The nano-sized ceramic superconducting material YSBCO having  perovskite structure was prepared according to the chemical formula by the thermo chemical solid state reaction technique using a high-energy ball milling process through mechanically assisted synthesis. It was characterized by XRD, SEM and EDX. Here the authours studied the thermal characterization  using  TGA, DTA and DSC.

Nano crystalline ceramic PbSrCaCuO was prepared by the solid state technique via a high-energy ball milling process through mechanically assisted synthesis. The prepared sample was then subjected to calcinations to acquire the desired homogeneity and phase formation. To establish the elemental composition EDX analysis was done.TGA and DTA were used to study the behaviour of the sample upon heating to a high temperature.

The prospects of using nano-crystalline ceramic coatings on internal combustion engine parts obtained by micro-arc oxidation (MDO) technology are considered. The tendency of development of engine building on replacement of cast-iron blocks and sleeves on aluminum with the special coverings received by galvanic methods is shown. It is noted that this direction does not involve the use of repair technologies, which significantly affects consumers. Analysis and practical tests have shown the possibility of using MDO technology both in the manufacture of engine parts and for the performance of restoration work. It is concluded that it is necessary to introduce this technology into the mass production of engines and pistons, as well as the need to develop a set of equipment for repair work.

Poly[bis(trifluoroethoxy)phosphazene] (PBFP) can be prepared via thermal ring-opening polymerization (ROP) of hexachlorotriphosphazene ((PNCl2)3) or ambient temperature cationic living polymerization (ALP) of monomeric Cl3P=NSiMe3, followed by introduction of OCH2CF3 groups via standard salt metathesis protocols. The resultant polymer morphology is dependent upon synthetic methodology, processing method (e.g. solvent casting, heat cycling, etc.) and the presence of inorganic nanoparticles, which were found to inhibit crystallization. 1H, 19F and 31P solid-state NMR spectroscopy was employed to investigate crystallization in solvent cast and heat-treated samples of pure PBFP and composites of nano-crystalline TiO2 doped PBFP.

Crystalline Ceramic Lanthanum Zirconium Yttrium barium Calcium Copper oxide(L0.1ZY0.9BCCO)  was prepared by a high-energy ball milling process through mechanically assisted synthesis at a high temperature to acquire the desired homogeneity and phase formation. Inorder to study the optical properties like reflectivity, absorptivity, refractive index, the UV-VIS analysis of the above nonstochiometric sample was carried out. The dispersion of refractive index was analyzed by the Wemple-DiDomenico single-oscillator model. The band gap energy of the sample was elucidated from the Tauc plot. The refractive index n was calculated and  the results obtained are plotted  with the wavelength.
