One of the ways to study and protect flora is keeping and publishing regional Red Data Books. A floristic study resulted in a series of data on the flora of Orenburg Oblast, which made it possible to make a set of criteria for updating the list of regional species for conservation. In early 2018, the authors proposed 6 species of vascular plants to be registered in the Red Data Book of Orenburg Oblast including Stipa zalesskii Wilensky, Iris aphylla L., Botrychium lunaria (L.) Sw., Pedicularis palustris L., Saxifraga sibirica L., Salvia glutinosa L. The registration of some of them in the Red Data Book was recommended in view of an increased anthropogenic adverse impact on their habitats and a growing threat of extinction. On September 2018, the proposed Red Data updates for Orenburg Oblast outlined in this article were adopted and approved by the Government of the Orenburg Oblast.

On the base of research florochorology, studing the main herbarion collections (LW, LWKS, LWS) and analisis the literature the checklist of the spontaneous vascular plants for the territory of the Znesinnya Regional Landscape Park has been compiled. Some 727 species from 392 genera, 108 families, 59 orders, 5 classes and 4 divisions are presented from the investigated area. Among them, the most common part (77.7%) belongs to the representatives of the Magnoliopsida class, while the Liliopsida class of representations is significantly less (19.3%). With a wide range of disputes, coniferous trees are stocked less than 3.0% of all types. The species distribution to the leading families and genera have been analysed. For the first time were recorded the present habitats of 30 rare species (15 from the Red Data Book of Ukraine, аnd 15 species are rare in the region). The locations of the rare species with state sozological status (Dactylorhiza incarnata (L.) Soó, Epipactis palustris (L.) Crantz, Listera ovata (L.) R.Br., Lilium martagon L., Orchis militaris L.) were offered for the first time. Two species from addition of the First Bern Convention (Cypripedium calceolus and Pulsatilla grandis) are disappeared on the territory of the park.

Based on the data of floristic and geobotanical studies carried out by the authors in 2014–2020, an analysis of herbarium collections (BRSU) and some literary sources on the flora and vegetation of the region, a List of vascular plants of the nature monument «Zeleninsky les» (Bryansk Region, Russia) composed. The List includes 458 species, 14 of which are included in the regional Red Data Book. It reflects the state of the flora at the mo-ment and will be in demand for further monitoring of the biodiversity of the natural monument. As the research has shown, the territory of the «Zeleninsky les» is of great importance for the preservation of floristic diversity and regionally rare species of vascular plants. However, the state of the vegetation cover of this protected area raises serious concerns. Currently, there is a rapid change in the appearance of plant communities due to xero-phytization of the valley of the Sev River and its tributaries. The introduction and dominance of dangerous alien plants Acer negundo and Heracleum sosnowskyi in natural communities can lead to a reduction in the floristic diversity of protected area.

The article presents the results of mapping ecosystems of the protected area of the Natural Park “Medeu”,located on the northern slope of the Trans-Ili Alatau mountain range. The map of ecosystems and a legend has beencompiled. The legend contains 13 numbers. The largest sections of the legend are the natural ecosystems of the protectedarea and the natural-anthropogenic ecosystems of the buffer zone and the zone of limited economic activity. The habitatsof species from Red Data book of Kazakhstan that form communities (Malus sieversii (Ledeb.) M. Roem., Armeniacavulgaris Lam., Celtis australis subsp. caucasica (Willd.) C. C.
