Anomalies of human body development come into the clinician's field of view usually only when a variant of structural abnormality takes beyond the so-called healthy state the function of the improperly developing organ and sometimes others, topically or functionally related to it. In most cases, the pathogenesis of such diseases is obvious, and individual forms are of interest only from the point of view of symptomatology.

Abstract It has been demonstrated that salivary gland duct cells have similar receptors as ACE2-positive cells/keratin epithelial cells of the lung which have high potential to be infected by SARS-CoV 2 virus. The aerosols carrying virus have penetration into the healthy human body and lungs via inhalation through nose or mouth.

The focus of this paper is the characteristics of bioclimatological conditions of one popular touristic region in Czech Republic. Biometeorological conditions of the region were described from the point of view of energy exchange between human body and atmospheric environment. Influences of meteorological agents on human organisms are presented by using two indices based on MENEX model. Indices illustrate the physiological strain and subjective thermal feeling of a person exposed to thermal environment. Obtained values of indices were compared to synoptical weather types. Comparisons were provided for the most uncomfortable conditions. Groups of synoptical weather types that occur when biometeorological conditions are very uncomfortable were found.

Year on year, one can observe an increase in the use of addictive substances. This leads to occurring the problem of addiction as well as the use of psychoactive substances as a serious hazard to road users. The Regulation of the Minister of Health on agents acting similarly to alcohol and the conditions and manner of conducting research on their presence in the human body, requires adequate benchmarks for performing these tests. An importantfactor, from consultative point of view, is the knowledge of the chemical structure of substances belonging to different groups of drugs of abuse, their metabolic transformations that occur in the body as well as their influence on the body. This is to aid in the proper interpretation of the results of the analytical tests.

A Vibro-Acoustic Finite Element Method (FEM) model capable of calculating the transient sound pressure generated by the door slam of a vehicle was developed in this study. A design sensitivity analysis (DSA) was performed for investigating the effects of major design variables on the related sound quality metrics. The methodology was developed using a sedan-car and its FEM model. This paper shows that a Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) model can be used as a rather powerful tool for giving design change decisions for the door components from sound quality point of view during vehicle body development according to psychoacoustic parameters.

This paper describes an effort to study the simultaneous motion trajectories of a large number of human body landmarks of a pilot during upper limb motions typical of those necessary to fly an aircraft. The objective is to gather engineering anthropometric data necessary, from a human engineering point of view, in the design of aircraft cockpits and other similar manned work stations. Twenty subjects participated in an experiment conducted to record the movements. A photographic procedure combining slow speed motion picture and interrupted light photography was employed to record the movements. This paper describes the procedure and also presents a set of typical paths of movement obtained through such recording. Also mentioned are some of the preliminary findings regarding the motion characteristics of parts of the human body.

 A problem of the essence of sepsis remains unresolved. Sepsis isseen as inadequate, insufficient, or perverted body's response to microbial invasion. The authors analyze the problem of sepsis from the opposite (paradoxical) position based on the well-known postulate that any pathological process (disease) is an adaptation i. e. a protective mechanism. The authors describe known antimicrobial protective barriers ("physiological" and "pathological") and determine a role of different variants of sepsis in protective reactions of human body. The article describes the nature and mechanisms of adaptation under the different variants of sepsis: Wissler – Fanconi’ssubsepsis, intravascular infection, septicopyemia, septicemia and septic shock. These mechanisms might form the basis of pathogenetic therapy. The authors believe that a degree of effectiveness of "pathological" protection of the internal environment is determined by time, i. e. by a duration of a protective effect. In the launch of a septic reaction an important role belongs to a massive invasion of microorganisms into the internal environment of a host by unnatural way – bypassing protective barriers created by evolution. Thus, from the authors' point of view, sepsis is a general pathological process ("pure" infection). Sepsis is a non-specific adaptive (defensive) reaction of human body to a massive microbial invasion.

Human body resp. the animal is one whole, where all the individual parts are closely related and mutually influence each other. From this point of view, it is clear that there is a definite connection between gynecological diseases and diseases of other organs, and the source of the disease is not always localized in the diseased organ, but often outside it. So, it is well known that a disease of the organs of internal secretion, heart, lungs and other organs can cause disease of the female genital area.
