The study investigated into job satisfaction and teacher retention. Fifty teachers who were made up of 36 males and 14 females were randomly sampled. Questionnaire was used in the data collection. The data gathered was scored with a likert scale. The raw scores were entered into the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences(SPSS) Software System. The first research question sought to find out what factors contributed to job satisfaction among teachers at Zuarungu Senior High School. A good number of the teachers agreed to factors such as salary, accommodation and administrative support contributing to job satisfaction. The second research question was to find out in what ways job dissatisfaction affected teachers’ performance in Zuarungu Senior High School. Majority agreed that absenteeism, refusal to do assigned duties, not setting and marking of exams timely are some of the effects of job dissatisfaction. Research question three was to find out what factors influenced teachers’ decision to quit teaching in Zuarungu Senior High School. The teachers responded to the following factors that would compel them to quit teaching; no provision of accommodation for teachers and non-payments of allowances due them. Research question four was to find out effective ways of attracting and retaining teachers in Zuarungu Senior High School. The teachers agreed that provision of accommodation, payment of allowances and soft loans would attract them to the school. The analysis was summarized and concluded that employees, especially teachers leave the teaching field because they are not satisfied with theirjob as a result of poor working conditions. They study recommended that Ghana Education Service should provide goodworking conditions like provision of accommodation and timely payment of allowances to mitigate their decision to quit teaching which in the long run affects the performances of the innocent school children. It was suggested that the research should be widened tocover more schools in the municipality

The quality of education is strongly influenced by teacher performance. One factor that supports the improvement of teacher performance is job satisfaction. When job satisfaction is high, it will affect job performance and achieve goals optimally. This study aims to determine the effect of job satisfaction on teacher performance in the state Islamic Senior High School in Medan, Indonesia. The research method used is quantitative methods with a sample of 45 teachers taken from Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 3 Medan. Data analysis was performed using a t-test with a significance level of 95 %. Based on the test result, it is obtained that tcount > ttable. This shows that there is a significant correlation between job satisfaction and teacher performance. Based on the analysis results, it is concluded that job satisfaction is one of the factors that increase teacher performance where the higher the job satisfaction, the better and the performance of the teachers. This study provides recommendations for educational policyholders to increasingly pay attention to the factors that can increase teacher job satisfaction in state Islamic High School public in particular or other educational institutions in general.

   The purpose of this study is to know: 1) the effect of certification on the performance of accounting teachers in Senior High School (SMA) Kota Cilegon; 2) the influence of career development on the performance of high school accounting teachers in Cilegon City; 3) the influence of certification and career development together towards the performance of accounting teachers in SMA Kota Cilegon. The method used is a survey of all high school accounting teachers in Cilegon City. Number of samples counted 48 people. Based on the research results can be concluded: (1) There is a significant influence between teacher certification with job satisfaction of accounting teachers in Cilegon City; (2) there is a significant influence between career development with job satisfaction of accounting teacher in Cilegon City; and (3) there is a significant influence between teacher certification and career development on accounting teacher accounting satisfaction in Cilegon City.

Islam religion has been taught to the students since they are in junior high school, but the juvenile delinquency still often happens. Based on M. Amien Rais, social tawhid is needed to be solution of the problem above. Budi Mulia Dua Yogyakarta International Senior High School is one of many schools that is built by M. Amien Rais which has been doing the implementation of the social tauchid concept. Based on M. Amien Rais, social tawhid means a social dimension from tauhīdullāh (to a knowledge the oneness of God). The implementation of the social tawhid concept of M. Amien Rais in Budi Mulia Dua Yogyakarta International Senior High School could be seen from the arrangement of the perspective an the mission of the school. Then it is applied in extracurricular activity and is evaluated by meeting session. Some of the extracurriculars that apply the social tawhid mission are social volunteer, the distribution of Qurban’s meat, tithe institute and flea market.

PurposeStrategic goal achievement in every sector of a company relies fundamentally on the firm's employees. This study aims to disclose the factors that spur employees of major Information Technology (IT) companies in the United States (US).Design/methodology/approachIn this paper, 15,000 reviews from the top 15 United States IT companies were collected from the social media platform Glassdoor to uncover the factors that satisfy IT employees. To learn the most meaningful features that influence the scores, positive and negative remarks, as well as advice to the management team, were analyzed through a support vector machine.FindingsResults highlight a positive attitude of coworkers, contributing to a positive environment and job satisfaction. However, unsatisfied IT employees reveal that work exhaustion is the main reason for their job dissatisfaction.Practical implicationsIT human resource departments can use these valuable insights to align their strategies in accordance with their employees' desires and expectations in order to thrive.Originality/valueThe study highlights the relevance of IT companies to understand the reasons behind their employees' satisfaction. Up until now, little is known concerning the variants of job satisfaction among IT employees, enriching the understanding in this particular professional area.
