A load profile measuring device takes information about the power consumption without modification of the power lines. Using current transformers, the current is measured in each of the phases and the active power consumed by the user is determined. The developed software for it allows for simultaneous recording at different user selectable timing intervals. The device is designed and tested in two facilities - a School and a Farm.

In this paper, the authors propose an algorithm for interrelated voltage regulation in the power supply system of coal mine which allows to provide a normative voltage level and to minimize the level of active power consumption. A feature of the proposed algorithm is a separate consideration of discrete and nondiscrete variables. Nondiscrete variables are represented as a state matrix. The optimization of nondiscrete variables is performed for each state. The algorithm chooses a state with the minimal active power consumption. The obtained values of discrete and nondiscrete variables are transferred in the form of control signals to voltage regulation devices. In this case, the periodicity of the switching is determined by the resource of the on-load tap-changing device. The use of this algorithm will theoretically allow increasing the energy efficiency of power supply systems of coal mines.

The purpose of the article is to determine the optimal parameters inside the downhole compensator of the reactive power at which minimization consumption of active power is provided. The energy-saving function for electric effect estimating with the use of the downhole compensator is propoused. Surfacing energy-saving functions are received. Their analysis showed that minimal consumption of the submerged motor reactive power is achieved by tre power of inside downhole compensator 0.92 with the submersible motor power.

This paper presents comparative performances of an linear and disk AC MHD power generation with an active power. The configuration of linear and disk consist of the top and bottom stators. the top stator bottom stator winding are connected with a power supply and an electrical load, respectively. The interaction between the metal fluid and traveling magnetic field can be explained by Maxwell’s equations and Ohm’s law based on the method of finite-elements. Power flow and electrical efficiency of an AC MHD power generation have been evaluated by various slip conditions. The optimal operating point of the generator was defined by adjusting slip values. The result confirms that disk AC MHD power generation has high active power more than linear AC MHD power generation at the same slip.

Today, the increase in reactive power consumption far exceeds the increase in active power consumption. Due to the increasing demands of the end-users for the quality of the supply of electricity, the problem of joint selection of rational sections and places of installation of reactive power compensation in the distribution line becomes relevant. A mathematical model and algorithm allowing such a choice are proposed. The mathematical model can be used both in the design of new lines and in the reconstruction of existing lines. An example is given.

Residential and industrial buildings with large territorial dimensions, have mainly radial power supply schemes, which feed a large number of small and medium capacity 0.4 kV induction motors. For their power supply copper or aluminum cables of small cross-section (with high active resistance) are used. Calculations of electricity losses in such lines show significant values. In order to reduce active power losses in 0.4 kV cable lines, the optimization problem of minimizing active power losses in the radial power supply circuit is solved by optimal distribution of reactive power of a given value between compensating devices. The single-line scheme of power supply of a group of pumps of technological installation of petrochemical production is considered, the mathematical model of the optimization problem on criterion of minimum of active losses in power lines from reactive power flow is made, which limitations are presented as a system of linear algebraic equations. Results of distribution of optimum values of reactive power between compensating devices of asynchronous motors at maintenance of the set tg φ are received. The quantitative estimation of active power loss reduction in power lines at use of capacitor units, which reactive power is optimally distributed, is given.
