The purpose of this study is to analyze the effectiveness of the school environment-based inquiry model in the ecosystem material towards critical thinking ability and environmental caring attitude of high school students. This study uses Pre-Experiment Design with research design of One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The sample of this study was grade X IPA 5 and X IPA 6 SMA Negeri 1 Slawi. The results of this study indicate that the result of the N-gain test of critical thinking ability and the attitude of caring for the environment is in the medium category. The result of classical learning completeness reach 100% of students complete. Students' critical thinking ability shows 100% of students meet critical and very critical criteria. The environmental caring attitude of the students shows that 100% of students fulfill the criteria of care and absolutely care. Students’ responses to learning show good criteria in each statement. Conclusion in this study is that the school environment-based inquiry model in the ecosystem material is effective towards critical thinking ability and environmental caring attitude of grade X students of SMA Negeri 1 Slawi.

The study was report the findings of an only post-test control group research design and aims to analyze the influence of problem-based learning approach, school level, and students' prior mathematical ability to student's mathematics critical thinking ability. The research subjects were 140 grade ten senior high school students coming from excellent and moderate school level. The research instruments a set of mathematical critical thinking ability test, and the data were analyzed by using two ways ANOVA and t-test. The research found that the problem-based learning approach has significant impact to the ability of students' mathematics critical thinking in terms of school level and students' prior mathematical abilities. Furthermore. This research also found that there is no interaction between learning approach and school level, and learning approach and students' prior mathematics ability to students' mathematics critical thinking ability. Keywords: problem-based learning, mathematical critical thinking ability

The development of technology today has a huge impact on education, especially in the learning process. Therefore, an educator must be able to adapt the learning process to technological developments. One way to apply technology development in learning systems is to use e-modules in the learning process. The purpose of this study is to use guided inquiry-based e-modules to see the magnitude of the increase in students' critical thinking skills in the material reaction rate after using guided inquiry-based e-modules. The research method used a quasy experiment with a pretest-postest design using two classes as the experimental class and the control class. The sample in this study were students of State Senior High School (SMAN) 1 Sebrida Indragiri Hulu class XI. The results obtained were an increase in students' critical thinking abilities from before the use of guided inquiry-based e-modules. After the use of e-module based guided inquiry. This increase is seen from the comparison between the experimental class and the control cash class. The experimental class using e-module has a higher critical thinking ability of students than the control class that does not use e-module in the learning process.

This research is aimed to develop learning device of Guided Discovery model with PhET simulation to trill students critical thinking skill. This research uses 4D development model and tested on 15 students of class XII IPA with test design using one group pretest-posttest design. Learning tools developed include: (a) syllabus (b) RPP, (c) student books, (d) LKS, and (e) tests students' critical thinking skills. Research data obtained through validation method, observation, test, and questionnaire. The results are analyzed descriptively quantitative and qualitative. The students' critical thinking ability is analyzed by n-gain. The result of the research shows that (a) learning device developed categorized is very valid, (b) learning activity is done very well, (c) critical thinking ability of students have moderate improvement, and (d) students respond very positively to learning which has been implemented. Based on the results of the analysis and discussion, it was concluded that the learning device of Guided Discovery with PhET simulation model developed is feasible to be used for trained critical thinking skills of high school students.
