Agriculture insurance is most common forms of risk transfer in agriculture. It is often compulsory for borrowers of agricultural loans in low and middle income countries. This study tries to find out the status of compulsory agriculture insurance in Nepal and its sustainability through answering question “are compulsory agriculture insurance programs making agricultural insurance sustainable? Or we have to think differently for its sustainability. Household survey were conducted using pre-tested semi structured questionnaire in eight districts. Altogether 377 insurer farmers (132 crop and 245 livestock farmers) were selected from the list of target population using simple random sampling technique. Similarly, five cases were selected from the study districts. Result shows that Government of Nepal (GoN) has developed both cost of production and value based insurance products based on farmers demand. Basically, premium rate is fixed as five percent to cost of production based and seven percent to value based insurance for most of crops and livestock. Different governments programs such as youth self-employment program, youth focused program, spring rice promotion program and other grant/subsidy programs under different mega projects of GoN have started to link agriculture insurance with their programs. Insurance has been made mandatory to get such any subsidy support from the government for promoting agriculture insurance simultaneously. However, this study found that this strategy did not adequately work. But if they feel the enterprises is risky and realize the importance of agriculture insurance and can get higher returns from the enterprises, they were willing to participate in agriculture insurance. Most of farmers who participated in government grant program have limited understanding of crop insurance so that they have discontinued insurance after the end of grant/subsidy program. Therefore, it is necessary to revisit the existing provision of grant linked insurance and need to focus more on creating awareness on importance of agriculture insurance for its sustainability.

The purpose of this study was to establish the influence of training strategy on growth of SMEs in Kenya. This research used a descriptive survey based design. The study’s target population was composed of group leaders’ beneficiaries of Constituency Women Enterprise Scheme. Both cluster sampling and simple random sampling were used to select a sample size of 335 respondents. Quantitative primary data was collected by use of structured questionnaires. The data collected was analyzed according to research objectives. The study utilized both descriptive statistics and inferential statistics to analyze data. Both ANONA and Regression Analysis were computed to assess the correlation between the variables. The findings of the study established that majority of clients had acquired relevant business skills. The training was given to most clients on a regular basis and enabled them to operate their SMEs more effectively. ANOVA results showed a correlation between training strategy and growth of SMEs since the calculated P value 0.001 was less than the critical value 0.005. The study therefore established a positive relationship between training strategy and growth of SMEs. The findings of this study will help the government of Kenya to formulate training strategies that would boost the growth of SMEs in the whole country. The study recommends the government to provide frequent training to all SMEs in the country to make them more efficient and effective.

Performance contracting is a strategic technique that uses feedback loops to meet desirable targets. Introduction of performance contracting by the government was seen as effective and hopeful method for improvement of the performance in public institutions and state agencies. Past Studies on Performance contracting, and Organization performance shows that there had never been a study on how Performance Contracting influences performance of County Referral Hospitals and there lay the research gap. The research main objective was to ascertain the effect of performance contracting results on organizations performance in Kapenguria County Referral Hospital. In a specific way, the study sought to find out how performance contract target setting influence performance of the Hospital. The target population was 291 employees of Kapenguria County Referral Hospital, the study used a stratified random sampling technique to get the sample size which was 184 employees. Descriptive research design was adopted by this study. The study utilized primary data mainly collected using structured questionnaires. The data collected was then analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics with the help of SPSS. Tables were used to present the results of the study. The study found out that there was a positive and significant relationship between Target setting and Organization performance, this, therefore, implied that setting of targets in performance contracting influenced the organizational performance. results of ANOVA established that there was a significant mean because the coefficients were all less than 0.05. lastly, all independent variables had statistically significant association with the dependent variable at 95% level of confidence. The study, therefore, concludes that performance contracting greatly influence organization performance. Going by high affirmation of the respondents, Performance contracting enhances assertion of more effort by employees to their duties and tasks, motivates employees when rewarded or recognized based on the results of evaluation, enhances work accountability in the organization among others. this study recommends that there should be adequate consultation and involvement of employees in setting of targets, this will lead to high employees’ commitment to the set targets and in turn enhance achievement of the general organizational targets.

Quantitative data were analysed using descriptive statistics in the form of percentages, means, and standard deviation, while inferential statistics were correlated using Pearson product-moment correlation. Qualitative data were analysed thematically. The attitude of teachers had a positive impact on CBC implementation, with a correlation of 0.560 and a calculated value of 0.00 for the headteachers and 0.284 with a calculated value of 0.032 for Grade 1 teachers. The provision of credit has increasingly been regarded as an important tool for raising the incomes of populations, mainly by mobilizing resources to more productive uses. However, microfinance institutions in Kisumu City Kenya are still far off from reaching the required customer satisfaction index. The main purpose of the study was to establish the effect of tangibility on customer satisfaction among micro finance banks (MFB) customers in Kisumu City. Methodology: This study was anchored on a Market based theory; Survival based theory and the Expectancy Disconfirmation theory. A correlation research design was used. Study targeted 10,300 MFB customers in Kisumu City. A sample size of 370 MFB customers was drawn from the target population using simple random sampling technique. The study used primary data from questionnaires. Findings: The findings indicated that Tangibility is associated with 63.1% of the variation in customer satisfaction, an increase in tangibility affects customer satisfaction by 0.341. The correlation analysis to determine the effect of tangibility on customer satisfaction shows a significant correlation existed (r = 0.631, p < 0.05). This shows 63.1% of the variations on customer satisfaction are associated with tangibles. Unique Contribution to Theory, Practice and Policy: The organization needs to train employees on various aspects of tangibility. Systems should be in place that ensures certain aspects like security and quality are retained and improved throughout customers’ lifetime.
