The research objectives are (1) to find out the significance influence of Quality of Work Life on employees’ Organizational Commitment, (2) to find out the significance influence of Individual Characteristics on employees ‘Organizational Commitment, (3) to find out the significance effect of Quality of Work Life on employees’ work performance, (4) to find out the significance influence of individual characteristics on employees’ work performance, (5) to find out the significance influence of employees’ Organizational Commitment to employees’ work performance, (6) to find out the significance effect of Quality of Work Life on Employees’ work Performance through Organizational Commitment, (7) to find out the significance influence of individual characteristics on Employees’ Performance through Organizational Commitment. This type of research is associative causality. Data collection tool was conducted using questionnaires given to 61 employees of BP3TKI Mataram Nusa Tenggara Barat Province. Data analysis and hypothesis was tested using path analysis. The results showed that (1) Quality of Work Life has significant influence on employees’performance. (2) Individual Characteristics has significant influence on employees’performance. (3) Quality of Work Life significantly affects the Employees’ Organizational Commitment. (4)Individual characteristics significantly influence the Employee Organizational Commitment. (5) Organizational Commitment has significant influence on employees’ performance. (6) Quality of Work Life significantly affects the Employees’ Performance through Organizational Commitment. (7) The individual characteristics significantly influence Employees’ Performance through Organizational Commitment. Abstrak: Peran Motivasi Dalam Memengaruhi Quality Of Work Life Pada Kinerja Karyawan. Tujuan penelitian: (1) Dampak Quality of Work Life pada Motivasi kerja karyawan; (2). Bagaimana dampak Motivasi kerja pada Kinerja karyawan? (3).Dampak Quality of Work Life pada Kinerja pada karyawan? (4).Bagaimana dampak Quality of Work Life dan Motivasi kerja pada Kinerja pada karyawan?. Populasi penelitian berjumlah 58 orang karyawan DIPO Lokomotif  PT. KA (Persero) DAOP IX Jember yaitu masinis dan asisten masinis, Penelitian menggunakan Skala Likert dan  Path Analysis Data. Hasil analisanya adalah (1). ada dampak yang sig. antara Quality of Work Life pada motivasi kerja, (2). terdapat dampak yang sig. antara motivasi kerja pada kinerja, (3). terdapat dampak yang sig. antara Quality of Work Life terhadap kinerja, (4). terdapat hubungan linier antara Quality of Work Life (X) serta motivasi kerja (Z) pada kinerja (Y). Abstract: The Role Of Motivation In Affecting The Quality Of Work Life In Employee Performance. Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) is a new concept in terms of performance analysis that is not regulated by the organization, and a formal reward system is not taken into account, but this behavior will encourage the effectiveness and efficiency of the overall organizational function. High employee performance will also be created when Quality of Work Life (QWL) provides comfort and prosperity in the work environment, because it is consideredbe able to increase the role and contribution of employees in an organization. High work motivation will also have an impact on the better performance given by employees to achieve the goals of the institution. The purpose of this research are to find out whether or not : OCB affects work motivation, QWL affects work motivation, OCB affects employee performance, QWL affects employee performance, Work motivation affects employee performance, The effect of work motivation as a mediation of OCB to employee performance, The effect of work motivation as a mediation of the QWL to work performance.

This study aims to determine and to analyze the direct effect of quality of work life on the work motivation, the effect of work motivation on employee performance, the effect of quality of work life on the employee performance, and the indirect effect of quality of work life on the employee performance through work motivation. The sample were 162 employees obtained by census sampling technique. The data used was primary data generated from  distribution of questionnaires. Hypotheses were tested using path analysis. The results found  that there is a significant direct and positive influence of quality of work life on work motivation, there is a significant direct and positive influence of work motivation on performance, there is a significant and positive influence on the quality of work life on performance, there is a positive and significant indirect effect of quality of work life on the employee performance but the effect is not as strong as the direct effect.This study has both theoretical and practical implications. These findings are able to reinforce previous studies on the study of quality of work life, motivation, and employee performance. In addition, this research gives input to the management of PT. Bank BCA to maintain quality of work life aspects and motivation in the business to improve the employee performance.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji, menganalisis menginterprestasi kepemimpinan, kepuasan kerja, Quality of Work Life Terhadap Kinerja Karyawan Melalui Perilaku Pada Hotel Dinasti Kota Makassar. Penelitian ini bersifat deskriftip analisis dengan menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dan pendekatan kualitatif. dan metode analisis yang digunakan Analisis Path/ Path Analysis. Data diperoleh dari Hotel Dinasti Kota Makassar dan Responden adalah karyawan. Hasil penelitian ini dapat menemukan bebe-rapa faktor yang mempengaruhi kinerja karyawan di Hotel Dinasti Kota Makassar, antara lain Kepemimpinan, Kepuasan Kerja, Quality of Work Life dan Perilaku. Kepemimpinan berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap perilaku karyawan. Kepuasan kerja berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap perilaku karyawan. Quality of Work Life berpengaruh positif dan signifikan ter-hadap perilaku karyawan. Kepemimpinan berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan melalui perilaku karya-wan. Kepuasan kerja berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan melalui perilaku karyawan. Quality of Work Life berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan melalui perilaku karyawan.  This study aims to examine, analyze leadership interpretation, job satisfaction, Quality of Work Life Against Employee Performance Through Behavior at the Hotel Dynasty Makassar City. This research is a descriptive analysis using a quantitative approach and a qualitative approach. And the analytical method used is Path Analysis. Data obtained from the Hotel Dynasty Makassar City and respondents were employees. The results of this study can find several factors that affect employee performance in the Makassar City Dynasty Hotel. These include leadership, job satisfaction, quality of work life and behavior. Leadership has a positive and significant effect on employee behavior. Job satisfaction has a positive and significant effect on employee behavior. Quality of Work Life has a positive and significant effect on employee behavior. Leadership has a positive and significant effect on employee performance through employee behavior. Job satisfaction has a positive and significant effect on employee performance through employee behavior. Quality of Work Life has a positive and significant effect on employee performance through employee behavior.

To ensure the quality of the work done in the Korean career civil service system (which is characterized by stability, such as lifelong job security), the public sector must use methods to motivate their employees and improve their performance in the long run. In this study, we propose that grit, as a type of work motivation, can boost employee well-being (i.e., job satisfaction, job stress) and organizational outcomes (i.e., organizational commitment, performance). Therefore, the main objective of this study is to assess the validity of grit among public employees from a collectivist culture; to this end, we use the 2016 survey of Korean public officials ( N = 2,070). The results are as follows: (a) grit has a direct positive effect on quality of work life (QWL), (b) QWL can increase employee’s quality of life (QOL), and (c) professionalism and goal-oriented culture negatively and positively regulate grit and QWL. We also examined how employee motivation (e.g., grit) can enrich their QWL and QOL. Altogether, this study supports the argument that human resource (HR) managers should pay attention to grit. To achieve success, one needs not only some level of ability but also the zeal and capacity for hard labor, the latter two of which are considered to constitute grit. Given that, this research targeted grit in the Korean context—not the Western one—and examined its effects in the Korean public sector, where conscientiousness is emphasized.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the influence spiritual leadership and reward toward employee performance with quality of work life and job satisfaction as mediating variable. The object of research in this study is Pasuruan Regency Transportation Office. Data analysis uses the Partial Least Square method with the software of SmartPLS. Data is collected by distibuting questionnaire to all of 86 staff as the respondents. The results show Spiritual leadership does not affect the employee performance; reward has no effect on employee performance; Spiritual leadership does not affect employee performance mediated by the quality of work life; Reward cannot influence employee performance through the quality of work life as a mediating variable; Spiritual leadership does not have an effect on employee performance which is mediated by quality of work life; the indirect effect between reward on employee performance through mediating job satisfaction is significant; The quality of work life has insignificant effect on employee performance; Job satisfaction has a positive and significant effect on employee performance. The results give significant implications on practice and literature on the influence of spiritual leadership and reward on performance. This research provides information that can be used as a guideline for the Pasuruan Communication Office to increase employee satisfaction and performance
