In the present scenario, it is essential to have an automatic billing system for shopping malls, supermarket and other wholesale & retail stores. Numerous billing systems like barcode scanning mechanism-based systems or tag-based systems are available in the market. It is important to replace such existing system with better and robust systems so hereby we proposed “Smart Goods Billing Management and Payment System for Shopping Malls”. In this system, the basic fundamental is barcode scanning for products, but we replace the conventional barcode scanner for faster and better results. In our prototype, the android phone is being used as a barcode scanner for simple, better and portable barcode scanner. This scanner is connected wirelessly to MCU via Bluetooth module. MCU is also connected to PC/Laptop for creating the database of all customers, their products, and bills. This database also tracks the total sale and number of goods sold per day. In addition, RFID technology is implemented in this system for payment through card-based system. Simulation and hardware-based results are proposed in this paper.

<p>Shopping Mall is a complex of shops representing various merchandisers that enables the customers to buy all their needed things. As it is easier for people to come and buy all their things in a common place, shopping malls are crowded. As people are coming in large numbers to buy the groceries and house hold products for the full month, the billing counters are flooded with people. In order to avoid such large queues at the billing counter, we are coming up with Smart Cart using newly evolved RFID Technology. In our proposed method, the bill is automatically generated in the trolley as the customer purchases the product.</p>

Nowadays activities such as shopping at big malls is really increasing in various cities. We can see huge crowd at the shopping malls on public holidays ,weekends and specially during the festivals which can cause rush at the billing counters. After purchasing the products the customers need to wait in long queues at the billing counter for payments. At billing counter the cashier needs to scan each product using barcode scanner for calculating the amount of product to generate a bill which is very time consuming. In this project, we are going to implement the RFID card scanner on the trolley itself and an automatic billing system in the shopping malls using the WI-FI to transfer the data into the database . The structure of the trolley consists of a door which will block the products to be entered without scanning for security purpose. The trolley has the inbuilt product code reader. The use of product code reader is to read the RFID cards/tags attached to all products to define the name ,weight ,quantity and price of the products. Depending on the signal from the reader, the controller display the name and price of the each product on the LCD display. The wireless billing system is uses the Wi-Fi for data transfering to the cashier . A load cell has been attached so that even if the RFID is not read, the weight of the product is also been measured. If the weight of the products appears to be more than displayed on the LCD screen product code reader then an error message in billing system so that bill can be generated only for the scanned products.

The spatial relationship between transport networks and retail store locations is an important topic in studies related to commercial activities. Much effort has been made to study physical street networks, but they are seldom empirically discussed with considerations of transport flow networks from a temporal perspective. By using Beijing’s bus and subway smart card data (SCD) and point of interest (POI) data, this study examined the location patterns of various retail stores and their daily dynamic relationships with three weighted centrality indices in the networks of public transport flows: degree, betweenness, and closeness. The results indicate that most types of retail stores are highly correlated with weighted centrality indices. For the network constructed by total public transport flows in the week, supermarkets, convenience stores, electronics stores, and specialty stores had the highest weighted degree value. By contrast, building material stores and shopping malls had the weighted closeness and weighted betweenness values, respectively. From a temporal perspective, most retail types’ largest correlations on weekdays occurred during the after-work period of 19:00 to 21:00. On weekends, shopping malls and electronics stores changed their favorite periods to the daytime, while specialty stores favored the daytime on both weekdays and weekends. In general, the higher store type level of the shopping malls correlates more to weighted closeness or betweenness, and the lower-level store type of convenience stores correlates more to weighted degree. This study provides a temporal analysis that surpasses previous studies on street centrality and can help with urban commercial planning.

This paper explores the negative impact of changing Medicare regulations have on hospital profitability. Findings indicate that the successful strategies billing managers could use to ensure Medicare reimbursement and profitability include remaining up to date with Medicare changing compliance regulations, enhancing communication with staff, multiple departments, and Medicare, and adopting a robust billing system and other systems that compliment billing. Since the implementation of changes, hospitals continued to foster criterion to ensure successful Medicare reimbursement, thereby remaining in operation to continue to support the healthcare needs of families in the local communities. The biggest obstacle for hospitals is the ever-revolving Medicare reform and the effects it has on lowering reimbursement for the hospital industry. Hospitals that are affected by reform report issues that relate to the Medicare Prospective Payment System (PPS), payment for performance, and value-based payments.

In modern days, people are getting too busy in their works but still they need to spend time in shopping malls. In Shopping malls, customers face a difficulty to follow a queue for the process of billing, which takes a long time under huge crowd. Customer thought that, to avoid the standing time in the billing section at shopping malls. To overcome the above problems, we emerged the Bascart system. To increase the pace of a billing process, RFID tags in products, then the product is read by the barcode scanner which describes the cost of that product and is displays on the LCD screen attached in our shopping list. As customer buy their exact product its price is add on the previous list. The cost of the product is displayed on the LCD screen by using microcontroller through Zigbee Communication from host PC. Zigbee supports bidirectional communication between microcontroller and host PC. We have proposed the Weighing Sensor for the purpose of checking the weight of the items and it is directly stored in the server database. Customer get direct bill at the billing section which is already stored at host PC which automatically reduces the queue. Then GSM Module in our system is used to detect the Geo-position of the customer’s mobile for the process of intimating the shopping details of the customer through messages which is already updated in database.

The modern technology has increased the standard of living for the humans and the large crowds are seen at shopping malls. To save time for the customers,it is important to reduce the process of the billing time. This is done using smart shopping system based on RFID. Items that are put in a smart shopping cart are read one by one and the bill is generated and displayed. After the final bill is generated, the customer pays the bill by using their Pre-charged cards provided by the shopping mall. The aim is to reduce the time consumption needed for the billing system.

Recently researches and many developments were going in the field of automation and embedded systems to develop and reduce the work of the manpower in industry as well as in public domain areas like Railway station (automatic ticket collection), Metro bus (online reservation), Flight (Auto Pilot mode) etc. To develop more Automation in and to help the blind people, old age and handicapped person we proposed a technique named as automatic trolley carrier navigation and the billing system. This method can be implemented in all shopping malls, big clothing shop, house hold appliances shops etc. It avoids the people to stand in a big queue and automatic billing can be done. Moreover it helps blind people, old age people, Handicapped Persons in the shopping malls make them to purchase in shopping malls by informing about the location of the product, quantity, price and automatic billing etc. The arrangement of the trolley consists of the robotic structure and servo motor which makes the trolley tonavigate and tell way of location of the product availability and price based on the user input. Theuser gives the command through the Bluetooth. Then the keypad passes the customer product information to the Micro-controller then the trolley moves automatically. The use of RFID reader is to scan theEPIC tag ID of allproducts to Identifythe name, price, Quantity of the products. Depending on the RF signal from the RFID -reader, it passes the information to the micro - controller and from that it identify the product and display the name , Quantity , price of the each product in the LCD display. The ultrasonic sensor is used to detect the any obstacles as well as the object.
