<p>ABSTRAK </p><p>abstThe decline of harvested area and production of soybean in Grobogan District in period 2009 – 2013 were 10.48% and 5.12% per year, respectivelly. It was alleged related to the uncompetitive price of soybean at the farm level. This research aimed 1) to reveal the use and price of production input at the farm level and 2) to analyze the inputs price to the profit of soybean farming system. The research was conducted in Pulokulon District (Tuko and Sembungharjo Villages) and Gabus District (Gabus and Tlogo Tirto Villages) with survey method to 40 respondents from March to August 2014. The collected data were input and output of farming system, i.e land area, price of fertilizers, price of pesticides, wage of labor and price of soybean.  The data was analyzed using profit function. The result showing the production inputs that significantly affected the profit were the prices of fertilizers (Urea and Phonska), other costs and plantation areas; therefore, to develop soybean plants and increase the farming profits, it requires price guarantee of fertilizers and soybean and the introduction of soybean farming system technologies.</p><p> </p><p>ABSTRAK<br />Penurunan luas panen dan produksi kedelai di Kabupaten Grobogan pada rentang waktu 2009 –2013 adalah 10,48% per tahun dan 5,12% per tahun. A way to restore the fertility of rice fields is through improving soil structure and microbes by using organic fertilizer derived from livestock waste. Therefore it is necessary to implement an Integrated Farming System (IFS) particularly rice and cattle. The study aimed to analyze the determinants of farmers’ decisions in adopting IFS of rice in Bengkulu Province, Indonesia. This research applied a survey method, which was conducted in Seluma and Rejang Lebong Regencies, Bengkulu Province, Indonesia. The data included primary and secondary and analyzed with the use of Multinomial Logistic Regression. The results indicated that simultaneously all the predictor variables had a significant effect on the response variable, while the income, land area, number of cattle and farmers’ perceptions had a very significant effect on the adoption of the integration system while the variable costs of production, farming experience and labor did not have a significant effect on the decision to adopt a rice and cattle integration system.

In the rapid process of urbanization in China, arable land resources are faced with dual challenges in terms of quantity and quality. Starting with the change in the coupling coordination relationship between the input and output on arable land, this study applies an evaluation model of the degree of coupling coordination between the input and output (D_CCIO) on arable land and deeply analyzes the recessive transition mechanism and internal differences in arable land use modes in 31 provinces on mainland China. The results show that the total amount and the amount per unit area of the input and output on arable land in China have presented different spatio-temporal trends, along with the mismatched movement of the spatial barycenter. Although the D_CCIO on arable land increases slowly as a whole, 31 provinces show different recessive transition mechanisms of arable land use, which is hidden in the internal changes in the input–output structure. The results of this study highlight the different recessive transition patterns of arable land use in different provinces of China, which points to the outlook for higher technical input, optimized planting structure, and the coordination of human-land relationships.

Annually 500 M t organic wastes are produced in India from the agriculture sector. Transportation of bulky organic manures for centralized collection, processing and distribution to farms is cost prohibitive. Hence, recycling of agricultural wastes using vermicompost technology at the farm level is a practical way of managing agriwaste for meeting the plant nutrient requirement. Our experience with a 1.584 ha farm for three years (2015–2016 to 2017–2018) revealed that 8.1 t vermicompost was produced in three batches from 24 t agriwastes produced within the farm area. The system productivity by recycling these farm generated agriwastes and run-off water was 18.05 t (≈11.4 t ha−1) rice equivalent yield which was higher by 2.6 times as compared to rice fallow (4.46 t ha−1). Also, the net return from this system (Indian rupees 70141 ha−1) was higher by 2.3 times, after considering the fixed cost towards construction of a water recycling pond. An increase in carbon stock in soil for the four years study period was 0.66 Mg ha−1 year−1 with the agriwaste recycling system under organic nutrition. For the inorganic fertilizer plot, the increase in carbon stock was 0.53 Mg ha−1 year−1. A decrease in bulk density from 1.56 to 1.46 Mg m−3, increase in water holding capacity from 0.43 to 0.52 cm3 cm−3 and increase in available P and K content in soil from 38.0 and 174.7 kg ha−1 to 45.8 and 186.5 kg ha−1, respectively, were noted. Thus, recycling of agricultural waste at the farm level is useful in improving soil health and crop productivity.

Lately, quite a lot of effort has been put into the development of voice input and output systems for human-machine communication. In this paper, we point out that while voice I/O is ideal for many applications, there are others for which it is ill-suited and there is a danger that fascination with the technology may well result in its misuse.

This research was aimed to define the corn farmer's behaviour  in Seluma Regency of Bengkulu  Province on inputs and outputs allocation, and determine  of production factors influencing  corn production.  The research was located in three villages in Seluma Regency, namely Riak Siabun, Sido Luhur,  and Sumber Arum. Sixty two farmers were selected using stratified random sampling  method. In this research, the analitical description was used to analyse farmer  behaviour. In order to determine the input and output allocation of the corn productions,  this research used the function of production  Cobb-Douglas  approach. The result showed found that the behaviour of the farmers to choose corn was due to the corn was easy to sell and cultivate. However, the farmers  found  that it  is  hard to access some production factors,  such as seed, fertilizer,  and pesticide. Their prices were also high, and these were contradicted  to the product's  price which was low. Tis research also found that land area is the main factor that has a significant  impacts on production  while other factors were not.Key words: corn, determined factors, production.
