In the light of today’s urban cities, waste disposal has become a major concern. Improper waste management results in unclean, foul and unhygienic conditions which give birth to numerous diseases in the region. It leads to spread variety of pathogens and leads to poor logistical and human resource management. The main reason is that in the busy working life schedule, people don’t have enough time to dump their waste. Our idea is to build a web based application for proper waste management. Waste will be collected from the user's doorstep as per his/her request to avoid bad treatment/disposal of waste. There will be a real time monitoring of the dumper in order to provide accuracy, live status and no malpractices. The scheduling of stoppage and collection of waste is regulated by the admin and directly transferred to the dumper driver through the web application. The admin ensures route optimization to save time. There will be a personal software at the admin side so that there will be no interference of any other untrusted party. This is a real time initiative to promote the safe waste disposal in the busy life schedule.

In the present era, the internet and new technologies are changing the information behavior of news reader .Instead of reading a copy of the local newspaper or watching the scheduledevening news, people increasingly turn to the internet for daily news updates. A Multi-Lingual news feed application is aimed at developing a web based application named multilingual news feed app. This Application deals with the user who wants to read news from the web application. User can select different countries in which a user is interested, the latest news will be fetched from the selected country. The news will be fetched and displayed based on the country selected in its own national language & the news is categorized into 7 different categories. A user can select any category which they are looking for. When you are done selecting the country & category, then the page will automatically refresh and the news will be displayed on MultiLingual news feed application. This application also supports translation and the news can be translated into any language. This application is fully responsive and has a good-looking user interface. The users will find this application much interesting for reading the news articles.

This chapter presents the architecture of Web-based intelligent English instruction system CSIEC (Computer Simulation in Educational Communication) and illustrates its important components with examples: dialogue simulation functions including multiple roles talk show and user participating roles play, vocabulary exercises including crossword, single choice questions and cloze questions, listening, reading comprehension, grammar exercises, reading aloud, individual learner portfolios, collaborative learning, the teacher's management function, feedback, and so on. The system's function of instant feedback to every student and statistical analysis upon all students' responses to question answers characterizes this system as a learner response system. The Web-based system can be browsed not only by the user through traditional personal computers but also through fashionable tablet computers. Besides the Web-based system, a standalone vocabulary learning and assessment system for Windows OS is developed. Its functions are also introduced.

In this work it present the development of a prototype for the control of spaces in a parking lot, which through a web page monitors and displays in real time the available places, for this project it is used: an Arduino Uno card, proximity sensors Lm393, male / female, male / male cables, ESP8266 WIFI module and two LEDs; all these connected to each other by a communication link developed with Arduino code, allowing to transmit and send data in the Arduino serial. An Arduino serial communication link is made with java language code, acting as an intermediary for the insertion of information in the database. The web application was developed with the programming language PHP and HTML and was connected to the database hosted on the MySQL server, using as a Sublime Text code editor. Thus achieving on the web page the monitoring in real time of the available parking places. The results shown by the prototype indicate that it is probably feasible to implement this technology to make the parking lots smart.

Investing in the development of methodologies for timely intervention in breastfeeding practices that provide improved indicators and prolong breastfeeding duration positively impacts the health of women and children. Aim: To develop children cohort data capture interface of a national reference institution for high foetal, neonatal and child risk from birth, covering all hospitalisation up to the second year of life for real-time monitoring of breastfeeding indicators and prevalence. Methods: Four primary criteria were considered: data security (specific permissions for different profiles and encryption of sensitive data), researcher time streamlining, data quality and construction of data export auxiliary tools. Results: A web-based tool for data collection using a mobile device or computer was developed. The tool successfully allowed the ongoing collection for a defined population cohort of measures related to breastfeeding: maternal factors, child-related factors, health service issues, nipple use, introduction of fluids and other processed foods, as well as breastfeeding practice. Conclusion: The developed product enables the validated extraction and collation of data from existing electronic records and other sources for the monitoring of breastfeeding practices. Such data can be used to refine guidelines and individual behaviour to maximise the benefits of breastfeeding and  avoid early weaning.

Web-based applications has turn out to be very prevalent due to the ubiquity of web browsers to deliver service oriented application on-demand to diverse client over the Internet and cross site scripting (XSS) attack is a foremost security risk that has continuously ravage the web applications over the years. This paper critically examines the concept of XSS and some recent approaches for detecting and preventing XSS attacks in terms of architectural framework, algorithm used, solution location, and so on. The techniques were analysed and results showed that most of the available recognition and avoidance solutions to XSS attacks are more on the client end than the server end because of the peculiar nature of web application vulnerability and they also lack support for self-learning ability in order to detect new XSS attacks. Few researchers as cited in this paper inculcated the self-learning ability to detect and prevent XSS attacks in their design architecture using artificial neural networks and soft computing approach; a lot of improvement is still needed to effectively and efficiently handle the web application security menace as recommended.

In a previous report, we explored the serverless OpenHealth approach to the Web as a Global Compute space. That approach relies on the modern browser full stack, and, in particular, its configuration for application assembly by code injection. The opportunity, and need, to expand this approach has since increased markedly, reflecting a wider adoption of Open Data policies by Public Health Agencies. Here, we describe how the serverless scaling challenge can be achieved by the isomorphic mapping between the remote data layer API and a local (client-side, in-browser) operator. This solution is validated with an accompanying interactive web application (bit.ly/loadsparcs) capable of real-time traversal of New York’s 20 million patient records of the Statewide Planning and Research Cooperative System (SPARCS), and is compared with alternative approaches. The results obtained strengthen the argument that the FAIR reproducibility needed for Population Science applications in the age of P4 Medicine is particularly well served by the Web platform.

Abstract—Efficient and quick procedure to build a web application is presented. The steps are intended to build a database application system with hundreds of tables. The procedure can minimize tasks needed to write code and doing manual programming line by line. The intention also to build rapidly web-based database application. In this method security concerning authentification and authorization already built in ensuring the right and eligible access of the user to the system. The end result is ready to use the web-based 3-tier application. Moreover, the application is still flexible to be customized and to be enhanced to suit more specific requirement in part of each module of the software both the server-side and client-side programming codes.

For time deterministic control, manufacturers and system designers of computer controlled machinery use real-time based systems to satisfy stringent requirements. Standard real-time systems contain built in kernel modules and often some type of user interface written in C. With a large multidimensional system spanning many smaller objective systems, it is hard for specialists to access real-time controlled objects on the spot. Making modifications to the user interface may require a slew of compilation and linking. This article presents an Interpretive Real-Time Linux Interface, which seamlessly integrates C/C++ applications using a C/C++ interpreter. Running the application interpretively makes the interface insensitive to user customization and product upgrading. An example of an insensitive interface is given in which a CGI web based user interface written in C has been implemented allowing users to control the frequency output of a speaker through a real-time Linux system from the web.
