Human beings understand and interpret what is happening around them in their mother tongue. It is a fact that in recent years, language teaching has been given importance as a communication tool. Each language carries out the processes of understanding and explaining, consisting of its own specific structures and rules. In terms of the basic language skills involved in these two processes, the behaviours and methods of language learners and teachers who will ensure that they can use their mother tongue correctly are very important. The historical development of multilingualism in Kazakhstan consists of several stages. Multilingualism has brought with it problems in Kazakh teaching in Kazakhstan. For this purpose, it is important to determine the opinions of classroom teachers about teaching the Kazakh language in terms of word structure, the suitability of the contents of the textbooks, and the qualifications of teachers in language teaching. For this purpose, interviews were conducted with 19 classroom teachers working in Kazakhstan. In this study, the findings obtained using the qualitative research method were analysed in detail. It has been concluded that there are points where the contents of the textbooks are not suitable for the classroom teachers, the methods and techniques they use in language teaching are insufficient and these inadequacies cause problems. Keywords: Kazakh, language teaching, method and technique, language, speaking

The article is devoted to the field modeling of the verbal representation of the stereotypical image of a businesswoman - a new phenomenon in the Russian mentality. A comprehensive description is carried out in the sociolinguistic, linguo-cognitive, discursive and gender aspects based on the integrative cognitive-functional analysis of the linguo-culturally marked components of the stereotype image by the methods of a semantic-cognitive, discursive, contextual, conceptual analysis, the method of field modeling and interpretation of the data obtained. The described fragment of the worldview is a pioneering field of comprehension of new phenomena of reality in the framework of the analysis of business discourse and national conceptual spheres. The empirical material of the study was the results of a survey of professional feminine and masculine groups. The nucleus of the heterostereotype of a businesswoman was revealed, based on the ideas enshrined in the minds of the male entrepreneurs - feminine strategies of business communication and an integral set of roles and status positions of the performer and assistant, in which the leading place is given to men, and the secondary - to women. In addition, the analyzed linguistic material demonstrated the transformation of traditional female roles of a wife and a mother towards male roles of a breadwinner and a leader. So, the autoimage of a businesswoman is a complex cognitive structure that includes a set of social roles and functions, numerous gender prescriptions and stereotypes. The nucleus of auto-representations of a businesswoman has also made up a cognitive attribute of female business communication strategies. The feminine role-playing set, according to the women entrepreneurs, includes the traditional roles of a housewife, a mother, a wife, a weak woman, a parity spouse and a hybrid feminine-masculine image. According to the study, the actualization of new feminine roles does not eliminate the socio-cultural background of a womans development in society, but tends to preserve traditional female behavior patterns in combination with components determined by civilizational processes.

The research endeavors to study and determine the influence of cognitive maps on production of political manifestos discourse. The research has been conducted in the framework of Sociocognitive Discourse Studies. The results show that discourse cognitive structure of British Conservative Party and Australian Liberal Party manifestos is characterized by different sets of cognitive maps on the level of communicative strategies and somewhat similar sets of cognitive schemas on the level of communicative tactics. Applying the method of interpropositional semantic analysis, the communicative strategy and communicative tactic of comparison was identified in Australian Liberal Party manifesto. Despite the close affinity between political discourses of the UK and Australia, there are significant differences in patterns of information organization in online manifestos of the ruling parties to engage the community and enhance persuasion.

This study aimed to examine the specific means and internal processes through which mathematical understanding is achieved by focusing on the process of understanding three new mathematical concepts. For this purpose interviews were conducted with 54 junior high school students. The results revealed that mathematical understanding can be achieved when new concepts are connected to at least two existing concepts within a student’s cognitive structure of. One of these two concepts should be the superordinate concept of the new concept or, more accurately, the superordinate concept that is closest to the new concept. The other concept should be convertible, so that a specific example can be derived by changing or transforming its examples. Moreover, the process of understanding a new concept was found to involve two processes, namely, “going” and “coming.” “Going” refers to the process by which a connection is established between a new concept and its closest superordinate concept. In contrast, “coming” is a process by which a connection is established between an existing convertible concept and a new concept. Therefore the connection leading to understanding should include two types of connections: belonging and transforming. These new findings enrich the literature on mathematical understanding and encourage further exploration. The findings suggest that, in order to help students fully understand new mathematical concepts, teachers should first explain the definition of a given concept to students and subsequently teach them how to create a specific example based on examples of an existing concept.

The purpose of this article is a dynamic analysis of the transformations taking place in the speech culture of bilingual students of the post-Soviet space. Russian-foreign bilingualism, as our survey shows, has undergone a certain reconfiguration over the past decade. Previous experiments convincingly proved that the Russian language is dominant in the speech culture of bilingual students, which was due to a number of estralinguistic and linguistic-functional factors. Autochthonous languages in the cognitive structure of students occupied a less stable position and were communicatively limited even in conditions of microdiscursive functioning. It was safe to say that Russian was the core of the linguistic consciousness of bilingual students. Today the situation has changed. The role of autochthonous languages is signified. The Russian language still remains a communicative dominant, providing the basic communicative needs of the individual (including the need for training and the formation of professional competencies), however, it is gradually shifting from the core towards the center, which may indicate that linguo-constructive functions in the future may be lost, and new ones associated with the ethnically primary language have not yet been formed (taking into account the small historical time), which will entail the phenomenon of mass semilingualism.
