In the provision of public services, the standard of immigration services is an essential element as well as a form of effort to protect the sovereignty of the Indonesian State. Public facilities at control points for maritime immigration (TPI) tend to be involved and erratic. Data collection and monitoring of foreign ships and members of the crew is also conventionally carried out. The existence of Inapornet (Indonesia Port Integration System) which was initiated by the Ministry of Transportation has been implemented to help improve the performance of port authorities in the field of public services because as the basis of a system, it helps change conventional traditions to become modern with the help of information communication technology. The Inaportnet system itself is able to speed up the port clearance process. However, until now the Inaportnet system has not been applied by the Directorate General of Immigration. Then the research was carried out using a qualitative research methodology with a qualitative - descriptive method to analyze the implementation of the Inapornet system as a whole. All data obtained were obtained from the Immigration Office class I TPI Tanjung Priok. The results showed that the use of the Inaportnet system can be the fastest and easiest solution at this time to overcome the lack of support for technology and information systems that were created specifically to address and fulfill services in the field of immigration inspection at marine TPI. The application of this system supports the movement of the central government in implementing a one gate away system at ports.

E-administration is a relatively new concept related to the broader technological progress and development of modern technologies, as well as a key condition for the development of an effective information society. E-administration means that the state provides as much of its own public services as possible via the Internet in order to facilitate numerous entities, including its own citizens, enterprises, the academia, etc., as well as to guarantee access to various public services and make the access more affordable. Thanks to such measures, citizens’ satisfaction with the administration increases, and the competitiveness of countries and enterprises increases as well.

The DISCUSsion on Information Society Building Issues Platform (established within a project supported by the International Visegrad Fund in 2015) represents an excellent opportunity for relevant stakeholders from Moldova to approach the information society aspects, from the European model perspective and experience of V4 countries in the field. The platform allowed the communication among different actors involved in the information society development process and facilitated an effective experience exchange between Visegrad countries and Moldova. DISCUS is focused especially on local public authorities from Moldova that lag behind compared to the central level, in terms of electronic public services. Ranges of events were organized in Chisinau in order to bring together both local and central levels, plus other relevant sectors and with participation of V4 experts. Important aspects and good practices of e-government (at local level) were presented by V4 experts, development partners, government, central authorities and academia representatives. The Research Studies that followed each project event emphasize the achieved results, including relevant conclusions and recommendations, as well as research on issues that emerged during the discussions. The article briefly presents the project impact with an accent on situational analysis, lessons learnt, good practices applicable for Moldova and the next steps.

The information society must be considered, above all, a society composed by people. For that reason, a social priority for the information society development should be centered in the acquisition of knowledge. To be included in the digital literacy means to have the technological capabilities that allow a person surviving in the information society. We try to offer real examples for the development of digital literacy in a variety of areas of application: education, social inclusion and firms. For that reason we describe and analyze the contribution of digital literacy to the following Spanish projects: Educared, which promotes the spread of Internet for innovation and pedagogical training amongst teachers, parents and students in primary and secondary schools; the Dana Project, which identifies good practices to reduce the digital gap based in gender; and Competic, a program offers good practices for the promotion of information and communication technologies in small and medium size firms.
