This chapter measures the attitudes of people residing in the Kingdom of Bahrain toward adopting mobile banking technology, also known as e-Wallets. The Technology Acceptance Model, the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology, and the Diffusion of Innovations model were used to construct a questionnaire with the added focus on the promotional aspects. A total of 1,740 responses obtained from individuals in Bahrain revealed a high level of adoption rates. All dimensions measured were confirmed to have a significant impact on the adoption of e-Wallets, particularly those related to promotional benefits, which reveals a need for future studies to focus on the marketing approaches of mobile payment technologies. Studied factors were confirmed to have a significant impact on the usage and adoption of e-Wallets in the Kingdom of Bahrain. More focus is required from a benefits perspective rather than the technical perspective. Financial institutions need to pay more considerable attention to the changing mindsets of people toward making payments and the shift to new technologies.

Recently, Financial Inclusion has received greater attention, as it is a key to economic growth and equality, growth of the business, and stability of financial and banking systems. In the process of understanding how technology is useful for financial inclusion, the study tries to understand the elements that prompt the perceived acceptability of mobile banking among the low income and low literate stratum. To explore these elements, the current piece of work utilized the Unified theory of acceptance and use of technology and with the addition of component of perceived risk. The research utilized convenience sampling to collect data from the respondents having Jan Dhan account. The results show that performance expectancy, effort expectancy, social influence, and perceived risk have a significant influence on intention to use mobile banking among financial inclusion stratum. Surprisingly, the facilitating conditions were found insignificant. The outcomes of the research can guide banks and technology houses to develop a more user-acceptable mobile banking system. Also, the outcome will help policymakers to enhance mobile banking system adoption for financial inclusion by considering influencing elements.

We inspect client premium in the utilization of the Mandiri Syariah Mobile application as a type of improvement in the computerized world at one of the Islamic banks in Indonesia. The reason for this review was to decide the impact of control (age, sex, and experience) on the connection between free factors (execution assumptions, exertion, impact of social beliefs, assistance conditions, decadent inspiration, value esteems ??, and propensities) on the reliant variable (conduct expectations and conduct). utilization conduct) which alludes to the Unified Theory Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) II model. The technique is a quantitative methodology with an informative examination plan that intends to clarify the factors to be considered and the impact between one variable and another. Social conditions, assistance conditions, indulgent inspiration, value esteems ??, propensities with conduct expectation factors. Given the consequences of the examination, execution assumptions have the most significant relationship, precisely 43.2% on social goals. Subsequently, this review proposes that before expanding the connection between social aims to utilize conduct, PT Bank Syariah Mandiri needs to reinforce the impact of the seven factors on social goals.

This study investigates the linkages between the antecedents of the extended unified theory of acceptance and use of technology (UTAUT2) model and an individual demographics in four developing countries in Southeast Europe. Three unexplored linkages are introduced, such as employment status, living settlement and financial experience. The article applies the partial least square and non-parametric methods to examine the proposed associations from a dataset of 959 individuals. Evidence reveals that those individuals who are employed, live in urban areas, and have financial experience scored higher in the UTAUT2 constructs. The article suggests the inclusion of additional moderating factors into the UTAUT2 model, which gives a better understanding of the individuals’ technology adaption to scholars and practitioners.

Information technology has made mobile banking easy, convenient and accessible to 178 million unique mobile subscribers base in Indonesia. Out of this 50 million are smartphone users and collectively about 132 million are internet users . This rising trend has been forcing 120 commercial banks  in the country to ramp up their mobile-based banking initiatives. However, in contrast to it, only 50 million have bank accounts out of 250 million Indonesian population size . This poses a few challenges to digital adoption using mobile as medium, especially when a limited number of people have bank accounts and the cost of internet is high due to geographical, infrastructural spread and cost barriers. The purpose of this study is to unearth such factors that have - direct or indirect - influence on consumer acceptance for mobile banking applications. This research model examines 205 respondents from online surveys in Jabodetabek, Indonesia. To conduct this study, we have used Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT2) model that helps in understanding perceived credibility and perceived self-efficacy variables and their roles in influencing the adoption for m-banking. Data was analysed using Partial Least Square (PLS) method. The findings suggest that performance expectancy, effort expectancy, and social influence have a significant effect on behavioral intention. Performance expectancy is the factor that mostly influences behavior intention. It can also be stated that behavioral intention, facilitating condition and habit – all of these have a significant effect on reuse behavior.
