Performance contracting is a strategic technique that uses feedback loops to meet desirable targets. Introduction of performance contracting by the government was seen as effective and hopeful method for improvement of the performance in public institutions and state agencies. Past Studies on Performance contracting, and Organization performance shows that there had never been a study on how Performance Contracting influences performance of County Referral Hospitals and there lay the research gap. The research main objective was to ascertain the effect of performance contracting results on organizations performance in Kapenguria County Referral Hospital. In a specific way, the study sought to find out how performance contract target setting influence performance of the Hospital. The target population was 291 employees of Kapenguria County Referral Hospital, the study used a stratified random sampling technique to get the sample size which was 184 employees. Descriptive research design was adopted by this study. The study utilized primary data mainly collected using structured questionnaires. The data collected was then analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics with the help of SPSS. Tables were used to present the results of the study. The study found out that there was a positive and significant relationship between Target setting and Organization performance, this, therefore, implied that setting of targets in performance contracting influenced the organizational performance. results of ANOVA established that there was a significant mean because the coefficients were all less than 0.05. lastly, all independent variables had statistically significant association with the dependent variable at 95% level of confidence. The study, therefore, concludes that performance contracting greatly influence organization performance. Going by high affirmation of the respondents, Performance contracting enhances assertion of more effort by employees to their duties and tasks, motivates employees when rewarded or recognized based on the results of evaluation, enhances work accountability in the organization among others. this study recommends that there should be adequate consultation and involvement of employees in setting of targets, this will lead to high employees’ commitment to the set targets and in turn enhance achievement of the general organizational targets.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to establish the effect of financial planning and working capital management on the performance of fruit farming. Methodology: Descriptive research and correlation research design were used in this study. The target population in this study was fruit farmers in Mwala Sub County in Machakos County who were 2702. Quota sampling technique was used and the sample size was 348. Primary data was collected using a questionnaire. Quantitative data was analyzed by use of descriptive and inferential statistics (correlation). Qualitative data collected was analyzed using content analysis technique. The findings of this study were presented in tables, charts and graphs. Results: The study established that financial plans have a positive and significant correlation with performance of fruit farming. Working capital management, too, was found to have a positive and significant correlation with performance of fruit farming. Unique Contribution to Theory, Policy and Practice: Based on these findings, the researcher recommended that the agricultural ministry in the county government need to train mango farmers on financial planning and have follow-up programs on the same. The study also recommended that the government, NGOS and investors whose interest lies in supporting farmers need to extend their training support to them. Further, financial institutions need to implement mechanisms for supporting the mango farmers financially.

The study examined the impact of incentive management strategies on employee performance among telecommunication firms in Kaduna metropolis. The objectives of the study were to determine the impacts of monetary incentive management strategies and non-monetary incentive management strategies on employee performance among telecommunication firms in Kaduna metropolis. The study employed survey design method in which a specially designed questionnaire was used to collect primary data from respondents in the study. The target population of the study was employees from the head branches of four selected telecommunication firms in Kaduna metropolis; providing network reception service for calls and internet access data to residence in Kaduna metropolis. The firms include MTN, Airtel, 9Mobile and Glo. The population of employees in these firms’ head branches were; 66 in MTN, 49 in Airtel, 61 in 9Mobile and 54 in Glo; making a total of 230. The sample of the study was same as that of the population, as census sampling technique was used to decide the sample size. Self-administered questionnaire was designed and used to collect the primary data of the study. The collected data for the study was analysed using descriptive statistical analysis tools (mean scores and standard deviation) to summarize the responses and inferential statistical tool (Regression model) to determine whether incentive management strategies have impact on employee performance in the selected firms. The study’s findings showed that both monetary and non-monetary incentive management strategies have significant impact on employee performance among telecommunication firms in Kaduna metropolis. Based on the finding of the study, it was recommended that telecommunication firms continually review existing monetary and non-monetary incentive management strategies and design new incentive programs in order to encourage employee to perform better than their current performance level.

Leadership styles adopted influence employee performance, but merely appropriate style without workforce reskilling cannot ensure sustainable and holistic organizational performance. The objective of this chapter is to explore and analyze leadership for enhancing organizational performance through workforce reskilling in the context of a local authority, namely municipality. Adopting mixed method approach, the primary data was collected by administering questionnaires. A sample size of 100 respondents participated in the study with the aid of convenience sampling technique for proportionate representation from each department. However, out of 100 questionnaires distributed, only 96 were completed and returned. Analysis is done by STATISTICA Software. The findings reflect that both democratic and autocratic leadership are adopted and there was insufficient workforce reskilling required to meet the current needs of the organization.

Employee performance is one of the determinant factors for the achievement of organizational performance. Therefore, improving employee performance is an important issue that must be considered. Many factors can affect employee performance, such as: leadership and motivation. Based on the existing issues in the Directorate of Administration and Finance Ministry Genderal Estatal East Timor, this study examines three variables, namely: leadership, motivation, and performance of employees. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of leadership on motivation and performance of employees in the Directorate of Administration and Finance Ministry Genderal Estatal East Timor. The population in this study were all employees of the Directorate of Administration and Finance Ministry Genderal Estatal Timorese by the number of employees as many as 152 people, while the sample is 110 by using a sampling technique proportionate stratified random sampling. The data used are primary data and secondary data with the questionnaire data collection methods. The analysis tool is used path analysis. The results obtained in this study are positive and significant effect of leadership on the motivation, meaning that if the leadership is getting better, then the increased work motivation. Motivation has a positive and significant impact on the performance of employees, meaning that if the motivation is getting better, then the performance of employees is increasing. Leadership has a positive and significant impact on the performance of employees, meaning that if the leadership is getting better, then the performance of employees is increasing. Therefore, in the future to improve the performance of employees, the Directorate of Administration and Finance Ministry Genderal Estatal Timorese leadership should develop in order to get better and improve employee motivation.

The present study is designed to identify the factors influencing organizational performance based on native research work carried out through field study. Adopting descriptive cum analytical research design, this study is based on primary data obtained from the hotels located inside the Kathmandu valley of Nepal through the use of a five-point Likert-type questionnaire. With the help of the random sampling technique, 130 employees working in 23 hotels in the position of executive, managerial and officer’s level are taken as sample respondents. Four different variables affecting hotels' performance i.e., qualification, training and experience, administrative efficiency and location are taken as the independent variables and organizational performance as the dependent variable.  Descriptive and inferential statistics have been used in this study. All the variables obtained Cronbach alpha value greater than .65, which shows the consistency on items taken for the study. The correlation analysis showed a strong positive correlation between organization performance and performance factors in the Nepalese hotel sector. Moreover, the regression analysis indicated that qualification of the employee, administrative efficiency of hotel management and training and experience provided to the employee are found strong predictors of organizational performance but the location factor was not found the determinant of organization performance in the Nepalese hotel sector. This study can further expand by adopting other variables affecting organizational performance in the hospitality sectors of Nepal.

The study intended to investigate the effect of staff development on employee performance in KCB Bank Branches in Nyeri County. Training and staff development is very crucial in the overall performance of the employee. The performance of the employees has a direct impact on the organizational performance and competitiveness. Staff development is not cheap in short run but in the long - run is beneficial. The study intended to investigate and establish the training and development programmes at KCB Bank. The study also intended to establish the: training programmes at KCB; effect of training policies on employee performance at KCB; the influence of orientation on employee performance at KCB and the effect of mentorship towards employee performance at KCB. The study was conducted at KCB Bank Nyeri County, Kenya where there are five branches. The target population was one hundred and sixty (160 employees) consisting of three (3) different ranks of top branch management, middle level branch management and lower level branch management. The researcher conducted a census on the top level, middle level and lower level branch management with a total of 160 questionnaires distributed. A total of 119 questionnaires were duly filled and returned representing a response rate of 74%.  Primary data was analyzed by use of descriptive statistics as well as inferential statistics. The findings from the study indicated that training programmes, training policies, orientation and mentorship all have a positive correlation with the employee performance. Demographic information was analyzed as well and presented in tables. The research findings indicated that the bank has a variety of training programmes, well – structured and documented training policies, orientation programmes and mentorship programmes.  The study recommends that a variety of training policies and programmes should be initiated. These policies and programmes should be well documented and communicated.  The study recommends that a study of the whole of the banking sector should be conducted to establish whether the results will be replicated. A longitudinal study should also be conducted to establish the relationship over time.

The gist of this study was to explore language as a tool for religious leaders in preventing and countering radicalisation and religious extremism among the youth.  This study emphasised on language an indispensable tool that religious leaders can use in curbing this recruitment which has claimed lives and has had economic repercussions. The study specifically assessed the collaboration between the Government of Kenya (GoK) and religious leaders in Eastleigh towards countering radicalisation and religious extremism among the youth and it proposes a common discourse that religious leaders could use in preventing radicalisation and religious extremism of the youth. The study was anchored by the Social Movement Theory (SMT). The target population comprised of the religious leaders, security operatives and youths in Eastleigh. The study implored simple random sampling technique. In total a sample of 100 respondents were randomly selected from the study site. The researchers collected primary data from the respondents by administering questionnaires (to the youth) and interview schedules on religious leaders and the security personnel. The data was analysed using quantitative and qualitative techniques. Quantitative data was analysed using Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) version 23 program while qualitative was analysed through narrative descriptions. The study findings established that among many other tools and means, language is key in curbing youth radicalisation and religious extremism. It also revealed that the Government of Kenya should directly engage the religious leaders on matters prevention of youth radicalization and religious extremism. The youth bemoaned lack of employment and political participation as the factors that pull them to radicalisation and religious extremism. They also want to be fully engaged in occasions where language is used between the GoK and Religious leaders.

Inspektorat Sumenep is the leading institution of internal Local Government in preventing and detecting fraud in the Local Government appropiate Perbup Sumenep No. 29 of 2008 . Dinas Pendidikan Sumenep need attention on the issue . This is due to Dinas Pendidikan Sumenep an agency with the largest number of assets and managing large budgets . These conditions led to the formulation of the problem is How Inspektorat Sumenep role in preventing and detecting fraud in Dinas Pendidikan Sumenep. This study used a qualitative approach in which the focus of this study is Inspektorat role in preventing and detecting fraud at Dinas Pendidikan Sumenep . Primary data obtained by direct interviews with the parties directly related to the determination of the source of research data in a qualitative study using nonprobability sampling . The sampling technique used was purposive sampling . The conclusion of this study, role of the Inspektorat Sumenep in the prevention of fraud in Dinas Pendidikan Sumenep still not maximal . This is due to Inspektorat Sumenep not supervise from the planning / budgeting and not optimal in overseeing and assisting the implementation of the SPIP as an instrument of fraud prevention in Dinas Pendidikan Sumenep . The role of Inspektorat Sumenep in the detection of fraud in Dinas Pendidikan Sumenep done by conducting an audit of financial and asset management in each financial year.Keywords: fraud, government, inspektorat.

<em>This research was conducted based on the existence of problems in the competence and physical work environment of employee performance. This study aims to determine the effect of competencies and physical work environment simultaneously or partially on the performance of employees of PT. Suzuki Indomobil Motor. The sampling technique is the sample random sampling technique. The type of research used is descriptive and verivative research methods, with data collection techniques using primary data and secondary data. The results showed that competency, physical work environment, and performance were categorized quite well. Based on the calculation, it can be seen that simultaneously the competence and physical work environment have a positive and significant influence on the performance of the employees of PT. The study compared the allocative efficiency and profitability of poultry-egg farmers in Jos metropolis of Plateau State, Nigeria, across different scales. To select 143 respondents, a two-stage sampling technique was used.   Using well-structured questionnaire and interview schedules, primary data on socioeconomic variables were collected. Collected data were analyzed using budgetary technique and stochastic production frontier model. Result of allocative efficiency showed the following: The mean allocative efficiency of the small, medium and large scales was 0.68, 0.12 and 0.11 respectively; the minimum allocative efficiency for small, medium and large scales was 0.30, 0.10 and 0.10 respectively. The maximum allocative efficiency was 0.59, 0.18 and 0.11 respectively for small, medium and large scale farmers. The profitability result indicated that egg production for small, medium and large-scale farms was profitable in the study area with N675, 671.79, N4, 897,236.09 and N16, 327,633.66 per farmer. The rate of return on investment per bird was found to be 19.51%, 31.21% and 83.13% respectively for small, medium and large farm sizes. For small, medium and large-scale farmers respectively, the capital turnover per bird was N 1.20, N1.31 and N1.83. Also, the profitability indices for the small, medium and large scales are N0.16, N0.24 and N0.45. The study recommends that; Farmers should be advised to increase production from small scale to large scale through policies that will promote such, special intervention is needed from the government at all levels through farmers’ cooperatives in the area of inputs subsidy, price efficiency of the farmers could
