Abtract In Brazil, the producers have changed used rootstocks to get more vigor to scion. Rootstocks change the distribution of bud fruitfulness over grapevine shoots and the expression of the bud fruitfulness into fruit yield. Hence, these modification could alter ideal pruning length. In this way, it was evaluated bud fruitfulness, fruit yield and quality of ‘Niagara Rosada’ grapevine grafted onto rootstocks: ‘IAC 766’, ‘IAC 572’, ‘IAC 313’, ‘IAC 571-6’, and ‘Riparia do Traviu’, which ‘IAC 766’ is the most used rootstock in São Paulo State, nowadays. The evaluations were performed over three crop seasons, in a vineyard located in Louveira, SP. Two evaluations were performed in Brazilian traditional season, and one crop pruning was performed in Brazilian summer, called “off-season”. In traditional seasons, the bud fruitfulness was evaluated from the first to fourth bud in 2014 and to the fifth in 2015. In the off-season, bud fruitfulness was evaluated from the fifth to eighth bud. Fruit yield and quality were also evaluated over the three production cycles. Bud fruitfulness of ‘Niagara Rosada’ grafted onto the evaluated rootstocks showed that this characteristic was more affected by the environmental conditions, confirmed due to alteration of bud fruitfulness through production cycles. Additionally, no effect of rootstock was observed on fruit yield, and quality of ‘Niagara Rosada’. Only isolated variations were detected, and these are not enough to confirm the influence of rootstocks on scion of ‘Niagara Rosada’. Although no effect of rootstocks on bud fruitfulness, fruit yield and quality has been observed in the evaluated conditions, all rootstocks are recommended to be used in combination with ‘Niagara Rosada’.

GOMES, B.M., CRUZ, R.L. SPACIAL BEHAVIOR OF TEN-DAY PRECIPITATION 75 percentil FOR SÃO PAULO STATE IN THE SPRING2 Abstract  In the present study it was evaluated the ten-day precipitation 75 percentil spatial distribution for São Paulo state, using a total of 136 pluviometric stations with series over 27 year- records. In a preliminary phase, the ten-day precipitation 75 percentil  values were georeferred in the space, allowing geostatistics technique use for data interpolation proceeding. Experimental models of standardized  semivariograms were obtained  using  sample variance as a staggering factor, allowing the proportionality verification among the models and grouping them under the same tendency. The exponential theorical pattern was better fitted to the experimental semivariograms, followed by the spherical pattern. The parameters measured for the models, nugget, sill and range effect were used to carry out the kriging and isogram maps preparation. The ten-day precipitation 75 percentil  spatial distribution reflects the atmospheric circulation behavior in the state, presenting high variability. The  western, southwestern and northwestern regions presented the lowest precipitation intensities and varied according to seasonal levels in the spring. The coastal region presented the highest precipitation intensities for almost all  studied seasonal levels, differing from other state regions. The exception was the northeastern region at the end of the spring, which presented higher intensity values than those recorded in the littoral.  Key words: ten day precipitation, semivariogram, geostatistics, kriging.

ABSTRACT Objective: To analyze the spatial distribution of Tuberculosis cases with Mental Disorders, identifying factors that determine its occurrence. Method: Ecological study, conducted in the municipalities of São Paulo State. Secondary data were used, with the incidence of Tuberculosis and Mental Disorders as dependent variables in the years 2012 to 2015 and independent variables, socioeconomic, health and income transfer data. The Geographically Weighted Regression was applied in this study. Results: It was observed a distinct distribution between cases of Tuberculosis and Mental Disorders in the municipalities of São Paulo State. Among the explanatory factors, the Primary Care Coverage, population of freedom and income inequality were spatially associated with Mental Illness (R2= 0.12); Alcoholism (R2= 0.12) Illicit Drugs (R2= 0.50) and Smoking (R2= 0.50). Conclusion / Final considerations: The study advances in knowledge by evidencing the spatial distribution of cases of Tuberculosis and Mental Disorders, evidencing the determining factors for its occurrence in São Paulo State.

ABSTRACT Volatile organic compounds (VOC) are emitted by vegetation in response to different kinds of stress, such as herbivory, environmental conditions and air pollutants. The aim of this study was to identify the VOC emitted by seedlings of Croton floribundus (L.) Spreng. exposed to a polluted environment and analyze the relationship among classes of compounds emitted, ozone levels and changes in climate conditions. Two exposures were carried out, one in winter (June to August 2012) and another in summer (January to April 2013), in the Parque Estadual das Fontes do Ipiranga, city of São Paulo, São Paulo State, Brazil. We identified 26 compounds that are grouped into oxygenates, aromatics, monoterpenes and sesquiterpenes. The emission of sesquiterpenes was inhibited in summer, while those of the oxygenated and aromatic compounds were induced. The emission of volatiles was correlated to ozone levels (AOT 40). Our results suggest that the levels of atmospheric ozone detected in the summer can increase the induction of oxygenates and reduce the emission of monoterpenes in C. floribundus plants.
