This research focuses on the design, construction, and validation of a questionnaire that seeks to analyse the perception of the landscape amongst undergraduates studying for a Degree in Primary School Teaching at Salamanca University. The process has involved using both qualitative and quantitative techniques to test the content’s validity and the construct’s reliability and suitability through the participation of a panel of expert judges and a sample of 432 subjects. This has been followed by the introduction of an exploratory factor analysis (EFA) of the data provided by the cohort that has led to a study of the questionnaire’s core characteristics, a reduction in its size, and the validation of its pertinence.

The quest for educational leaders to enact social and equitable schooling requires ongoing critical transformations that cannot be alienated from contemporary educational discourses and practices. Enacting social justice and equitable schooling poses an unparalleled challenge on the shoulders of risk-taking visionaries, who meticulously attempt to transmit their believes and values into the daily routine tasks at school, rather than plotting futuristic management scenarios. The study seeks to explore the multifaceted role of primary school leaders in the daily struggle to diffuse the principles of Multicultural Education for more just and equitable schooling. For this purpose, qualitative data measures were employed to determine the extent of which participants in the study mirrored the review of literature and research questions. The Critical Incident Technique was particularly useful as it allowed the collection for a large number of incidents occurring over a number of years, from a small number of people in a relatively short time. Analyses proceeded by identifying culturally responsive leadership practices and the application of critical race theory. Results identified seven core characteristics, present in school leaders who professed strong adherence to the principles of Multicultural Education. This suggests the need for emerging models of educational leadership to effectively respond to the increased diversity in our schools and to further establish the connections between multicultural educational leadership and equity schooling.

The objective of this study is to investigate the effect of antecedent variables on salesforce Job satisfaction mediated by salesforce performance. Data were gathered using a structured questionnaire from top three chain retail stores engaged in retailing business operating in Ethiopia. Although a total of 450 questionnaires were distributed to sales persons of these companies, 380 questionnaires were returned and used at the end of the data collection process, which gave the response rate of 84 per cent. The ability, effort, self-efficacy, and job core characteristics have a significant Pearson correlation of 0.493, 0.105, 0.288, and 0.391 respectively at 0.01 confidence interval with sales performance. On the other hand, five constructs of the study ability, effort, self-efficacy, fixed compensation, and job core characteristics influenced sales performance significantly at 95% confidence interval with a sig. level of 0.000, 0.004, 0.002, 0.000, and 0.000 respectively. The result of the study indicated that six variables which are ability, effort, self-efficacy, fixed compensation, job core characteristics, and sales performance influenced job satisfaction significantly at 95% confidence interval with a sig. level of 0.000 for all variables.

Abstract Based on broad observations of the development of Confucius Institutes and Classrooms in Africa over a decade, this article focuses on educational partnerships between Chinese and African educational institutions and their implications for international development, as they relate to international development in the era of post-Covid-19. The author identifies the Confucian Zhong-Yong approach to educational partnerships through Confucius Institutes and Classrooms in Africa, a pragmatic model for educational development centered on Confucianism. Three core characteristics of Confucian educational partnerships – demand-driven, ethics-based and pragmatic – are seen as the key to the success of such partnerships. Reflecting on Ubuntu from a Confucian perspective, the author concludes that China’s humanistic Zhong-Yong approach to partnerships has a unique potential to re-envision education for international development in ways that may be of interest to such international developmental agencies as the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank, the World Bank, and the United Nations.

Abstract The properties of nuclear fuel depend on the actual isotopic composition which develops during a reactor operation. In practice, the prediction accuracy of burnup calculations serves as the basis for the future precise estimation of a core lifetime and other safety-based core characteristics. The present study quantifies nuclear data induced uncertainties of nuclide concentrations and multiplication factors in VVER-440 fuel depletion analysis. The well-known SCALE system and the TRITON sequence are used with the NEWT deterministic solver in the SAMPLER module that implements stochastic techniques to assess the uncertainty in computed results. The propagation of uncertainties in neutron cross section and fission yields is studied through the depletion calculation of 2D heterogeneous VVER-440 fuel assembly with an average enrichment of 4.87 wt % of 235U and six gadolinium rods with 3.35 % of Gd2O3. In the paper, fixed nominal depletion conditions are based on the real operational data of the Slovak NPP Bohunice unit 4 during cycle 30. In total 250 cases with uncertain parameters are computed and the results are evaluated by an auxiliary tool.
