Events such as the financial crisis in 2008/09 and the Volkswagen scandal about diesel engines in 2015 show that the existence of a risk management system does not sufficiently protect companies from risks. An inadequate corporate risk culture is often used to explain the causes of such crises. The aim of this study is to create access to a more targeted approach to risk culture. This is achieved through a methodical combination of conceptual developments and semi-structured interviews with companies from different industries and ownership structures. To start with, the author develops a definition of risk culture, identifies its constituent elements and derives a risk culture framework from these elements. In doing so, she identifies both ways of assessing risk culture and risk culture control mechanisms. Among other things, her findings point to the central role of top and middle management in this regard and reveal a variety of risk culture control mechanisms.

The purpose of this study was to determine the sustainability strategies for the economic livelihoods of indigenous people in Masadian Village, Menui District, Morowali Regency and strategies for increasing the economy of the puppet community in Desa Santas, Menadian District, Menow Islands, Morowali Regency. The results of the study showed that solving the problem of economic sustainability in the Desa Desa community uses an active strategy in which all communities express their daily needs by doing side jobs with various forms of work such as working as construction workers, ship / boatbuilders, fish buyers. The side jobs that are most chosen by fishermen are construction workers and shipbuilders and poverty reduction models with a participatory approach or the role of the wife / children to help the husband work

The concept of sustainable development increasingly affects cities and the challenges they face. At the present stage of sustainability awareness it is desired that the discussion about the city development combines the financial aspects and harmonious social relationships with the natural environment. The role of local authorities in implementation processes is undeniable. The objective of the paper is to verify theoretical assumptions regarding sustainable development governance in cities. A special attention is paid to transport and logistics solutions as supported measures but also as barriers of implementation. The detailed questionnaire in the form of the survey was chosen to examine how local governments practice the concept of the green urban economy to strengthen the sustainable development in different cities. Results prove that Scandinavian cities, in comparison to other European and some North American cities, are indisputable leaders in the development and implementation of sustainability strategies. They extensively involve stakeholders and facilitate open dialogue approach, create public-private partnerships and stimulate more sustainable behaviour through variety of financial incentives.

The system of local sustainability strategies is shaped by the intentions of the central government and local initiatives together. From the aspect of the hierarchy of government organization in Hungary it means that there are institutions on the central government’s side – different ministries or other governmental institutions – the role of which is mainly coordination; and local governments (regional and local as well) also form their institutions at the municipality. It is important to examine the institutional background, as in Hungary the formation of sustainability policy is still in its infancy, so it is well worth taking the institutional background of countries the circumstances of which are similar to ours and have successful sustainability policies as a basis. In this presentation I will examine whether the top-down or the bottom-up approach is chosen, which institution is in charge of the process, what the legal background is like, and what sources are available for use in these countries.
