Bronchial asthma – a chronic relapsing disease that affects 1-18 % of the population in various countries worldwide, die annually around 250,000 people. Asthma worsens quality of life, reduced exercise tolerance, causing respiratory dysfunction and poor physical condition of patients. The aim of research is to study the role of physical activity for rehabilitation of patients suffered from mild persistent asthma during their treatment at hospital. The study involved 30 patients being in hospital due to the exacerbation of asthmatic disease. To compare the effectiveness of the proposed physical rehabilitation program was formed two control groups of 30 patients who used medication and only with traditional methods of exercise. The average age of patients was 35,41 ± 1,05 years. Groups were formed by randomization patients were compared by sex and age. Monitoring the rehabilitation process conducted by the current and landmark controls, which ensure adequate treatment expansion and intensification of physical activity each patient. The program of physical rehabilitation is based on the survey results of patients, paying attention to their functional state, rapid assessment of health and physical features of the disease. The basis of the program was a gradual expansion of physical activity of patients. When building sessions followed a certain sequence purpose of physical training, which consisted of three parts: introduction, main and final. Used have morning hygienic gymnastics and gymnastics, independent study, individually and in small groups. One of the popular methods of training both in-patient and outpatient basis, was walking up the stairs. The second half of the course of rehabilitation systems used cyclic exercises. The use of dosed physical activity while physical rehabilitation of patients suffered from mild persistent asthma has improved functional status of their cardiovascular and respiratory systems, physical performance, quality of life, helped to control the disease.

Use of a method of share tendencies in the analysis time of some R-R intervals of the electrocardiogram after performance of 20 knee-bends and after 1 minute of restoration has allowed to establish a role of the centers of vegetative nervous system in restoration of a rhythm of heart at 4-th level of dynamic hierarchy. After 20-ти knee-bends and through 1 minutes of restoration the maximum vegetative centers of the central contour dominate. In interaction of the central and independent contours each center entering into them is characterized with distinctive features of dynamics which are shown in an increasing role of the centers of an independent contour after 1 minute of restoration.

In Slovenia, the role of general practitioners in counselling physical activity for prevention of cardiovascular disease (CVD) is well recognized. The role of general practitioners in advising healthy lifestyle for individuals who are at risk of developing CVD is formally defined in the National Program for Primary Prevention of Cardiovascular Disease, which has been running since 2001. Part of the program is counselling on healthy lifestyle including physical activity, performed in all health centres across the country. First a screening and medical examination is performed. In case of higher risk for CVD (>20%) the physician should give advice on the particular risk factor and direct patients to health-education centres, where they can participate in healthy lifestyle workshops lead by health professionals. Physicians and other health professionals who are involved in the implementation of prevention activities within the program need knowledge and skills that are crucial for successful counselling on healthy lifestyle. The educational program “basic education in health promotion and prevention of chronic non-communicable diseases in primary health care/family medicine” consists of two parts. The first part of the training is open to all health professionals working within the program. The second part is intended for health professionals working in health-education workshops. In the last few years a new family practice model has been introduced and disseminated. Some duties of the family physician, including health promotion and counselling, are being transferred to graduate nurses who become part of the family practice team. This new division of work undoubtedly brings many advantages, both in terms of the work organization, and of high-quality patient care. Nevertheless preventive action cannot be fully passed on to graduate nurses. Careful planning and education are needed to ensure a comprehensive approach in healthy life style counselling.

The aim: To study the clinical and spirographic features persistence of the bronchial asthma in schoolchildren against the background of the alternative daily doses of inhaled corticosteroids to increase the effectiveness of anti-inflammatory therapy for this disease. Materials and methods: A complete comprehensive clinical-paraclinical examination of 65 schoolchildren with persistent asthma was conducted. According to the average daily dose of inhaled corticosteroids (ICS) the patients were divided into two clinical groups. The first (I) group consisted of 46 children who received ICS in the regimen of low-to-medium equipotent doses (253.95±9.98 μg per day), and the second (II) comparison group was formed of 19 patients who controlled the pBA using high doses of ICS (494.74±5.56 μg per day). Results: The patients of the І clinical group compared to patients of the ІІ group have a higher risk of the mild bronchial obstructive syndrome during asthma attacks. In assessing the level of control of persistent bronchial asthma using the CIA-scale, it was found that in II group cases of the controlled course of the disease were observed almost two times less than in children of the I group of comparison. In conducting spirography in children of comparison groups, it was shown that the ratio of indices of bronchospasm (FEV1/ FVC) was worse in patients receiving high doses of ICS. Conclusions: So, сharacteristic clinical feature of asthma controlled by high doses of ICS is more severe nature of bronchial obstructive syndrome during the period of exacerbation (OR=1.9-3.0). In the management of persistent bronchial asthma, the Gensler index which has high specificity (94.4%) and accuracy (92.2%) should be used for disease control verification.
