“Structural mechanics” is a professional basic course for civil engineering majors in Chinese universities. With the renewal of engineering education concept and the continuous improvement of social requirements for civil engineering professionals, the traditional structural mechanics teaching has gradually been unable to meet the learning needs of students. Taking the engineering certification in the new period as the guidance direction, reforming the teaching of structural mechanics and creating the “golden course” of structural mechanics have become the focus of teaching reform of civil engineering specialty in colleges and universities. This paper starts from the analysis of the problems existing in the teaching of structural mechanics, focusing on the teaching reform countermeasures of structural mechanics course, hoping to further optimize the teaching system of structural mechanics in colleges and universities, and cultivate more high-quality talents of engineering specialty.

<p>The reform of the current education system has put forward higher requirements on the teaching of colleges and universities. On the one hand, teachers should be responsible for teaching students‘ knowledge and improving students' cultural literacy. On the other hand, they should cultivate students' comprehensive practical ability and innovative ability. Civil engineering major is an important major to train talents for China's economic development. The educational reform of colleges and universities should constantly improve the quality of practical teaching of civil engineering and cultivate talents with strong comprehensive ability for China's economic and social development. At present, the research on the teaching reform of civil engineering is deepening, aiming at improving the quality of civil engineering teaching and promoting the reform of construction course teaching. With the rapid development of China's cultural and creative industries, the influence of cultural and creative ideas in fashion design is increasing, and art talents with innovative ability have become hot objects in the society.
