FTP (File Transfer Protocol) is one of the earliest Internet protocols developed. An FTP server can be accessed by using a URI (Universal Resource Identifier), using FTP file exchange between client and server is easier to do because the communication is done directly without going through an intermediary, for communication using FTP need to be designed an application that allows communication between the client and server directly without using the browser, for it is designed an FTP application using programming language in this case is Borland Delphi programming language, the ease of sending files between computers based on IP is a value added from the FTP application that is designed because most existing FTP applications can only send files between the server and the client in the internet network means that online must not be local area network or wide area network.

This study aims to design a LAN network for data backup systems that are in accordance with certain aspects such as the selection of network design, network hardware, network transmission media, network connection devices, and network operating systems. Data is the most important thing for everyone, data can usually be reused even though it has not been used for some time, and therefore data storage is a serious problem that must be considered. Data on the server computer is very important to be maintained so that a backup process is needed on that data to another computer that is used as a backup in the event of damage to the hardware and software of the server computer. FTP is one of the solutions to the problems faced above,where FTP can be used to process the download and upload between the server and client computers. This design uses the Autobot system. The expected benefit in designing this LAN is that the existing network at SMP Negeri 6 Pekanbaru is not only used by employees and employees but can be used and enjoyed by teachers and students to access the internet anywhere as long as it is still within the scope of the SMP Negeri 6 area Pekanbaru.

Compared with traditional client/server modes, peer-to-peer (P2P) mode has obvious advantages in eliminating the performance bottleneck of server and enhancing the utilization rate of network resources. Based on P2P technology, local area network (LAN) communication software was well designed in this paper. By using the support function of Java for multithreading technology and socket technology, P2P mode was adopted to realize various communication functions, such as LAN text message transmission, file transfer and voice transmission. Though processing multicast messages, the software can detect the login and logout status of LAN users. Proved by testing, this software can operate stably in a system environment installed with Java Virtual Machine (JVM).

This paper addresses the question of whether self-similar processes are sufficient to model packet network traffic, or whether a broader class of multifractal processes is needed. By using the absolute moments of aggregate traffic measurements, we conclude that measured local-area network (LAN) and wide-area network (WAN) traffic traces, with the sample means subtracted, are well modeled by random processes that are either exactly or asymptotically self-similar.

Perkembangan teknologi internet saat ini semakin memudahkan berbagai kalangan untuk salingberinteraksi atau bertukar informasi hingga milyaran data serta segudang manfaat lainnya dalamsebuah jaringan komputer atau lebih. Secara umum terdapat empat jenis jaringan komputer yaituPAN (Personal Area Network), LAN (Local Area Network), MAN (Metropolitan Area Network)dan WAN (Wide Area Network). Memanfaatkan jaringan LAN untuk menghubungkan komputersatu dengan komputer lainnya. Pada jam-jam tertentu banyak client yang menggunakan jaringansecara bersamaan sehingga koneksi menjadi lambat. Terdapat client yang tidak mendapat IP,diakibatkan terserang oleh virus. Untuk itulah penulis melakukan penelitian pada jaringan LANagar dapat membantu menangani permasalahan yang terjadi. LAN tergolong jaringan komunikasikecepatan tinggi dan sifatnya dipengaruhi oleh media transmisi bersama dengan topologi danprotokol yang digunakan.

WAN adalah singkatan dari istilah teknologi informasi dalam bahasa Inggris: Wide Area Network merupakan jaringan komputer yang mencakup area yang besar sebagai contoh yaitu jaringan komputer antar wilayah, kota atau bahkan negara, atau dapat didefinisikan juga sebagai jaringan komputer yang membutuhkan router dan saluran komunikasi publik.WAN digunakan untuk menghubungkan jaringan lokal yang satu dengan jaringan lokal yang lain, sehingga pengguna atau komputer di lokasi yang satu dapat berkomunikasi dengan pengguna dan komputer di lokasi yang lain.Jaringan WAN (Wide Area Network) adalah kumpulan dari LAN dan/atau Workgroup yang dihubungkan dengan menggunakan alat komunikasi modem dan jaringan Internet, dari/ke kantor pusat dan kantor cabang, maupun antar kantor cabang. Dengan sistem jaringan ini, pertukaran data antar kantor dapat dilakukan dengan cepat serta dengan biaya yang relatif murah. Sistem jaringan ini dapat menggunakan jaringan Internet yang sudah ada, untuk menghubungkan antara kantor pusat dan kantor cabang atau dengan PC Stand Alone/Notebook yang berada di lain kota ataupun negara. Seperti LAN (Local Area Network), dalam sebuah WAN terdapat sejumlah perangkat yang melewatkan aliran informasi data. Gateway atau yang sering disebut juga dengan “Gerbang Jaringan” merupakan sebuah perangkat yang dapat memudahkan pengguna computer dan internet. Contoh penggunaan Gateway yang dapat kita lihat adalah pada Email. Seiring dengan semakin merebaknya penggunaan internet pengertian Gateway pun sering mengalami pegeseran makna. Despite the fact that a large number of web applications are used in the medical community, there are still certain technological challenges that need to be addressed, for example, browser plug-ins and efficient 3D visualization. These problems make it necessary for a specific browser plug-in to be preinstalled on the client side when launching applications. Otherwise, the applications fail to run due to the lack of the required software. This paper presents the latest techniques in hypertext markup language 5 (HTML5) and web graphics library (WebGL) for solving these problems and an evaluation of the suitability of the combination of HTML5 and WebGL for the development of web-based medical imaging applications. In this study, a comprehensive medical imaging application was developed using HTML5 and WebGL. This application connects to the medical image server, runs on a standard personal computer (PC), and is easily accessible via a standard web browser. The several functions required for radiological interpretation were implemented, for example, navigation, magnification, windowing, and fly-through. The HTML5-based medical imaging application was tested on major browsers and different operating systems over a local area network (LAN) and a wide area network (WAN). The experimental results revealed that this application successfully performed two-dimensional (2D) and three-dimensional (3D) functions on different PCs over the LAN and WAN. Moreover, it demonstrated an excellent performance for remote access users, especially over a short time period for 3D visualization and a real-time fly-through navigation. The results of the study demonstrate that HTML5 and WebGL combination is suitable for the development of medical imaging applications. Moreover, the advantages and limitations of these technologies are discussed in this paper.
