Teaching quality evaluation (TQE) can not only improve teachers’ teaching skills, but also provide an important reference for school teaching management departments to formulate teaching reform measures and strengthen teaching management. TQE is a process of grading and ranking a given teachers based on the comprehensive consideration of multiple evaluation criteria by expert. The Maclaurin symmetric mean (MSM), as a powerful aggregation function, can capture the correlation among multiple input data more efficient. Although multitude weighted MSM operators have been developed to handle the Pythagorean fuzzy decision issues, these above operators do not possess the idempotency and reducibility during the procedure of information fusion. To conquer these defects, we present the Pythagorean fuzzy reducible weighted MSM (PFRWMSM) operator and Pythagorean fuzzy reducible weighted geometric MSM (PFRWGMSM) operator to fuse Pythagorean fuzzy assessment information. Meanwhile, several worthwhile properties and especial cases of the developed operators are explored at length. Afterwards, we develop a novel Pythagorean fuzzy entropy based upon knowledge measure to ascertain the weights of attribute. Furthermore, an extended weighted aggregated sum product assessment (WASPAS) method is developed by combining the PFRWMSM operator, PFRWGMSM operator and entropy to settle the decision problems of unknown weight information. The efficiency of the proffered method is demonstrated by a teaching quality evaluation issue, as well as the discussion of sensitivity analysis for decision outcomes. Consequently, a comparative study of the presented method with the extant Pythagorean fuzzy approaches is conducted to display the superiority of the propounded approach.

Background: Children are precious resources of a nation and if they are physically and psychologically healthy, then they can excel in all domains of life. Learning disabilities mainly affects the psychological domain of child as it interferes with basic skills such as organization, time planning, abstract reasoning, memory and attention. This disorder is unable to cure at primary stages as it is mostly neglected due to lack of knowledge regarding learning disabilities. Methods: A descriptive cross sectional study was used to assess the knowledge regarding learning disabilities in children among primary school teachers in selected schools of Jodhpur, Rajasthan, India in April 2017. A total sample size of 70 primary school teachers from Class 1st to 5th of four selected schools of Jodhpur, Rajasthan, India were taken using total enumeration sampling technique. The tool for data collection was self structured questionnaire. Results: The results of the study showed that the majority of primary school teachers (70% had average knowledge regarding learning disabilities, 27.14% had poor knowledge whereas only 2.86% had good knowledge and there is no significant association between the knowledge of primary school teachers and their socio-demographic variables like age, gender, marital status, religion, educational qualification, type of school, teaching experience, in-service education on learning disabilities, any family member/friend suffering with learning disabilities. Conclusions: The study concluded that primary school teachers had limited knowledge regarding learning disabilities in children. Therefore, there should be provision of awareness programmes among them along with parents of children.

This review article is devoted to the theory of polycode texts that are represented as a combination of verbal and non-verbal components. This unity is supported by the meaning, structure and function, under which we mean the focus on solving a single communicative task. A polycode text includes signs of various semiotic systems, for example, colour and kinesics. A number of synonymous terminological descriptions of this phenomenon - creolized text, polycode text, polysemiotic text, semiotically enriched test - indicates that we are currently witnessing the formation of the theory of polycode texts. Theoretical and terminological understanding of the object of our description occurs in such directions as the analysis of the components of polycode text and their correlation, description of methods and prospects for the study of polycode texts. The pragmatics of a polycode text, with a brief overview of the most notable works of Russian linguists, is considered in such main areas of its implementation as humorous polycode text and polycode text in cinematography. The most studied phenomenon in this direction is the description of the polycode text of advertising of various types. New directions of analysis are the description of the functioning of the polycode text in political linguistics and Internet communication. It is important to note the increase in the number of works that investigate the use of polycode text in school teaching and in teaching foreign languages. A new area of study of polycode text is its description as a reflection of the national linguistic picture of the world. This review is based on academic works, which are fundamental in this area of research, and also includes articles published in scientific journals in Russia over the past five years.

Change and transition processes are complex. As a result, the implementers tend to be reluctant in executing them. Education in Kenya has evolved with time in an effort to meet the needs of the changing times to attain quality standards. However, policy changes in the education sector have been both a success as well as have experienced failures in their implementation. Kenyas education system is currently transitioning from 8-4-4 to the Competency Based Curriculum (CBC) which is in its implementation stage following a one-year pilot. This study sought to investigate the Stakeholders preparedness of school teaching and learning resources to facilitate transition from 8-4-4 to Competency Based Curriculum in Bungoma, Kenya. The study was anchored on Kotters eight step model theory that defines the manner of handling change in an organization and used descriptive research design due to its appropriateness in identifying characteristics, frequencies, trends, correlations and categories of the variables under study. The population under study was divided into separate clusters from which a probability sample was drawn. The target population of 3,159 was used and samples were drawn from the target population with the use of systematic random sampling and purposive sampling techniques. Further, data was collected by use of questionnaires, interview guides and document analysis guide. The study revealed that the pace of transition from 8-4-4 to CBC was slow with (287) 90% out of the 319 school heads who held the view that the pace of transition to CBC is slow while 113(64.6%) out of the 175 teacher respondents held a similar view. The study found that the lack of adequate resource variables accounted for the slow pace of transition compared to attitude and condition variables. Further the study revealed a statistically significant positive relationship between availability of school resources and transition from 8-4-4 to CBC. Indeed, the availability of physical resources is critical in facilitating the transition from 8-4-4to CBC. Further, the study recommended that focus should be laid on providing interventions for the lacking resource variables and incorporation of self-learning training strategies for the instructors as well as students in order to overcome the challenge occasioned by the inappropriate pupil-teacher ratio. The study concluded that the discrepancy with regards to the lack of adequate resources had more to do with lack of proper change management with regards to transition and therefore the National government, County government, educational planners, principals and School Boards of Management ought to intervene by incorporating change management strategies to spur the CBC change management process, failure to which the CBC may fail to take root like other preceding policies in the education sector.

Variance and standard deviation, as a kind of discrete function, are an important content in high school teaching, and they are widely used in data statistics. For high school students, they have difficulty understanding abstract concepts such as stability, volatility, and degree of dispersion when they are first exposed to discrete functions. In actual teaching, you can apply “bullseye chart” to “variance” teaching, and use abstract concept diagrams. Demonstration helps high school students to intuitively understand the concept of “variance” and the nature of dispersion.
