<p>With the deepening of education reform and the coming of information age, English information-based teaching has become the center of English teaching. At the same time, middle school English teachers must keep pace with the times, improve their own ability and better use it in teaching. This paper first analyzes the importance of improving English teachers' learning ability in the information age and the present situation of English teaching, then discusses the problems in practical application, and finally puts forward the corresponding countermeasures.</p>

According to the understanding of English learning process and the surrounding educational environment, it is found that most English learners have not received the training of morpheme awareness, and English teachers have hardly cultivated their students' morpheme awareness. In English learning, it is found that English morpheme awareness plays a role in promoting English learning. It can be seen from the relevant literature that the identification of English morphemes is very important for English learners' language acquisition and development, and has attracted the attention of researchers at home and abroad. This paper mainly studies the influence of morpheme awareness on junior middle school English learners' reading comprehension.

For teachers’ competence, there is no uniform standard in domestic and foreign academic circles. Foreign scholars think that the personality of the teacher can do the performance of competence while domestic scholars believe that the professional values of the teachers, that is, personal qualities, professional ethics can be competent. The domestic and foreign scholars all agree that: the definition of teachers' competence should include the professional knowledge and professional skills related to the implementation of the successful teaching. Through questionnaire survey and interview, this paper makes a research on English teachers’ conception and language skills---the core competency of middle school English teachers in Shaanxi Province. It is found that there are some disparities of English teachers’ conception and language skills from the requirements of the new curriculum standards. Based on the reason analysis of disparities, the following suggestions are put forward: study the new curriculum standards seriously, strengthen the studies on education and teaching theories, strengthen the guidance on teaching practice and encourage the teachers to reflect on their teaching methods.
