Education, Exposure, Awareness, and, Changes in the lifestyle has been successful in bringing women out of the four walls of domestic confinement into the world of earning, confidence, and self-reliance. Achievements of women in every field are noticeable bringing laurels to womanhood. Along with this that goes unnoticeable are the challenges faced by these women all through their working life. This is a big obstacle for women to function daily and also prove and progress in their careers. This paper studies the level of challenges faced by women teachers in maintaining Work-Life balance with special reference to State Universities of Karnataka. Responses from the sample are used to test the hypotheses that there is an association between Challenges faced and work-life balance. Challenges have been studied under three domains such as Individual factors, Family Factors, and Organizational Factors. For this purpose, 422 Women teachers of State Universities of Karnataka were selected for the study. The study showed that respondents had an overall moderate level of challenges. Results also revealed that there is an association between the challenges and work-life balance. The outcome of the study will help in understanding the challenges faced and its relationship with work-life balance.

The purpose of working women has changed throughout the creation due to economic shifts and social needs. This has resulted in a scenario in which working women have tremendous pressure to develop a career as robust as their male counterparts while nourishing active engagement in personal life. The ever-increasing workload is bringing a plaster bandage on the working women leaving them with less time for themselves. The increasing responsibilities on the personal front with the technological blessings like advanced mobile phones, notepads, etc. that keeps work life integrated with personal life also creates stress on personal and professional fronts in this knowledge age

In the present scenario, work life balance for women employees is highly desirable and if there is no job satisfaction and consistency in life, it can create a dilemma for working women. Work life balance requires attaining equilibrium between professional work and personal work, so that it reduces friction between official and domestic life. The ultimate performance of any organization depends on the performance of its employees, which in turn depends on numerous factors. These factors can be related to job satisfaction or family or both. A comparative study is conducted among the working women of some Govt. colleges and national institutes of Bhopal in education sector and nationalized banks, running their in Bhopal (M.P.) for banking sector. The objective of this research is to study the working environment and women‟s perception about the work life balance and job satisfaction, who are working in banking and education sector. Apart from it, another significant objective is to study effects of work life balance on job satisfaction and initiatives taken by the organizations for effective work life balance and its relation with the job satisfaction. Standard Deviation is applied in this paper to check the authenticity of data given by the respondents of both the sectors. Finding suggests that WLB can be achieved by the factors responsible for job satisfaction such as: supportive colleagues, supportive working conditions, mentally challenging work, equitable rewards and employee oriented policies etc.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan alat ukur psikologi yang mengukur quality of working life karyawan, dengan menggunakan lima dimensi quality of working life yaitu health & well being, job security, job satisfaction, competency development, dan work & non-work life balance. Penelitian ini penting untuk dilakukan, dikarenakan alat ukur quality of working life dengan kelima dimensi tersebut masih tergolong baru, dan quality of working life juga merupakan hal penting untuk diperhatikan oleh suatu organisasi. Paritisipan yang terlibat dalam pengambilan data utama adalah sebanyak 109 orang partisipan. Pendekatan yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kuantitatif, dengan desain non-experimental, dan bersifat deskriptif. Berdasarkan pada hasil penelitian ini, alat ukur yang peneliti kembangkan telah memenuhi standar psikometri. Terdapat beberapa rangkaian analisis yang peneliti lakukan, yaitu menguji keterbacaan aitem kepada lima orang, yang mana menghasilkan 69 aitem pernyataan, dan kemudian melakukan uji coba alat ukur kepada 36 orang partisipan, dan menganalisis aitem alat ukur tersebut, dan menghasilkan 40 aitem setelah terdapat beberapa aitem yang digugurkan. Kemudian peneliti melakukan pengambilan data utama alat ukur dengan melibatkan 109 orang partisipan, dan menghasilkan alpha cronbach sebesar 0,959 dan dapat dinyatakan alat ukur tersebut reliabel, sedangkan r hitung lebih dari 0,300 yang dapat diartikan bahwa 40 aitem pernyataan dinyatakan valid.

In the competitive era of today, women have to battle hard to establish their individuality in the society, as well as in professional life. Work-life balance is the major problem in the life of working women. The study covers work-life balance of women doctors of private hospitals of Jharkhand. This study helps to understand the impact of work-life balance on job satisfaction. Regression analysis and ANOVA Test have been used to test the relationship between the variables. The study has found that work-life balance has positive impact on job satisfaction

Balance in work and family life is an emerging challenge for both employees and employers. This study was conducted to assess the status of work life balance among post graduates in Eastern province. The first objective of the study was to find the level of individual, organizational and environmental factors of work life balance.The second objective of the study was to find out the level of work life balance, The third objective of the study was to explore the relationship among them. And the fourth objective was to explore the impact of individual, organizational and environmental factors on Work life balance among post graduates in Eastern province. By using questionnaires data were collected from 103 Post graduates who are following Post graduate program in Eastern University of Sri Lanka and South Eastern University of Sri Lanka and stratified sampling was used.  Data were analyzed and evaluated by using univariate and regression analysis. Findings of this study revealed that the individual factors, organizational factors and environmental factors were in high level among post graduates in Eastern province. At the same these three variables positively and significantly impact on Work life balance of post graduates.

An employed mother is carrying the pains of her child crying at home till she returns at home indicating separation anxiety; a Father is stressed on the work spot resulting of his known negligence for his family. It has a great influence on overall quality of life.  Of course the art of doing lies in balancing among work, non-work and family aspects of life. Work and quality of life: QWL provides for the balanced relationship among work, non-work and family life should not be strained by working hours, including business travel, transfers, vacations etc. The research study was focused on Women Employee Work-Life Balance of service sector namely Academics, Banks and Health care sector of Aurangabad Region on a pilot study basis . An Attempt was done to study the existence of work-life balance problem among the working women in the specified area which can be executed on a large sample later on. It was tried to examine how the factors affecting work-life balance influence quality of life of married working women.
