussed in this paper.

In a power transmitting network, a Unified Power Quality Conditioner is used to operate both shunt— connected and series-connected compensation simultaneously. Destabilize, disturbance, and sometimes even dc elements can all be found in a power distribution network. As a result, a UPQC (Unified Power Quality Conditioner) outperforms a Unified Power Flow Conditioner (UPFC) in many of these areas to offer shunt-connected or series-connected compensation. The main objective of this paper is to provide the overview, different designs given by many researchers to improve the performance of the UPQC.
