The present study aimed to investigate the effect of micro-lecture teaching on non-English majors’ academic achievements and learning motivation. One hundred and twenty-two non-English majors studying the college English course in North China Electric Power University participated in the study. The micro-lecture teaching and traditional PPT teaching were implemented in the two classes respectively. Statistical analysis showed a significant improvement in the academic achievements of the participants (t = 3.128, p < 0.05) between the pre and post measurements in favor of the post measurement. The results of the questionnaire survey undertaken in the experimental class showed that participants’ learning motivations were improved. Accordingly, the researcher concluded that micro-lecture teaching was significantly effective in improving non-English majors’ academic achievements and enhancing their learning motivation.

Aims of this research are development of a complex statistical analysis algorithm for active electric power consumption data, consumption of energy resources and manufacturing products, implementation of statistical analysis in practice. Proposed parameters and criteria, which can help to technical staff in factories, to provide optimal and economical operating of supply and distribution systems as electricity, water, gas, heat, compressed air, etc. for production facilities, based on the collected active electric power consumption data for previous periods, information about consumption dynamic. It is concluded that the statistical analysis of the data, obtained for each type of engineering equipments (water supply and sewage, supply systems of compressed air, gas, electricity and steam) and various consumables coefficients (in the proposed algorithm) make possible to identify "weak areas" and to determine the most rational ways to optimize energy usage.

The dynamics of interest income, that is, the difference between the average rates on active and passive operations of the bank, has been analyzed. It was found that the increase in the share of term deposits in the total amount of the bank's mobilized resources is positive, despite a temporary decrease in net income from bank interest. It has been substantiated that the deposits of legal entities are a stable part of the attracted resources. Long-term deposits allow lending for long periods and at high interest rates. The purpose of the article is to improve an innovative approach to managing the interest margin based on the economic and statistical analysis of the bank's resource base. Literature processing shows that banks pay insufficient attention to the methodology for assessing interest income. The relevance of the article is determined by the value of interest income as one of the main factors that determine the profitability of the bank's lending operations. The methods of comparison, grouping, detailing of final indicators, calculation of relative and average values are used. The scheme of the bank interest margin management process is proposed. Calculated the average size of credit investments, the total amount of assets. The average price of credit resources was calculated based on the price of a particular type of resource and its share in the total amount of funds mobilized by the bank. The average level of interest on active and passive operations of the bank was determined based on the received interest income. The size of interest income, trends and factors of its change have been determined. The indicator of the minimum interest income was calculated on the basis of which the bank covers expenses, but does not ensure profit. The level of profitability of bank loan operations has been determined. It has been established that a change in interest income can be caused by an increase or decrease in rates on active operations of the bank, interest on attracted resources and the share of the latter in the total volume of credit investments. The average real price of demand deposits and time deposits attracted by the bank was determined on the basis of the market price of these resources and adjustments for the rate of the required reserve deposited with the NBU. A mechanism for the formation of bank interest income is proposed. The expected size of the minimum profit margin and the level of profitability of the bank's lending operations are presented. The approximate minimum price of credit investments was determined based on the level of costs and the pledged amount of profitability of the bank's lending operations for the coming period. The possibility of reducing the spread of rates of attraction and rates of placement of resources in the bank through the use of the proposed funding mechanism has been scientifically substantiated.

We propose the new model of generation adequacy optimization. Optimization criterion is a maximum of social welfare. Social welfare consists of profits of generating companies, consumer surplus, costs for development and servicing of electrical grids. In the article we present a review of existed methods of adequacy level management in liberalized electric power systems. Optimization of adequacy level is based on analysis of variants of development of the electric power system. For adequacy analysis of the variants of development we multiple estimate the electricity shortage in random hours of the system work. Analysis of the system work in every random hour is realized in two stages. At first we define values of equilibrium electricity demand in every system node and equilibrium price of electricity according to Cournot model. We consider only electricity market in the model. At the next stage we simulate failures of power generating equipment and transmission lines. The electricity shortage in a current hour is estimated on the second stage. After a whole cycle of analysis, we compute reliability indexes and profits of generating companies. Profits of generating companies are depended on the reliability of the electricity supply. The simulations of random values are based on Monte Carlo method.

Abstract: This paper deals with the detection of PC that is presented in the lines of M / T nearshore for which the study is conducted in San Clemente and Crucita to 13.8 Kv feeders, which is determined as area I study, this study describes how to detect the existence of PC in the different elements of the structures forming the said power lines (zona study I). And in this other area are in populated areas and abundant pollution for which the study  is conducted in the feeders 3 (Portoviejo Centro) and 4 (Shopping-. Cdla Los Tamarindos) to 13.8 KV, which is determined as an area of study II. This study describes how to detect the existence of P.C in the different elements of the structures forming the said power lines. Once the current state of the lines is described, it proceeds to determine the possible presence of P.C in each of the elements of the structures. In addition, statistical analysis will determine the items that need maintenance either preventive, predictive or corrective measures in order to implement measures that help to maintain proper lines  M /  T, and to  provide better quality  of electric service, and not have to regret lost electric power by joule effects shots in lines due to PC.  Index Terms: maintenance, preventive measures, predictive measures, corrective measures, power lines.
