The accident involving an American Airlines Boeing 757 that crashed on approach to Cali. Colombia, in December 1995, was examined to better understand the errors that the pilots committed. Their loss of situation awareness about their proximity to terrain resulted from several factors involving their use of the flight management system under high workload conditions. The implications of FMS use on our understanding of situation awareness and decision making are explored.

A method for implementing privileged management in security management based on role base access control model (RBAC2) is proposed. The idea is creating the users security information space and the security information space for the data base management system separately. The rule and method are given for implementing the mapping from the former onto the latter. The structure of the system for implementing the security management system in the client/server environment is also presented. The adoptability, easy usability and maintainability are primary characters of the method.

Under the modern high-tech condition, the demand of air combat has been stricter on the combat performance and the integration of fighter, which impels the application of integrated vehicle management technology and makes it become the core technology of the advanced fighter about the mission management and vehicle management. From an overview of tactical flight management system's technical background and the state of development, this paper systematically introduces the issues, including the development process & history, architecture framework of the integrated vehicle management system (IVMS) which divided into perception layers, decision layer and execution layer, and function system architecture and software system architecture. Through a comprehensive analysis for the functions of each level, comprehensively expounds the basic function and key technology of IVMS which included situation awareness and assessment, mission path planning, integrated navigation, automatic attack guidance, health management and prognostic and intelligent pilot-vehicle interface, and the future development directions are also discussed.

Network Security Situation Awareness (NSSA) helps security analysts to be aware of the actual security situation of their networks. But its adaptive control model and method remain a new research field that needs to be explored. In this paper, we presented a novel NSSA adaptive control model based on cognitive network. The model adopted circle cognitive structure composed of Monitor, Awareness, Decision and Execution (MADE). In the MADE cognitive circle, we described a fusion awareness method based on PSO-DS theory. The decision and execution strategies were also discussed briefly. The experiments prove that our model realizes the adaptive regulation of NSSA effectively and it also can be applied into other fields in order to develop automatic tools and devices.
