The aim of the research. To compare the ovicidal efficiency of insectoacaricides of different composition and manufacturers on flea eggs (Ctenocephalides spp.) for treatemnt of the premises where animals live. Materials and methods of the research. The study was conducted on the basis of the clinic of veterinary medicine "Vetservice" Sumy, laboratory "Veterinary Pharmacy" and "Innovative technologies and safety and quality of livestock products" of Sumy National Agrarian University. The ovicidal effect of insectoacaricides on flea eggs of Ctenocephalides spp. was studied. Ctenocephalides spp. eggs were selected from the pet bedding on which the animal spended most of its time, namely the cats. The studied material was selected with a cosmetic brush. Ctenocephalides spp. eggs were placed into a Petri dish of 10 eggs per each dish. The test material was introduced with a dental probe. There were 4 test dishes, which were treated with insectoacaricides (each test dish was treated with a separate drug) and 1 control dish with no treatment. Microscopy was conducted under a light microscope with magnification X8 of each egg, with following treatment of each egg with insectoacaricides. Monitoring was conducted in 24, 48 and 72 hours after treatment. Results. Research has shown that drugs which demonstrated 100 % ovicidal effectiveness were Sentry Home (pyriproxyfen – 0.02 %, permethrin – 0.2 %, n-Octyl Bicyclohepten – 1.0 %) in 24 hours and Neostomazan (CEVA)(transmix – 5.0 g, tetramethrin – 0.5 g) in 72 hours. Conclusions. Insectoacaricide drug Sentry Home (pyriproxyfen – 0.02 %, permethrin – 0.2 %, n-Octyl Bicyclohepten – 1.0 %), used for the treatment of the premises where the animals live, showed the most pronounced ovicidal effect in 24 hours.

During the study, dogs were diagnosed with the following helminthic diseases: toxocariasis, echinococcosis, uncinariosis, trichuriasis, capillariosis, dipilidiosis, which took the form of mono and mixed invasions. The aim of this study was to identify the intensity of helminth infestation of dogs of different ages and methods of keeping. Materials and methods. Experimental studies were conducted during 2018–2020 on the basis of the laboratory “Innovative technologies and safety and quality of livestock products” and “Veterinary Pharmacy” of the Department of Veterinary Examination, Microbiology, Zoohygiene and Safety and Quality of Livestock Products; epizootology and parasitology of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of Sumy National Agrarian University. In cities and villages, faecal samples were taken from dogs, taking into account the method of keeping (tethered or untethered) and their use (office, hunting, decorative, etc.), which were placed in airtight containers, labeled samples and sent to the laboratory for the research. The object of clinical and laboratory research were dogs aged one to seven years, admitted to veterinary clinics in the period from 2018 to 2020, with suspected helminthic diseases. Testing of dogs was performed by collecting medical history and clinical examination. Results. According to the results of the research, it was established that among helminthic diseases during 2018–2020 the following diseases were registered: toxocariasis, cestodes, uncinariosis of dogs. Among the blood-parasitic diseases for the period 2018–2020 were diagnosed with heartworm disease, babesiosis of dogs. Among ectoparathyroidism, the laboratory diagnosed demodectic mange, otodectosis, canine sarcoptosis, and carnivorous syphonepterosis. A total of 513 surveys were conducted in 2018, of which 80 were positive; for 2019–509, of which positive – 58; for 2020 – 488, of which 62 are positive. Conclusions. Intestinal helminthiasis has been found to account for the lowest proportion (11 %) of carnivorous parasitic diseases compared to blood parasitic diseases (19 %) and ectoparasitosis (70 %), but they are of great interest for study because of their significant epidemiological significance and may be the cause of disease in humans. It has been proven that helminthic diseases of dogs run as mixed invasion, and a minority of cases 31.7 % of cases run as mono invasion. Of the total number of patients with helminthic diseases, 73.4 % of the total number of animals were accompanied by other diseases of infectious and non-infectious ethology

The characteristics of dairy products depend on both the processing technology and the chemical and microbiological characteristics of milk. The milk properties depend themselves on a number of production factors linked to animals (genetic and physiology) or feeding. Some of these factors, the way animal are fed in particular, are increasingly becoming the focus of consumers’ concern. In particular, grass-based diets are sensitive because grass carries a positive image that can be attractive to some, because it may confer special nutritional characteristics to the products and also because grass feeding is part of the basic link between products and their original land which is important in the case of labelled products (Protected Denomination of Origin [PDO]). The aim of this text is to take stock of the recent studies (Coulon et al., 2004), which have studied the effect of grass on the sensory qualities of cheeses and butter. Other dimensions of quality. i.e., health and nutrition, are not investigated.

Before dealing with the marketing of livestock I will mention briefly the current arrangements for the disposal of our two main livestock products—milk and eggs. Milk is marketed through a Producers’ Marketing Board which operates on very much the same lines as the Milk Marketing Boards in Great Britain. In the marketing of eggs we have a unique system for the control of egg quality. The eggs are collected in the normal way by packers, or collectors acting on their behalf, and are graded on a quality basis in the packer’s store. The producer is paid on the result of this grading, deductions being made for second quality eggs, cracked eggs, soiled eggs, etc. The grading and packing are supervised by officers of the Ministry of Agriculture who also carry out further checks on the standard of packing and quality of eggs being shipped to Great Britain. These further checks are carried out at the ports of shipment, random samples of eggs being subjected to further quality tests.

Using the early maturing peach variety 'Japan Matsusen' as the test material, nine groups of formula fertilization schemes were set up by orthogonal experiment to study the effects of different fertilization treatments on the quality of peach fruit, in order to obtain the best fertilization formula to improve fruit quality. The results showed that the quality of peach fruit was significantly improved by adding organic fertilizer to the base fertilizer instead of chemical fertilizer. Therefore, by adding organic fertilizer as the base fertilizer, reducing the application amount of chemical fertilizer, and adding other trace element fertilizers can effectively improve the quality of peach fruit.

In this literature review details the diversity of methods for determining the chewing efficiency, currently existing in the dental practice. Chewing is one of the main functions of the dental system, determine its condition. Chewing efficiency largely depends on the state of the entire dentition. Therefore, the quality of orthopedic treatment at different stages of permissible assessed using various methods for determining the efficiency of chewing. The article discusses in detail current methods of assessing the function of chewing phases of orthopedic treatment. A brief description of the nature of each method definition chewing efficiency, according to the classification is presented in the literature. A comparative characteristic of the positive and negative aspects of the known methods is carried out. The authors assess their labor intensity, sensitivity, availability and distribution, diversity and quality of the used test material. A special place is the consideration of modern methods, based on an assessment of the effectiveness of chewing area of occlusal contact with the various techniques of computerized data analysis. The authors do attempt to explore the possibilities of various systems of computerized analysis of occlusion for the assessment of chewing efficiency, taking into account the accuracy of individual features and occlusal relationship. They emphasize efficiency, high precision of the studied method and the need for further development of this direction in the dental practice.
