Tanaman binahong merah (Basella rubra L.) merupakan salah satu tanaman yang mengandung senyawa metabolit sekunder berkhasiat obat. Kultur kalus adalah salah satu solusi dalam menghasilkan senyawa metabolit sekunder dengan jumlah yang besar.  Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian 2,4-D dan kinetin dalam menginduksi kalus daun binahong merah. Penelitian dilakukan di Laboratorium Bioteknologi Tanaman Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Riau pada bulan November 2019 sampai Maret 2020. Percobaan menggunakan rancangan acak kelompok yang terdiri dari dua faktor yaitu 2,4-D dengan empat taraf konsentrasi yaitu 0 ppm, 0,5 ppm, 1 ppm dan 2 ppm dan kinetin dengan empat taraf konsentrasi yaitu 0 ppm, 0,5 ppm, 1 ppm dan 2 ppm dengan tiga ulangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kombinasi perlakuan tanpa 2,4-D dan 0,5 ppm kinetin memberikan respon terbaik pada saat muncul kalus 11,67 HST dan perlakuan 1 ppm 2,4-D dan 2 ppm kinetin memberikan respon terbaik pada persentase keberhasilan induksi kalus 62,50 %.  Red binahong (Basella rubra L.) is a plant that contains medicinal secondary metabolites.  Callus culture is one solution in producing secondary metabolites in large quantities. This research aimed to determine the effect of 2,4-D and kinetin in inducing callus on red binahong leaves. The research was conducted at the Laboratory of Plant Biotechnology, Faculty of Agriculture, the University of Riau from November 2019 to March 2020. The experiment used a randomized block design with two factors, namely four levels of 2,4-D 0, 0.5, 1, and 2 ppm and four levels of kinetin namely 0, 0.5, 1, and 2 ppm with three replications. The results showed that a combination of 0 ppm 2,4-D and 0.5 ppm kinetin and 1 ppm 2,4-D and 2 ppm had the fastest callus formation 11.67 DAP and a combination of 1 ppm 2,4-D and 2 ppm kinetin produced weigher callus 6.4 mg and had a percentage of callus formation 62.50%.

Abstract Plant growth is influenced by seed quality. Seeds need to be treated to prevent pest and disease disorders or to increase seed germination. Soybean planting was carried out in this study by the treatment of varieties and seed pre-treatment application before planting. The study aimed to measure the growth and yield of soybeans by varieties and seed treatment before planting, carried out in the Village of Nggembe, District of Bolo, Bima Regency. The study used factorial randomized block design with two factors. The first factor was soybean varieties consisting of two levels, namely Devon and Dena varieties, and the second factor was the application of pre-planting seed treatments consisting of four levels namely Cruiser, Marshall, Agrisoy, and without seed treatment, each treatment was repeated three times. Observations were made on the performance of agronomic crops and soybean yields. The results showed that the treatment of soybean varieties and the application of seed treatment had a significant influence on plant height and soybean productivity, and both treatments had interactions on parameters of plant height, number of filled pods, weight of 100 seeds, and soybean productivity with the best results successively produced by a combination of Devon-Control, Devon-Marshall, Devon-Agrisoy, and Dena-Cruiser.

The experiment was carried out at Plant Biotechnology laboratorium and experimentalfield Faculty of Agriculture University of Winaya Mukti Tanjungsari Sumedang which the altitude is about 850 meters above sea level, from March 2008 until May 2008.Theobjective of this experiment was to studying the interaction effect of giberellat acidconcentration and and soaking time on seed viability, seed vigor, growth and yield ofJatropha curcas in nursery.Design used was Randomized Block Design (RBD) withfactorial pattern, treatment consisted of two factors and two replications. The first factorwas giberellat acid (GA3) concentration (K) which consisted of 4 levels namely : k1=250 ppm, k2= 500 ppm, k3= 750 ppm and k4= 1000 ppm. The second factor soakingtime on GA34 (M) which consisted of 4 levels namely : m1= 6 hour, m2= 18 hour dan m = 24 hour.The results of these experiment showed there was aninteraction between giberellat acid concentration and and soaking time on high of plant20 day after planting (DAP), 40 DAP, 60 DAP, number of leaves 20 DAP, 40 DAP, 60DAP, length of root, number of root, dry wight of root and dry wight of shoot.

This study aims to determine the effect of nitrogen levels, cellulolytic microorganisms and the interaction of both the aerobic decomposition rate of oil palm empty fruit bunches. The research was conducted at Home Compost STIP-AP Medan in April until July 2016. Research used a factorial randomized block design consisting of two factors and three replications. The first factor is the dose of nitrogen consisting of four levels i.e. N0 = without urea, N1 = dose of Nitrogen 2% of the dry weight of TKS which is 40% as much as 48 grams, N2 = dose of Nitrogen 4% of the dry weight of TKS which is 40% as much as 96 grams, N3 = Nitrogen dose of 6% of the dry weight of TKS which is 40% as much as 144 grams. The second factor is the cellulolytic microorganism isolates comprising four levels i.e. M0 = without cellulolytic microorganisms isolates, with isolates MOS M1 = 10 ml, M2 = isolate MOS 20 ml, isolate MOS M3 = 30 ml. From the research the effectiveness of multiple doses of nitrogen and cellulolytic microorganisms (MOS) on the rate of decomposition of oil palm empty fruit bunches can be deduced as follows, namely addition of nitrogen dose was able to reduce levels of C/N was 76.4% of the levels of C/N beginning. The best treatment is contained in N3 treatment. Addition of Microorganisms treatment cellulolytic (MOS) is able to reduce levels of C/N as much as 74.6% of the levels of C/N beginning. The best treatment is contained in M3 treatment. Interaction between giving treatment cellulolytic microorganisms Nitrogen and reducing levels of C/N as much as 79.4%. Interaction best treatment there in treatment N3M3.

The low area for soybean plantation is still a major problem in meeting soybean needs. One of the efforts to increase national soybean production is by expanding the planting area by utilizing the sandy soil area that is still not used for soybean cultivation. This research was conducted from September-November 2020 in a greenhouse of the Agronomy Laboratory, Bengkulu University. This study aims to obtain the best dose of urea and vermicompost for the growth and yield of soybean in sandy soil. The research design used a completely randomized block design with two factors and 3 replications. The first factor was the dose of urea consisting of four levels, namely U0 = 0 kg ha-1, U1 = 50 kg ha-1, U2 = 100 kg ha-1, and U3 = 150 kg ha-1. The second factor was the dose of vermicompost, namely K0 = 0 ton ha-1, K1 = 5 tons ha-1, K2 = 10 ton ha-1, and K3 = 15 ton ha-1. The measured variables were the plant growth and the yield. Soil and vermicompost analyses were carried out before the study. The results showed that there was an interaction between the vermicompost and the urea dosages. The 100 kg ha-1 urea and the 10 ton ha-1 vermicompost treatment gave the highest plant height. The 150 kg ha-1 urea dan the 15 ton ha-1 vermicompost treatment formed the most number of branches. The highest soybean yield was given by 15 ton ha-1 vermicompost and 50 kg ha-1 urea to the total pod and the seed weight.   Keywords: sandy soil, soybean, urea, vermicompost

An Experiment carried out in Al-Yarmook Area in Baghdad for the growing season 2014 to study the effects of foliar application of Salicylic acid and Humic acid on Vincristine and NPK content in Catharanthus roseus. A factorial experiment was applied including two factors according to The Complete Randomized Block Design, the first factor included four levels of salicylic acid 0, 25, 50, and 100 mg.L-1 which were represented with S0, S1, S2, and S3 sequentially, the second factor included three levels of Humic acid 0, 0.75, and 1.5 ml.L-1 and were represented with O0, O1, and O2 sequentially to make up 12 factors in total that were distributed randomly upon three replicates and each experimental unit included 8 plants. The results were analyzed using Genestat and the differences were tested according to (LSD) with a level of probability 5% and the results were as follows: Vincristine levels increased in the leaves of Catharanthus roseus as a result of foliar application of Salicylic acid and Humic as well NPK levels in leaves. Vinblastine was not detected in all treatments. The interaction effect between 100 mg.L-1 Salicylic acid and 1.5 ml.L-1Humic acid had an exceeding effect for all the studied parameters. It may be concluded that Salicylic and Humic acid may be used to increase Vincristine alkaloid content in Periwinkle plants at the levels 100 ml.L-1 and 1.5 mg.L-1 subsequently.

Seedlings which look prima is a prerequisite for the success of oil palm cultivation. Besides, because of the factors in the pre-nursery genetic, the provision of nutrients in early growth seedlings has an important role performance determine the appearance of the seedlings thoroughly. This study aims to determine the influence of the growth of oil palm seedlings at each concentration of organic fertilizer tithonia and fertilizer of urea for pre-nursery. The experiment was carried out from January to Agustus 2019 in the Experimental Garden of the Faculty of Science and Technology, the University of Labuhanbatu Rantauprapat with a height of 13 meters above sea level. The experimental design used was a Randomized Block Design with a factorial pattern that is repeated three times. The first factor includes the dose of Organic Fertilizer Tithonia (ton/ha) comprising of three standards, namely T0 = 0 ton/ha, T1 = 10 ton/ha, T2 = 20 tons/ha and the second factor was fertilizer dosage Uera which consists of four levels, namely U0 = 0 kg/ha, U1 = 100 kg/ha, T2 = 200 kg/ha, U3 = 300 kg/ha. The experimental results show that there are significant interactions of organic fertilizer Tithonia with fertilizers urea on plant height (cm) and leaf area of oil palm seedlings (cm2). Treatment of organic fertilizer tithonia 20 tons/ha with fertilizer urea 300 kg/ha yield plant height and leaf area of oil palm seedlings the best for pre-nursery.

Results of previous research have proven that soil organic matter (humic and biochar compounds) can increase and maintain soil fertility and protect environmental resilience. The purpose of this study was to increase the abundance of microorganisms in young soil (regosol) with biopelet fertilizer composed of a combination of biochar, chicken manure, and shrimp waste to improve soil fertility. The experimental design used was a randomized block design with two factors, namely the composition and dosage of biopelets. The compositions of biopelet were 70% biochar, 15% chicken manure and 15% fish waste (B1); 50% biochar, 25% chicken manure and 25 % fish waste (B2): and 20% biochar, 40% chicken manure and 40% fish waste (B3). The dosage used was four levels (0, 2.5, 5, and 10 t/ha).The results showed that the application of biopelet fertilizer to the regosol soil reduced soil pH from slightly alkaline to near neutral, and the addition of up to 10 t biopelet/ha increased soil organic C content from 1.17% to 1.72%, as well as increasing the availability of N, P, and K nutrients. Improvement in pH, organic-C, and soil macronutrients was followed by an increase in the abundance of soil microorganisms, especially bacteria.

The shallots production enhancements, an improvement in cultivation techniques and organic fertilizer is needed. Biogas liquid waste is one of the organic fertilizers that can be used in plants. The benefit of biogas liquid waste is that it can improve soil properties and produce agricultural products that are safe for health. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of dose and time of bio-slurry fertilizer on the growth of red onion (Allium cepa L.). Research used a randomized block design consisting of two factors. The first factor is the time of fertilizer application which consists of four levels, namely: control, W1, W2 and W3. The second factor is the administration of bio-slurry fertilizer dose of 25 ml, 50 ml, 75 ml and 100 ml. The results showed that the application of bio-slurry fertilizer affected the growth of shallots. The treatment of D4W1 (fertilizer every week with a dose of 100 ml) showed the best results in each parameter, namely plant height, leaf number, leaf area, root length, wet weight and dry weightABSTRAKPeningkatan produksi bawang merah diperlukan adanya perbaikan teknik budidaya  dan pemberian pupuk organik. Limbah cair biogas adalah salah satu pupuk organik yang dapat digunakan pada tanaman. Manfaat limbah cair biogas adalah  dapat memperbaiki sifat-sifat tanah dan menghasilkan produk pertanian yang aman bagi kesehatan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui pengaruh dosis dan waktu pemberian pupuk bio-slurry terhadap pertumbuhan bawang merah (Allium cepa L.) Penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok yang terdiri dari dua faktor. Faktor pertama yaitu waktu pemberian pupuk yang terdiri dari empat taraf yaitu: kontrol, W1, W2 dan W3. Faktor kedua adalah pemberian dosis pupuk bio-slurry yaitu 25 ml, 50ml, 75 ml dan 100 ml. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian pupuk bio-slurry berpengaruh terhadap pertumbuhan bawang merah. Perlakuan D4W1 (pemberian pupuk setiap minggu dengan dosis 100 ml).menunjukkan hasil yang terbaik pada setiap parameter yaitu tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, luas daun, panjang akar, berat basah dan berat kering.Kata kunci: Pupuk Bio-Slurry, Bawang merah (Allium cepa L.), waktu pemberian pupuk

Abstract This study aims to determine the effect of drought stress and mycorrhizal dose on the growth and yield of maize (Zea mays L.). The research was done in the BPTP Banten Screen House and the Soil and Climate Laboratory of the Faculty of Agriculture, Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa University starts from November 2020 until February 2021. This study used a factorial randomized block design (RBD) consisting of two factors. First factor was drought stress with four levels, namely k1 (100% FC), k2 (80% FC), k3 (60% FC), and k4 (40% FC) and second was the mycorrhizal dose with 3 levels, called m0 (0 g/pot), m1 (10 g/pot), and m2 (20 g/pot). There were 12 treatment combinations that were repeated 3 times in order to obtain 36 experimental units. The results showed that the drought stress treatment had a significant effect on maize plant height at 7 WAP of 174.22 cm, plant dry weight of 86.67 g, root dry weight of 21.67 g, and seed dry weight of 37 g. Drought stress of 40% FC can reduce the growth and yield of maize. The mycorrhizal dose treatment had no significant effect on the growth and yield of maize. The application of mycorrhizal dose of 20 g/pot tends to increase the growth and yield of maize. There was no interaction between drought stress treatment and mycorrhizal dose on growth and yield of maize.

The purpose of this study were: (1) To determine the effect of dolomite lime and phosphorus fertilization on soils that were often inundated on the growth and yield of peanuts, (2) to determine the interaction between these two factors on the growth and production of peanuts in soils that were often inundated. The experimental design used in this study was "Randomized Block Design", with 3 (three) replications and 2 (two) factors studied, namely the effect of dolomite (Liming) (K) lime with 4 (four) levels, namely; K0 = 0 gr / polybag, K1 = 2 gr / polybag, K2 = 4 gr / polybag, and K3 = 6 gr / polybag. While Phosphorus (Sp-36) (P) fertilization with 3 (three) levels, namely; P0 = 0 gr / polybag, P1 = 2.5 gr / polybag, P2 = 5 gr / polybag. The variables observed to show the effect of dolomite lime and Sp-36 fertilization were: (1) Plant height: measured at the age of 21, 42, 63 days after planting (DAS). (2) A number of branches per clump (cm). (3) The number of flowers per family. (4) The yield of pods per polybag (gram). And (5) the number of pods per (fruit). The results of the research on the effect of dolomite liming treatment on the growth and yield of groundnut showed that: (1) had a very significant effect (level of 1%) on plant height at 21, 42 and 63 DAS, (2) had no significant effect on the number of branches per clump, (2) 3) It had a significant effect (level of 5%) on the number of flowers per clump, (4) had a very significant effect (level of 1%) on the yield of pods per polybag, and (5) had a very significant effect (level of 1%) on the number of pods per hill. While the effect of phosphorus fertilization treatment on the growth and yield of peanuts showed that: (1) had a very significant effect (level of 1%) on plant height at 21 and 42 DAS, (2) had no significant effect on the number of branches per clump, (3) very real (level 1%) on the number of flowers per clump, (4) had a very significant effect (level 1%) on the yield of pods per polybag, and (5) had a significant effect (level 5%) on the number of pods per hill. The interaction between dolomite liming and phosphorus fertilization on the growth and yield of peanuts in all the variables studied (plant height, number of branches per clump, number of flowers per clump, a yield of pods per polybag and number of pods per hill), showed a very significant effect (level 1%).Keywords: Dolomite lime, phosphorus fertilization, soil, peanuts.
