In the conditions of the rapid development of technics and technology in recent years, the cooperation of the scientific-technical language with the standard Albanian language is continuing with a higher intensity than before. We notice a vigor of enrichment in the vocabulary of technical terminology, due to the creation and formation of new fields and subfields of technics, technology, also computing, mechatronics, telemetry, a multitude of concepts many of which, on one hand, are marked with names of the languages they come from, mainly from English, but on the other hand, they meet their needs with the lexical mother tongue composition (by common words being raised to terms) and with the activation of other layers, such as word-combination (word-group) terms. In this paper, in a more pronounced way, we are exploring with priority the formation process of terms from common words in technical terminologies. The influence of the scientific-technical language on the general one will be further strengthened in future, because science and its language are beginning to play an increasingly more important role on the development of culture in general.

В статье предпринята попытка описать процесс образования фразеологического значения, принимая во внимание когнитивные аспекты речемыслительной деятельности человека. Фразеологизация английских устойчивых выражений со словом man происходит на трех уровнях, каждый из которых связан с разной степенью семантического переосмысления. Соответственно метафорическому и/или метонимическому переносу могут подвергаться отдельные слова в составе фразеологической единицы, переменное словосочетание или фразеологизм в целом. Концептуальная композиционность, характерная для первого уровня фразеологизации, позволяет определить вклад в результативное значение каждого компонента в составе фразеологической единицы. Концептуальная интеграция на втором и третьем уровнях дает возможность проследить дальнейшее развитие фразеологического значения за счет взаимодействия значения прототипа фразеологизма, продуцируемого им образа, экстралингвистических знаний и метафорического/метонимического переноса. The article attempts to describe the process of forming a phraseological meaning, taking into consideration the cognitive aspects of human speech activity. Phraseologization of English Set Expressions with the Word Man can take place at three levels, each of them being associated with a different degree of a semantic change. Accordingly, metaphorical and / or metonymic transference may touch upon individual words in a word group, a free word combination or a phraseological unit as a whole. The principle of conceptual compositionality, which is characteristic of the first level of phraseologization, makes it possible to determine the contribution of each component of a word group into the resultant phraseological meaning. And the analysis of conceptual integration at the second and third levels allows to trace the further development of a phraseological meaning by means of the interaction between the meaning of the phraseological prototype, the image produced by it, extralinguistic knowledge and metaphorical / metonymic transference.

This study examined the effectiveness of matrix-training procedures in teaching action + object utterances in both the receptive and expressive language modalities. The subjects were 4 developmentally delayed preschool boys who failed to produce spontaneous, functional two-word utterances. A multiple baseline design across responses with a multiple probe technique was employed. Subjects were taught 4–6 of 48 receptive and 48 expressive responses. Acquisition of a word combination rule was facilitated by the use of familiar lexical items, whereas subsequent acquisition of new lexical knowledge was enhanced by couching training in a previously trained word combination pattern. Although receptive knowledge was not sufficient for the demonstration of corresponding expressive performance for most of the children, only minimal expressive training was required to achieve this objective. For most matrix items, subjects responded receptively before they did so expressively. For 2 subjects, when complete receptive recombinative generalization had not been achieved, expressive training facilitated receptive responding. The results of this study elucidate benefits to training one linguistic aspect (lexical item, word combination pattern) at a time to maximize generalization in developmentally delayed preschoolers.

This study aims to see the implementation of project based learning methods (PBL) implemented by lecturers in the Science, Technology and Engineering P&P processes in Islam as an effort to enhance students' understanding in the Fiqh Method. Respondents in this study were students of second semester, Diploma of Mechanical Engineering program, Department of Mechanical Engineering, Politeknik Banting. Observation and interview methods are used for data collection purposes. The data were analyzed descriptively and presented in narrative form. The findings show that PBL activity is a fun and enjoyable P&P activity for students. Abstrak Kajian  ini  bertujuan  untuk  melihat  perlaksanaan  kaedah  pembelajaran  berasaskan  projek  (PBL)  yang dilaksanakan  oleh  pensyarah  dalam  proses  P&P Sains,  Teknologi  dan  kejuruteraan  dalam  Islam  sebagai usaha  meningkatkan  kefahaman  pelajar  pelajar  dalam  tajuk  Kaedah Fiqh.  Responden  dalam  kajian  ini adalah   terdiri   daripada   pelajar   semester   dua   progran   Diploma   Kejuruteraan   Mekanikal,   Jabatan Kejuruteraan  Mekanikal,  Politeknik  Banting.  Kaedah  pemerhatian  dan  temu  bual  digunakan  bagi  tujuan pengutipan data. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif dan dipersembahkan dalam bentuk naratif. Dapatan kajian menunjukkan aktiviti PBL merupakan aktiviti P&P yang disukai dan menyeronokkan bagi para pelajar.
