The plethora of paratextual materials such as digital programs, recorded interviews with artists and creative teams, behind-the-scenes videos, and curated playlists have been pressed into service to extend the reach of the core business of performance companies. Behind the scenes and ancillary activities have come to the fore, potentially altering the way Genette considered paratexts to work as thresholds to the core. Until the last year or so, paratextual elements such as the aforementioned existed primarily in the service of marketing and promotion. They were not themselves seen as separate or independently monetised ventures. They were tasters of the real thing or treats for loyal followers. Comparatively little attention in this field has been paid to live performances, although these too have similar panoplies of paratexts used to promote the core texts: advertisements, advance publicity and reviews for instance. Our concern here is with the way paratexts were used during the extended COVID lockdowns when live performance venues were closed, particularly instances where the usual relationship between core text and paratext, whereby the latter are shorter pieces supporting or promoting the former, is upset. There was a considerable range of sophistication in the paratexts operating as core texts during the pandemic. Most sophisticated ones, like those from the NT or Pinchgut’s The Loves of Dafne and Apollo did not call on audience members to produce the experience of liveness, even if the NT’s branding persisted. We have concentrated here on Dream because it was such a sophisticated piece with liveness at its very heart.

In view of the increasing significance of services as an economic factor – along with increasing industrialisation and globalisation – the purchasing of services is also increasing in importance. This work starts with the origins of services and goes all the way to the future development of the services sector. The particular potentials and risks involved in purchasing services are shown by examples such as the implementation of risk management, the bundling of products and services, and building co-operation and networks. The different aspects of services range from those which complement the core business, to those where only services are provided, to the marketing of services. Keywords: risikomanagement, netzwerke, maverick buying, marktrecherchen, kostenrecherchen, after sales gewinn

A problem of major practical interest is the variation with x and t of the statistical properties of Γ(x, t), the distribution of concentration of a contaminant in a cloud containing a finite quantity Q of contaminant, released in a specified way at t = 0 over a volume of order L30. Of particular relevance is the case of relative diffusion (when x is measured throughout each realization relative to the centre of mass of the cloud), when important properties are L(t), the linear dimension of the cloud, C(x, t), the ensemble mean concentration, $\overline{c^2}({\bf x}, t)$, the variance of the concentration, and p(y, t), the distance-neighbour function. Much fundamental work has led to a knowledge of the way L varies with t, but not of the way the other properties vary. Hitherto therefore, prediction of such variation has normally used unjustifiable empirical concepts such as eddy diffusivities, but this is ultimately unsatisfactory, practically as well as theoretically. Hence the exact equations have been used to obtain a quite new description of the structure of a dispersing cloud, which it is hoped will serve as a basis for future practical work. When κ = 0 (where κ is the molecular diffusivity) the magnitude of p(y, t) is of order Q/L3 for most y, but of order Q/L30 when |y| is very small. By a variety of arguments it is shown that these facts can be explained (for many, if not all, flows) only if the distributions of C and $\overline{c^2}$, as well as that of p, have a core-bulk structure. In the bulk of the cloud C and $\overline{c^2}$ have magnitudes of order Q/L3 and Q2/L30L3 respectively, but there is a core region of thickness decreasing to zero surrounding the centre of mass within which they have much greater magnitudes. In one case, examined in some detail, the magnitudes in the core are of order Q/L30 and Q2/L60.It is then shown that the core and bulk exist even in the real case when κ ≠ 0. In the real case the core thickness no longer tends to zero but to a constant of order λc, the conduction cut-off length. As a consequence almost entirely of molecular diffusion acting in the core region, the magnitudes of C and $\overline{c^2}$ in both the core and the bulk decay to zero in a way which depends on the details of the fine-scale structure of the velocity field. Several examples of the decay are discussed.

I Begin this talk by telling you a story, that of a Spaniard who was living in the Moroccan city of Tangiers. One day he came to see the president of the local Council of Ulemas and said to him: “I feel attracted to your religion. I would have embraced it already but for one thing which disturbs me.”“What is it?” asked the ‘Alim.“I am a musician by profession,” answered the Spaniard, “and Islam forbids music.”“Who told you that?” retorted the ‘Alim angrily. The would-be convert didn’t reply, which he would have done nowadays, as I hear it in the news; he simply pulled out of his pocket a sheet of paper and gave it to the man of religion who read it and understood everything. It was an ad for a book recently published by a local professor. The ‘Alim began to explain patiently that the book was five centuries old and that it was about a theological controversy known as the Sama’ Dispute over the way the Koran should be read in public. What was forbidden, at least in the eyes of some clerics, was to sing the words of the Holy message because the listener would be more interested in the music than in the meaning. But it was soon clear for the ‘Alim that he was speaking for nothing. His visitor had read in the article exactly what he was hoping to find, an Islam more rigorous, stern, severe than his own religion. Otherwise his conversion would be pointless. The kind of Islam the ‘Alim was offering him, simple, moderate, conciliatory, Jesuitical in a word, wasn’t the real thing.

This research further examines the video entitled “what is the truth about post-factual politics?” about the case in the United States related to Trump and in the UK related to Brexit. The phenomenon of Post truth/post factual also occurs in Indonesia as seen in the political struggle experienced by Ahok in the governor election (DKI Jakarta). Through Michel Foucault's approach to post truth with assertive logic, the mass media is constructed for the interested parties and ignores the real reality. The conclusion of this study indicates that new media was able to spread various discourses ranging from influencing the way of thoughts, behavior of society to the ideology adopted by a society. Keywords: Post factual, post truth, new media

The Current and future leaders live in a turbulent and chaotic environment, where the real power of acting derives from the recognition of the concept of change and looking for options. In this type of environment a lot of competence is necessary for the leaders to survive. The aim of this study case was to explore i.e. gain a clearer picture of the position of the leader, their characteristics, functions, levels, the core and the factors affecting the leader and their leadership. To see what type of leader the people want simply to draw conclusions about the characteristics, qualities and techniques of a leader and their leadership. So that in the end, to have empirical proof of the leader. The set goal in this study case is today’s leaders in everyday process, starting from the very beginning of their work, to serve as an example in developing inter-personal skills at the same time as treating people with dignity and respect. In other words, they have to possess leadership skills, characteristics and the necessary actions. This research aims at finding out the real attributes that is the profile of a leader and their leadership running an organization regardless if it is economic, political, and military or some other non-governmental organization. The values are more than a set of rules, they are not only behavior code, and they say what a leader should be every day in every action that they take. The values shade the leaders’ identity and the organization that they run.
