Abstract The possibility to obtain a desired color of the product and to ensure its repeatability in the production process is highly desired in many industries such as printing, automobile, dyeing, textile, cosmetics or plastics industry. So far, most companies have traditionally used the "manual" method, relying on intuition and experience of a colorist. However, the manual preparation of multiple samples and their correction can be very time consuming and expensive. The computer technology has allowed the development of software to support the process of matching colors. Nowadays, formulation of colors is done with appropriate equipment (colorimeters, spectrophotometers, computers) and dedicated software. Computer-aided formulation is much faster and cheaper than manual formulation, because fewer corrective iterations have to be carried out, to achieve the desired result. Moreover, the colors are analyzed with regard to the metamerism, and the best recipe can be chosen, according to the specific criteria (price, quantity, availability). Optimaization problem of color formulation can be solved in many diferent ways. Authors decided to apply genetic algorithms in this domain.

Computer Aided Process Planning (CAPP) integrated with Computer Aided Design (CAD) and Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAM) will form the basis of engineering/planning systems of the future. These systems will have the capability to operate in a paperless environment and provide highly optimized process operation plans. The WELDEXCELL System is a prototype of such a system for welding in shipyards. The paper discusses three significant computer technology advances which have been in into the WELDEXCELL prototype. First is a computerized system for allowing multiple knowledge sources (expert systems, humans, data systems, etc.) to work together to solve a common problem (the weld plan). This system is called a "blackboard." The second is a methodology for the blackboard to communicate to the human user. This interface includes full interactive graphics fully integrated to CAD as well as data searches and automatic completion of routine engineering tasks. The third is artificial neural networks (ANS's), which are based on biological neural networks (such as the human brain) and which can do neural reasoning tasks about difficult problems. ANS's offer the opportunity to model highly complex multivariable and nonlinear processes (for example, welding) and provide a means for an engineer to quantitatively assess the process and its operation.

The paper discusses the possibility of using computer technology for determining the spatial shape and stereometry of the burnishing tool contact zone with the machined material. The potential for use of the integrated measurement stand for the comprehensive analysis and virtual visualization of variations in the shape of burnished cylindrical surfaces based on stereometry measurement using a profilographometer (New Form Talysurf 2D/3D 120 by Taylor Hobson) and subsequent roundness measurements (Talyrond 365 by Taylor Hobson) has been presented.

Abstract: In the 21st century, the domestic economic level has been improved rapidly. At the same time, it has made great progress in the field of building decoration engineering. The building decoration industry has the characteristics of a knowledge-intensive, highly comprehensive and large-scale investment. With the progress of society, architectural decoration design tools have also been with the progress in the building decoration engineering computer-aided design of a wide range of popular applications, change the original product design and production model, the formation of a new architectural decoration engineering design model, which is the biggest change in the decoration industry. For example, the computer technology used in architectural design work, the use of computer technology to collect the corresponding reference materials and computer-aided design to replace the traditional hand-painted and soon. Computer graphics softwarehas the advantages of reasonable layout, easy modification and convenient storage. Thus,computer-aided software is applied in the field of architectural decoration engineering design, which drives the design of building decoration engineering to a higher level. The application of computer aided software can fully reflect its important role in the design of architectural decoration engineering.

The article discusses the method of measuring the power of modern light sources such as compact fluorescent lamps and lamps based on LED diodes. Receivers supplied with alternating current (sinusoidially variable) draw apparent power from the network. It consists of active and passive power. Modern light sources draw electricity from the grid with a course significantly different from the network voltage. Therefore, it is impossible to accurately measure power in a traditional way. The method of measurement presented in the article uses computer technology which allows for accurate measurement of the receiver's power at any voltage and current course of the receiver.

Abstract For interior design students, in addition to learning the principles of interior design, the most important thing they learn is how to better use computer technology to assist their design. For example, AutoCAD drafting trains students to use computer software to draw their own designs according to industry norms; 3DMAX helps students to display their designs with realistic effects; not to mention PS and VRay rendering, which is a great help for lighting. All these situations show that today’s interior lighting design is inseparable from the assistance of computers. Based on this, this paper explores the effects of computer-aided interior design lighting.
