A rare case of malignant paraganglioma of the urinary bladder with metastasis to a lymph node in a 12-year-old girl is reported, and eight other previously recorded cases are reviewed. Headache, fainting, and hypertention initiated by voiding were the most prominent clinical symptoms. Hematuria was Present in three cases and aided cystoscopy were most diagnostic. Cystography, pelvic angiogtaphy, and cystoscopy were most diagnostic. Segmental cystectomy, when feasible. was the preferred surgical treatment. The prognosis was slightly better than for other forms of extraadrenal pheochromocytomas.

Simple bone cysts are nonsymptomatic lesions. They typically involve the medullary cavity, but they can also be found in nonlong bones such as the calcaneum. Their treatment remains controversial varying from observation and conservative healing to irritating injections or bone grafting. In the case of a pathologic fracture, surgical treatment seems most appropriate especially when the cyst is situated on a weight-bearing bone. We present herein the rare case of a spontaneously healed pathological fracture over a critical-size calcaneal cyst of a patient reluctant to undergo surgical treatment. An interpretation of the healing procedure as well as a review of the literature is presented.

Purpose: This study aimed to investigate the prognostic factors of patients with lymphoepithelioma-like carcinoma of the urinary bladder (LELCB) and explore the value of surgical treatment. Methods: Data of patients with LELCB were extracted from the Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results (SEER) database. The multivariate analysis was performed using the stepwise Cox proportional hazards regression model and conditional inference tree method to identify significant prognosticators of overall survival (OS) from the parameters such as age, gender, lymph node involvement, tumor extent, radiation, chemotherapy, and surgery type. Literature review (LR) was performed, and eligible cases were used to validate prognostic classification using the Kaplan–Meier method with log-rank tests. Results: Sixty patients with a median age of 69.5 years were identified from the SEER database and 91 patients through LR. The Cox analysis identified age, gender, lymph node involvement, and surgical approach as independent prognosticators of OS. Based on the nomogram scores, patients were stratified into three prognostic groups: (I) patients younger than 70 years; (II) patients older than 70 years, who received bladder-sparing therapy (BST); and (III) patients older than 70 years undergoing radical cystectomy (RC). Patients in group II had the worst outcomes in terms of OS compared with patients in groups I and III (p < 0.001 and p = 0.03, respectively). A similar survival pattern was found in the LR cohort. Conclusion: The nomogram provided individualized prognostic quantification of OS in patients with LELCB. BST could yield favorable outcomes when treating LELCB, especially for younger patients, whereas older patients might derive more survival benefit from RC.

We present a review of the literature and own case report of prenatal diagnosis of epignatus at 31 week of gestation. Ultrasound of the fetus revealed a massive formation of solid structure of the blubber of the mouth. The size of epignatus was 3,0  3,0  2,8 cm, intratumoral blood flow was not determined, the amount of amniotic fluid was normal. With the progression of pregnancy the tumor size has not increased. After the birth the neonate was an independent breath. Carried out surgical treatment with a positive effect. The diagnosis of epignatus confirmed by histological examination.
