This paper addresses one of the major confusions in the study and practice of problem-based learning today, namely the use of the term “problem-based learning” to refer to both the small-group tutorial method pioneered by McMaster University and Maastricht University in medical education, and the problem-oriented project-work method developed in Denmark at the universities of Roskilde and Aalborg, which has gained prominence in recent years in the field of engineering education. This paper offers a comparison of the models using a thematic analysis of key elements of PBL, namely the nature of problems, the role of teachers, the nature of the educational process, and the underlying principles of the method, to conclude on a discussion of the causes of the confusion taking place today, and its potential ramifications for the study and practice of PBL in the future.

The paper considers the changes which have occurred in Electrical Engineering Education over the last twenty-five years, with reference to specific articles published during the lifetime of IJEEE. 25 years ago courses in electrical engineering included substantial coverage of mechanical engineering topics and detailed treatment of electrical machines. Today the emphasis has shifted very considerably towards digital electronics, computer architecture, programming and computer aided design (CAD). Greater attention is paid to project work and the role of the engineer in society.

The paper discusses the role of teachers and school professional teams in prevention of digital violence in order to increase the safety of students while using the information and communication technology. The school as the center of the educational process can, with its continuous action, indicate the possible risks in the functioning and usage of information and communication technology, as well as other key factors in prevention of digital violent behavior and social intervention when violence occurs. The social reaction to digital violence implies the application of an active school education strategy that involves acquiring knowledge about the risks and risk behaviors and developing the responsibility of an individual when using digital technologies, then a strategy of action when an individual is exposed to some form of digital violence and sanctions for those who violate the rules. In recent years, scientists and experts have been involved in theoretical and empirical researches in the field of digital violence in order to gain knowledge and raise awareness about the dangers that threaten in the virtual environment. Such initiatives can significantly contribute to the intensification of the educational activities of the school (teachers and professional teams) by pointing to their indispensable role and importance in designing adequate preventive strategies for solving this significant social problem.

Administration of educational facilities and infrastructure are all components directly or indirectly related to supporting the process of education in achieving the plans of the educational objectives themselves. By knowing what facilities and infrastructure are, the administration of facilities and infrastructure, the administration process of facilities and infrastructure, and the role of teachers in the administration of facilities and infrastructure, it is hoped that students (prospective teachers / educators) can understand and apply them in the world of education. the writing method used in this article is SLR. Thus the administration of educational facilities and infrastructure are all components that directly or indirectly support the course of the educational process to achieve plans and goals in education itself.

Abstrak—In the article discus about administration of educational facilities and infrstructure. Adminisration of educational facilities and infrastructure are all components or parts, either directly or indirectly support the course of the educational process that aims to achieve the objectives in education. In understanding the administration of facilities and infrastructure, the writer tries to know, understand and be able to conclude about the material written by the author, and for readers to have their own appeal in reading that has been written by the author. This goal is the author can sort and distinguish between facility facilities with educational infrastructure facilities. And the authors also know the process in this administration starting from planning to supervision and can find out the intentions and meanings contained in it. The role of teachers in the administration of facilities and infrastructure are: involved in the planning the procurement of teaching aids, involved in the use and maintenance of teaching aids used by teachers, as well as supervision in the use of practical tools by students.

Background: Problem based learning (PBL) has made major impact on curricular designing and practice in medical education for the last forty years. Incorporation of PBL approach in medical education has been a challenge and opportunity for both educationists on how to impart change and medical teachers on how to internalise the change. Objectives: This paper aimed to investigate experiences, achievement and responses of medical teachers at B. P. Koirala Institute of Health Sciences (BPKIHS), Nepal. Materials and methods: There were 25 heterogeneous groups of teachers, majority of them were entry level. Pre- and Post- test question were taken from various topics relevant to PBL such as learning strategy and principles of adult learning, PBL practice at BPKIHS, tutorial session and role of a tutor, making resource session interactive, designing PBL problems, planning educational objectives in PBL, formulation of problem for PBL. In addition to it participants' perception on development and dissemination of PBL manual and effectiveness of workshop were also included in the questionnaire. Results: There was significant gain in knowledge following the workshop (p<0.001). The perception of the teacher found quite relevant and useful for adopting new role as tutor. The respondent teachers noted that skills they learned during the training will be applicable to their job situation. They stressed for an additional training for reinforcement and update with new trends and tools in PBL. Conclusion: Therefore, such trainings for faculty development would be highly beneficial to inculcate new competencies in PBL. While the utility of concept mapping has been widely reported in primary and secondary educational contexts, its application in the health sciences in higher education has been less frequently noted. Two case studies of the application of concept mapping in undergraduate and postgraduate health sciences are detailed in this paper. The case in undergraduate dental education examines the role of concept mapping in supporting problem-based learning and explores how explicit induction into the principles and practices of CM has add-on benefits to learning in an inquiry-based curriculum. The case in postgraduate medical education describes the utility of concept mapping in an online inquiry-based module design. Specific attention is given to applications of CMapTools™ software to support the implementation of Novakian concept mapping in both inquiry-based curricular contexts.

Attitudes of students towards education represent one the most important determinants of their motivation for learning and academic success. Possession of tools for modification of those attitudes, when they prevent academic participation and success, would simplify the rearing and teaching role of teachers. Since cognitive therapy is highly efficient approach of changing behaviour by changing beliefs (including attitudes), the adaption of its basic principles and techniques in education context regarding modification of relevant attitudes, as well as education of teachers in the filed of cognition-based techniques, could satisfy the need for such a tool. Here we present the theoretical elaboration of possibilities to integrate the principles and techniques of cognitive therapy into educational process in order to facilitate change of attitudes which can inconveniently affect academic inclusion and success of students.
