Cost Comparison of Traditional Glass Fiber Test Methods and Computer Aided Neural Prediction Supported Systems

Within the complexity of the industrial production strategies, computer aided technologies have been becoming a survival key for company administrators for reducing expenses. Furthermore, new production methods and adaptation of dynamic market requirements force owners to apply computer aided solutions to reduce to production time of goods to the market. Nowadays, prefabricated concrete producers are facing the same problem and trying to apply new solutions to overcome these high costs. In this research, artificial neural networks and traditional glass fiber testing methods were compared to reduce the quality control and assurance processes of prefabricated glass fiber reinforced concrete (GRC) production. 143 different four-point flexural test results of glass fiber reinforced concrete mixes with the varied parameters as temperature, fiber content and slump values were introduced the artificial neural networks models. The proportional limit properties (LOP) of glass fiber reinforced concrete and trained neural network analysis are taken into consideration for comparison. The outcomes of the analysis reflected that there is a strong correlation between the proportional limit of glass fiber reinforced concrete on-site test and the artificial swarm-based optimization algorithm results. Depending on this secure data, on-site test quantities are reduced and checked for cost deduction of traditional test results.

Kota Makassar sebagai,pintu gerbang perdagangan di Indonesia Timur dan juga merupakan salah satu kota besar di Indonesia, membutuhkan moda transportasi massal yakni kereta api yang telah ditindaklanjuti dengan adanya jaringan jalur kereta api Trans Sulawesi pada tahun 2015 di Kabupaten Barru. Sejauh ini perencanaan kereta api hanya sebatas rencana jaringan jalur kereta tanpa adanya rencana rancangan stasiun. Oleh karena itu dibutuhkan sebuah desain Stasiun Kereta Api di Kota Makassar sebagai induk dari stasiun-stasiun penghubung antarkota lainnya. Penggunaan metode pendekatan utopia menekankan bentuk fasade yang geometris dan dinamis yang ditransformasikan dari bentuk lumba-lumba untuk menghadirkan kesan futuristik pada bangunan yang berlokasi pada Kecamatan Tallo tersebut. Dengan luas lahan terbangun 2,7 Ha dan lahan terbuka 1,8 Ha, Stasiun didesain tiga lantai dengan sistem struktur rangka ruang dipadukan GFRC (Glass Fiber Reinforced Concrete). Pada tapak terdapat pembagian jalur enterance antara penumpang, pengelola dan barang atau kargo. Fasilitas yang disediakan pada tapak adalah halte angkutan umum yakni BRT dan pete-pete guna memperlancar perpindahan moda transportasi penumpang. Stasiun Kereta Api dengan konsep utopia ini penulis sajikan agar dapat menjadi ikon Kota Makassar, sesuai dengan program kerja pemerintah yakni menjadikan Kota Makassar sebagai kota dunia. Selain itu juga dapat memperpanjang masa pakai bangunan dari segi arsitektural sehingga bangunan tidak perlu direnovasi dalam kurun waktu yang singkat.

Based on the mechanical properties experiment of the glass fiber reinforced concrete with 0%0.6%0.8% and 1% glass fiber volume fraction, the mechanics property such as tensile strength, compressive strength, flexural strength and flexural elasticity modulus are analyzed and compared with the plain concrete when the kinds of fiber content changes. The research results show that the effect of tensile strength and flexural strength can be improved to some extent, which also can serve as a reference or basis for further improvement and development the theory and application of the glass fiber reinforced concrete.
