Palavras-chave: Educação escolarizada; Emancipação social; EJA.Education and social emancipation in the life story of EJA subjectsABSTRACTThis study presents the role of school education for social emancipation from the perspective of the subjects of Youth and Adult Education (EJA). In order to understand the relationship between school education and social emancipation, we analysed the mosaics that were elaborated by the research subjects. For this understanding, the studies of the life trajectory categories were used as a theoretical framework, relating the concepts of habitus and fields, with Bourdieu (1989, 2007 and 2011) and social emancipation from the perspective of Freire (1980, 2006 and 2013) and we bring some considerations from Adorno (1995). He collected data belong to the researches carried out during the master degree (2018-2020), especially with the mosaic. By means of this activity, the following categories were analyzed: human development, protagonism, critical participation in society and in the working world. The importance of schooling for the lives of EJA subjects was perceived in the family, work and social fields at different levels and needs. The Work–Family Conflict and Family–Work Conflict Scale (WFC & FWC Scale) is a questionnaire commonly used to assess conflicts that arise when required time devotion and strain for work obligations interfere with family responsibilities (work-family conflict) and conflicts that arise when family responsibilities interfere with work responsiblities (family work conflict). Past reports on the psychometric properties and recommendations for application of the WFC & FWC Scale mostly rely on samples from the United States. The current study is the first to report psychometric properties of a German-language version of the WFC & FWC Scale, including invariance analyses across women and men, and test-retest reliabilities. The analysis of the latent structure that was based on responses from 274 employes (77.0% women, 23.0% men) of a medical university in Austria revealed that the bifactor model had a satisfactory fit with the data. Configural and metric invariance indicated a similar factor structure and similar meaning in women and men. However, scalar invariance cannot be assumed. Thus, differences in scale scores between women and men might not adequately reflect level differences in the underlying latent factor. High internal consistencies and high test-retest reliabilities offer evidence for adequate reliability. Additionally, evidence for convergent (links to work stress and relationship satisfaction) and divergent validity (no links to career ambition) were found. In summary, the current study offers adequate evidence for validity and reliability of a German-language version of the WFC & FWC Scale.

Purpose: The present research aims to test the relationship and influence of poor supervision and green employee behavior in its dimensions (Working Sustainably, Conserving Resources, Influencing Others, Taking Initiative and Avoiding Harm) at the Technical Institute / Diwaniyah. Design / Methodology: based on the research sample, (274) questionnaire forms were distributed to the employees of the Technical Institute / Diwaniya (teachers and technicians), and after examining the retrieved forms, (26) forms were excluded because they were not valid and did not fulfill the conditions required So the forms suitable for analysis are (248) questionnaires, with a return rate of (94.8%). Findings: The search results show that arbitrary supervision affects the attitudes and performance of workers, as workers who see that they are being subjected to abuse are more likely to leave their jobs, have a decrease in their positive behaviors, and they have a decrease in job and life satisfaction, as well as Job commitment, family / work conflict, and high psychological pressure. Research recommendations: One of the most important recommendations reached by the research is preparing a code of conduct and professional conduct standards to guide the behavior and behavior of employees and supervisors, and intensifying awareness and education programs.

This study examined the contribution of parental beliefs, the scope of involvement in family responsibilities, and the sense of being burdened with these responsibilities in shaping the results of conflict and enrichment in the roles of parents of children with disabilities, while keeping the child’s functional status in mind. We analysed data from 168 respondents, including 99 mothers and 69 fathers of children with disabilities. Beliefs, sense of burden with household and family responsibilities, and the child’s functional status had an influence on family-work conflict. The parent’s gender, beliefs, the child’s functional status, sense of burden with responsibilities towards the child with a disability, and the scope of involvement in household and family responsibilities were important for enrichment.

Objective: To determine socioeconomic relationships in backyard pig farms. Design/methodology/approximation: The farms studied had 1 to 8 sows. We used semi-structured questionnaires and periodic monitoring to collect data. We determined the cost of production with the general cost formula and calculated the countable effect of family labor. Two groups were established: Group 1) Young married couples; and Group 2) Elderly couples who have been married for a long time and who do not have married children. Social Network Analysis was used to determine the strength of those relationships. Results: Five socio-productive relations were discovered: 1) input supplier-producer; 2) piglet breeder-swineherd-butcher; 3) religious festivities-pigs; 4) season of the year-pig; and 5) producer-boar keeper. Income differed when family work was not counted. Limitations/implications: Results showed that it was possible to combine qualitative data and statistical modelling in studies about social and economic behavior of backyard pig farms and small-scale farms.

Junior high school teachers play an essential role in education. How to relieve the worries of teachers, that is, the pressure they face in the fields of work and family, has increasingly become an urgent problem. Based on the COR theory, this study aims to investigate the effects of two types of work/family conflicts (i.e., work-family conflict and family-work conflict) on teachers’ job and life satisfaction. We adopted a handy sample method and collected a total of 560 junior high school teachers data. The results confirmed that both work-family and family-work conflicts are not significantly related to junior high school teachers’ job satisfaction and life satisfaction directly. However, both work-family and family-work conflicts have significantly negatively influence on junior high school teachers’ job satisfaction and life satisfaction via psychological capital and emotional exhaustion. Our findings provide new suggestions on how to alleviate the conflicts between work and family faced by teachers and further improve their satisfaction about work and family.

This article identifies the routines and working practices of women journalists from Colombia and Venezuela in the framework of the health emergency caused by covid-19 in the countries where they work. It is a quantitative research at a descriptive cross-sectional level in which an instrument made up of 26 questions organized into five categories of analysis was used. Categories include family–work relationship, working life, and health and well-being, and the questionnaire was applied to 110 professionals from Colombia and Venezuela. It was found that the compulsory confinement hastened the insertion of journalists in the use of information and communication technologies, applications, and software for content production. Although they were already working in digital media, they had to develop new skills in this field. For 47% of them, their working hours were extended for more than 3 hours a day, which for 79% represents family tensions, given that 38% have underage children or older adults under their care. However, during the confinement, their participation in the formation of public opinion was also expanded through their personal social networks, incorporating corruption issues and citizen complaints. Regarding their routines, it is concluded that the pandemic transformed access to information sources, newsrooms, and, therefore, the dynamics of news production, so we are faced with a new way of doing journalism that puts reporting and ethics into tension with information and communication technologies.
