Background: A surgeon's signature is 'scar' [1]. On a regular basis, surgeons face various kinds of wounds which must be healed. The healing process and cosmetic result can be influenced by wound and incision closure techniques. The Goal of this Research is to Compare 3 Skin Closure Techniques: conventional skin sutures, adhesive glue, surgical stapler. These methods will be used to determine which of them is superior in terms of wound healing and cosmetic outcome in clean elective surgeries. Objectives: To compare duration between closure by 3 methods. To compare prices amongst the 3 methods. A comparison of the cosmetic appearances of the skin after closure. A comparison of post-operative pain between the 3 methods. To assess surgical site infections after closure with these 3 methods Methodology: 90 patients, undergoing clean elective surgeries, will be included in this study. 30 patients will be included in every group. Hospitalised under Department of General Surgery in Datta Meghe Institute Of Medical Sciences, Wardha. The study will be conducted between October 2020 to October 2022. Results: The result would be undertaken in SPSS software. Conclusion: Conclusion will be based on findings of study protocol.

Aims And Objectives: To compare the effectiveness, incidence of complications and recurrence after Trendelenburg operation and Trendelenburg operation combined with stripping of the thigh segment of long saphenous vein in the treatment of primary varicose veins of lower limb. Study is based on analysis Material & Methods: of 100 cases of primary varicose veins of long saphenous vein with or without perforator incompetence who got treated by either simple ligation or ligation with stripping of long saphenous vein from at Department of General Surgery, Osmania General Hospital, Hyderabad Telangana. After surgery residual long Results: saphenous vein reux was present in 22% cases in the group in which ligation alone was done and residual thigh perforators were identied in 11% of cases whereas in the group which underwent ligation combined with stripping of the thigh segment of long saphenous vein residual reux was present in 6% cases and no residual thigh perforators were identied. The i Conclusion: ncidence of Residual long saphenous vein reex and residual perforator in the thigh is less after ligation and stripping of long saphenous vein compared to Ligation of Saphenofemoral junction alone. The incidence of Nerve palsy and bleeding and hematoma is also not more in the ligation + stripping group compared to ligation alone.

Background: Inguinal hernia repair is one of the most common surgical procedures performed in practice. Although numerous techniques have been described, currently tension free mesh repair is the standard of care in the treatment of hernias because of the low recurrence rates. Methods: A comparative study between Light and Heavy Polypropylene mesh in Lichtenstein repair of inguinal hernia was conducted at Department of General Surgery in MVJ Medical college and Research Hospital, Hoskote, Bangalore on patients admitted in Department of General Surgery between November 2014 to July 2016 undergoing Lichtenstein tension free mesh repair for inguinal hernia. The study is a prospective study. 30 Patients were in Light mesh group and 30 were in Heavy mesh group. Results: Age group of 31-40 yrs had highest incidence of inguinal hernia. Males outnumber Females in incidence of Inguinal Hernia. Foreign body sensation in Heavy mesh group is significantly high. Average of 26.7% of the patients had foreign body sensation in Heavy mesh group. Whereas in Light group average was 10%. Chronic pain also showed significant readings in Heavy mesh group. Stiffness over abdominal wall was complained by 10% of patients overall in the light mesh group whereas no patients had this complaint in light mesh group. Recurrence was high in light mesh group where total of 5 patients had recurrence and in heavy there were only 2 patients with recurrence. Conclusions: In my study light mesh has been proved to be better than heavy mesh in treatment of inguinal hernia.
