The demand of electric vehicle is increasing day by day because of its contribution in environmental health. The main objective of this study was to explore the gender impact on pre-purchasing behaviour of consumers of electric vehicle.  The study was based on the quantitative design. The study was conducted in the Kathmandu valley among the electric vehicle users. The total sample size was 55. The standard structured questionnaire survey was used to collect the data. the study found that majority (72.7%) of the owner of electric vehicle were male. comparatively higher number (23.6%) customers had given most important to the information of electric vehicle based own their previous experience whereas least (1.8%) customers had given most important to the information disseminated through advertisement. Similarly, higher numbers (61.8%) customers reported that if they had any doubts or queries about the electric vehicle before purchasing decision, they directly consulted with the Company dealer to be clear in their queries. There was no impact of gender on pre-purchasing behaviour of customers of electric vehicles. Both male and female had similar practice of seeking the information before taking purchase decision. The future researcher should conduct the research on the purchase decision factors related to the electric vehicle users.

This chapter aimed to investigate perceptions and attitudes of Romanian consumers about organic products, in order to study the connection between knowledge and attitudes of consumers and their place in purchase decision-making system to understand their behavior toward organic food. In the first part, after a brief introduction, the authors tried to perform a review of the literature in the field, starting from the presentation of the concept of green or ecological consumption behavior and the notions related to it. A synthetic scheme of the drivers of the green market was proposed as a conclusion of this introductory part. The main concern is about consumption of the ecological products in Romania. The authors identified a number of 17 relevant studies performed in Romania in order to help them substantiate their work. They took into account two issues, namely, Ecological Non-Food Products and Ecological Food Products.

Purpose – The purpose of this paper is to examine the effects of different label-message formats (positively vs negatively framed messages) on consumers’ purchase intentions in an organic seafood shopping setting, along with the moderating effects of two individual characteristics (purchase-decision involvement and perceived consumer effectiveness (PCE)) on the message-framing performance. Design/methodology/approach – Data were gathered from 1,698 consumers of a supermarket chain in the northeast region of the USA using a web-based experiment. Findings – Results of this study support the superiority of a positively framed message over a negatively framed message in persuading consumers to buy organic food. In addition, this effect of framing on persuasion is contingent upon different levels of consumer purchase-decision involvement as well as PCE concerning organic products. Practical implications – This study offers managerial implications for marketers and retailers, messages appealing the environmental and health benefits of organic seafood consumption (positively framed arguments) would be more persuasive to increase consumer purchase intention than negatively framed ones. In addition, individual characteristics of their target market should be taken into account in communication design and implementation. Originality/value – This survey research offers insights into the organic food consumption literature by validating the applicability of message framing in the organic seafood labelling setting and identifying consumers’ individual characteristics (purchase-decision involvement regarding organic seafood and PCE) moderating the message framing effectiveness.

Objective: The aim of this study was to identify whether spending self-control and long-term orientation influence impulsive buying behavior, and also to understand the variables that may cause individuals to decrease impulsivity.Method: A quantitative survey was carried out to gather data regarding how individuals think and what they consider when buying in order to understand impulsive buying behavior at the time of purchase. Data were analyzed through structural equation modeling using the SmartPLS 2.0 M3 software.Relevance: It is important to understand which elements may influence impulsive buying behavior, as the motivation that causes consumers to behave impulsively seems to be still poorly defined. Thus, we seek to figure out a portion of this act that transcends the rational and logical choices in the act of purchase. Results: Impulsive buying behavior is analyzed in different ways by various scholars. The results of the present study indicate that impulsive purchases occur when the individual has lack of self-control over what he/she buys. This situation can be controlled if the person has a long-term guidance. This fact tends to influence spending self-control and consequently decreasing the levels of impulsiveness.Theoretical contributions: This study contributes to Rook Fisher's (1995) impulsive buying behavior studies, seeking to insert elements such as long-term orientation and spending self-control to better understand the effect of impulsivity and its causes.
