This mixed methods study allowed the researchers to explore the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and questioning (LGBTQ+) materials available in public middle school libraries and to interview six middle school librarians about their perceptions on “caring about and caring for” in order to provide middle school students with LGBTQ+ books. The study took place in one Texas school district. The quantitative data came from the middle school libraries' online database to determine how many LGBTQ+-themed young-adult books were found in each of the 12 school libraries. The findings revealed that the middle-school libraries offered very few LGBTQ+-themed books for students to checkout. The qualitative data came from interviewing six middle school librarians. Their stories revealed two critical themes toward LGBTQ+ books within their school library: (1) librarians' perceptions and reactions to students' needs and (2) librarians' perceptions and reactions regarding silence within the district.

From the results of this study, there is a positive and significant influence simultaneously Competency, Compensation and Motivation on the Performance of Certified Civil Servants Teachers in Palembang 7 Public Middle School, which is proven by the sig F value of 0,000 less than α (0.05). There is a positive and significant effect of Competence on the Performance of Certified Teachers in Palembang 7 Public Middle School with a sig t value of 0,000 less than α (0.05). There is a positive and significant effect of Compensation on the Performance of Certified Teachers in SMP Negeri 7 Palembang with a sig t value of 0.007 less than α (0.05). There is a positive and significant influence of Motivation on the Performance of certified Teachers in Palembang 7 Public Middle School with a sig t value of 0.049 less than α (0.05). Correlation (R) influence variables Competency (X1), Compensation (X2) and Motivation (X3) together to the Performance of Certified Teachers (Y) is 0.625 meaning the relationship of Competence, Compensation and Motivation together with the Performance of Certified Teachers Palembang 7 Public Middle School showed a strong and positive correlation. The coefficient of determination (R-square) is 0.391 which gives an understanding that 39.1% of the Performance of Certified Civil Servant Teachers (Y) can be explained or influenced by Competency (X1), Compensation (X2) and Motivation (X3) together while the remaining 60, 9% is influenced by other factors not examined

This study was conducted to determine the effect of REACT strategy assisted by GeoGebra software on students' mathematical representation ability. This study was quasi-experimental with a quantitative approach. The design used in this study was The Nonequivalent Posttest Only Control Group Design. Four posttest questions were given to 25 students of Class VIII A and 25 students of Class VIII B at SMP Negeri Arun Lhokseumawe (public middle school). The data obtained from the posttest results were analyzed by data normality test and data homogeneity test, then hypotheses were tested using a t-test to see the effect of REACT strategy assisted by GeoGebra software on students' mathematical representation ability. The results of the data analysis of the posttest score tested using the t-test, the sig value was obtained. (2-tailed) of 0.000 > 0.05. This showed that there was a significant effect of using the REACT strategy assisted by GeoGebra software on students' mathematical representation ability.

This classroom action research aimed to improve the seventh-grade students of SMP Negeri 4 Tondano (Public Middle School) in understanding the information of a descriptive text. This research was conducted in two cycles. The research subjects were 28 students of class VII-A. The results showed that implementing the Quick on the Draw strategy in learning to understand descriptive text information created a learning atmosphere that excites students. It allows all students to play active roles during the learning as the nine steps of Quick on the Draw place students as the subject. Students use their potentials to think independently, solve problems jointly, and obtain additional information not provided by the teachers. The final test results showed that from 28 students, 27 students (96.42%) scored above 75, and 1 student (3.58%) below the standard. The ability of students to understand classical descriptive text information was 83, beyond the Minimum Learning Mastery Standard.
