The goal of the research was to conduct a comprehensive study of children as receivers of distance learning services in order to organize in the future a student-centered educational process that contributes to the achievement of better results. In 2018, the authors conducted surveys among students at the Economic Internet School of the Vologda Scientific Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences. The characteristics of receivers of such services as demographic characteristics, level of motivation, status of personal development, communication and organizational features, were comprehensively studied. In addition, the effect of these factors on learning success was analyzed. Thus, the “portrait” of the student was compiled with the goal to effectively organize the educational process. Based on the results of the study, we make suggestions concerning the organization of distance learning for children.

The academic landscape has been in a state of flux since the inception of online degrees. In addition to fully online colleges and universities, traditional accredited institutions are adding fully online programs. However, one area that could be supported with further research is the pedagogy of online teaching for graduate students. Teaching online has a whole host of challenges, and so does teaching graduate students; to best serve students, educators must maintain the connectedness and community required by distance learning while simultaneously meeting the intellectual rigor necessary for a graduate course. This chapter will identify three potential ways to foster better communication through philosophically grounded pedagogies between graduate students and instructors including student-centered methods of communication, marketplace application, and group collaborations.

The urgency of the problem of distance education development is caused by the fact that in modern conditions the requirements for specialists are radically changing. At the same time, the central place is not the use of previously acquired knowledge, but the generation and implementation of new ideas, which dictates new requirements for training. In this regard, lifelong learning becomes increasingly necessary, acquires new forms and meanings. Today, advances in information technology and telecommunications allow the development of distance learning as a kind of continuing education that accompanies the information society, because it forms a comprehensively developed personality, able to navigate in the information environment. The pandemic forced universities to switch to e-Learning in a force majeure mode, which served as a powerful impetus for the accelerated arming of universities with resources that allow them to effectively practice online and blended learning. In these conditions, it became possible to implement a student-centered educational paradigm. However, this is hindered by the problem of the student's lack of self-organization and self-motivation skills, the ability to take responsibility for their own learning and development. This problem is gaining more and more theoretical and practical importance. The purpose of the work is to substantiate that courses such as self-management and time management contribute to the formation of competencies in the field of goal-setting, planning, self-organization, self-control and self-motivation, and, therefore, in the context of the implementation of student-centered pagadigma, they should serve as preliminary study for e-Learning. For this, the article provides a review of the "Time Management" content course in relation to the task of developing proactivity and the student’s ability to systematically and productively independent work.

This research uses the library research method, where this research in collecting information and data uses a variety of materials and materials in the library, namely in the form of books, journals, documents, magazines, historical stories, news, and other relevant sources. Distance learning requires adequate facilities and infrastructure, such as laptops, computers, smartphones and internet networks. This becomes one of the challenges of distance learning.
