Aim: Understanding the repercussions of the educational actions of the nursing consultation on the life of chronic kidney patients and their caregivers. Methods: Qualitative research, using the Social Phenomenology reference. Open-ended interviews with 12 patients and their 12 caregivers were conducted in a public hospital outpatient clinic in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, in 2016. Results: The analysis of the participants' testimonies allowed the elaboration of two concrete categories of the experience lived concerning the reasons "why": Sum of learning lived by the sick and those who care also learn. Conclusion: The importance of the perspectives of chronic kidney patients and their caregivers for the design of educational actions stands out in the face-to-face interaction, in the shared approach and the approximation of the nurse

Objetivo: analisar o significado contextual em que ocorre o acidente com equipamento perfurocortante. Método: estudo com abordagem qualitativa, com base na Grounded Theory, aprovado por Comitê de Ética em Pesquisa. Participaram 20 profissionais de enfermagem de um hospital público municipal do Rio de Janeiro, por entrevista semiestruturada, no período de julho de 2013 a abril de 2014, sendo os dados analisados à luz do referido método: codificação aberta, axial e seletiva. Resultados: três categorias revelam o significado contextual: percebendo o contexto de trabalho: uma realidade; interagindo com as equipes no ambiente de trabalho; refletindo sobre a profissão e o cuidado com o profissional de enfermagem. Conclusão:as categorias apontam a complexidade de determinados setores, recursos físicos e materiais inadequados, desorganização no processo de trabalho, falta de suporte no atendimento de acidente com material biológico como principais contextos para essa ocorrência.ABSTRACTObjective: to analyze the contextual meaning in which the accident with sharp equipment occurs. Abstract Objectives To evaluate the adherence to nutritional monitoring and the evolution of the nutritional parameters of patients submitted to bariatric surgery, in consultations with the nutritionist of the multidisciplinary team of a Federal Public Hospital of Rio de Janeiro. Methods Retrospective study was performed in a cohort of patients submitted to gastric bypass surgery at y-roux from 2013 to 2018. The frequency of consultations and the parameters of the evolution of nutritional status (BMI, % loss total protein, albumin, vitamin 25 OH-D and vitamin B12) in the 1st year of the postoperative period, in the 1˚, 3˚, 6˚ and 12˚ months, totaling 4 consultations in this period. Descriptive statistics were calculated. Results A total of 64 patients with a mean age of 43.6 ± 9.72 years were followed, with 92% (n = 59) females and 8% (n = 5) males. The BMI avarange was 47.86 ± 7.13 kg/m2. Patients' attendance at the 1-year postoperative visits was 95.5% in the first month, 86.4% in the third month, 72.7% in the sixth month, and 57.5% in the twelfth month. Each patient presented an average of 2.9 ± 0.4 visits, corresponding to 72.5% of the total proposed for this nutritional monitoring in the multidisciplinary team. When evaluated individually, a frequency of less than 75% of the scheduled appointments was observed. In relation to the nutritional status parameters: BMI and% of weight loss, it was observed in the 1st month (41.5 ± 5.7 kg/m2 and 10.8% ± 9) and 12˚ months (30, 3 ± 5.4 kg/m2 and 0.3% ± 1.4), respectively. The biochemical parameters, the mean serum levels of total proteins, albumin, ferritin and vitamin B12 were: 1˚ (7.13 g/dl ± 0.92, 4 g/dl ± 0.40, 34.9 ng/ml ± 13, 5; 552.6pg/ml ± 268.0) and 12˚ (7.07 g/dl ± 0.73, 4.0 g/dl ± 0.29, 31.3 ng/ml ± 11.4, 309pg/ml ± 169.6). Conclusions Adherence to treatment and monitoring of the patient's nutritional evolution postoperatively is necessary to reduce possible complications, such as nutrient deficiency or body weight regain.
