Scholars report that, researchers and management professionals have steady increased their interest in spiritual issues at work. The concept of spirituality in life workplace has become more and more popular in recent years. This research is carried mainly to understand the relationship between workplace spirituality & organizational commitment. It was also studied the impact of spirituality on the commitment of employees from bank. For this research, four private banks were selected. Total 218 employees were randomly picked for this study. SPSS, version 23 was utilized for evaluating the data. It was found that spirituality strongly influences the organizational commitment, and it directly impacts on it. It was suggested that the management should consider spirituality at workplace seriously in order to enhance the productivity of employees, and they will be more committed towards their work.

An organization is a social system that includes a complex set of human interactions with the surrounding community, as well as their relationships with one another and with the outside world. If the climate or workplace conditions support the organization's internal integration process, it will function smoothly. All of these components interact in the system to make it work well. The purpose of this study is to see how the relationship between workplace spirituality and organizational commitment to employee performance is influenced by job satisfaction as a moderating variable of workplace spirituality's impact on employee performance. Questionnaires and in-depth interviews were used to collect data from 177 employees of Islamic banks in East Java Province. The Smart PLS analysis tool is used to process the collected data. The study's findings show that workplace spirituality has a positive and significant impact on employee performance, organizational commitment has no impact on performance, and employee contentment can be moderated by enhancing the impact of workplace spirituality on employee performance

The paper aims to empirically explore the impact of six dimensions of workplace spirituality on three types of organizational commitment. Six dimensions of workplace spirituality used for the study are Swadharma, Lokasangraha, authenticity, sense of community, Karma capital and Krityagyata. Components of organizational commitment are affective, normative and continuance commitment. A sample of 541 employees working in various organizations was given a structured questionnaire. Correlations, regressions and Necessary Condition Analysis(NCA) were carried out. The paper has enriched the field of workplace spirituality by contributing to existing literature via adding one more construct of Indian spirituality i.e. Krityagyata. Paper concludes that workplace spirituality climate helps in promoting organizational commitment. NCA elicited necessity of various dimensions of workplace spirituality for healthy organizational commitment.

This study investigated the impact of emotional leadership of leaders on organizational commitment of hotel employees, as well as the mediating role of job satisfaction. The results indicate that: (1) Emotional leadership and job satisfaction have positive effects on organizational commitment. (2) Emotional leadership has a positive effect on job satisfaction. (3) Job satisfaction plays a mediating role between emotional leadership and organizational commitment.

This study extends prior studies on the effectiveness of theBalanced Scorecard (BSC) to improve managerial performancedone by Lau and Mosser (2008) and Lau and Sholihin (2005).Specifically, the study empirically tests the moderating effects ofprocedural justice on the relationship between the financial andnonfinancial dimensions of BSC and managerial performance. Italso tests the impact of organizational commitment on performance.Based on survey data from 76 respondents, the results indicate thatperceived procedural justice in the use financial and nonfinancialdimensions of the BSC is associated with managers’ organizationalcommitment. It further finds that organizational commitment ispositively related to performance. The objective of this paper is to evaluate the impact of transformational leadership on individual academy performance through knowledge sharing, organizational learning, organizational commitment in higher education Vietnam. The study conducts the research on 500 lecturers at 10 universities in Vietnam. The study uses Smart pls 3.6 software to analyze the data. The results show that transformational leadership had a positive effect on knowledge sharing, organizational learning and organizational commitment. Ultimately, employee engagement and social support play a moderate role in the relationship between transformational leadership and knowledge sharing statistically. However, organizational learning and organizational commitment did not play any mediate role on the relationship between transformational leadership and knowledge sharing.

Purpose Salesperson performance is accepted as a relevant factor of retailing success. However, scarce studies reveal the relationship between sales performance and brand relationship. The purpose of this study is both, from one side, to empirically demonstrate the impact of salesperson brand attachment (SBA) on sales performance and, on the other side, to identify the mediators of this relationship in small retailing. Design/methodology/approach A survey was conducted with a sample of 206 small retailers from different sectors of an emerging country. The proposed model was tested using partial least squares–structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) in SmartPLS3. Findings The results demonstrated that SBA is relevant to driving sales performance through two relevant paths – one following SBA–satisfaction–performance and one path following the SBA–commitment–performance. The model was able to explain 63% of the outcome performance. Practical implications Regarding small retailers, where the owners, employees and managers have higher levels of interaction than the large national retail chains, the marketing executives must invest in improving the attachment to the brand and create emotional bonds and cognition between marketers and the brand. They must develop strategies to promote job satisfaction and organizational commitment because they determine performance. Originality/value Despite the relevance of small businesses for economies worldwide and the importance of salesperson brand relationships, no study has been developed to demonstrate the impacts of such relationships on salesperson performance in retailing. Furthermore, in addition to the central role of organizational commitment in the sales research, to the best of the authors’ knowledge, this is the first study to explore how to mediate the relationship between brand attachment and sales performance.

This paper investigates the relationship between organizational justice and organizational commitment among the employees of different organizations from Kathmandu Valley. This research study analyzes the impact of organizational justice as encompassed by two components, namely distributive justice and procedural justice on employee’s commitment. This study is descriptive and analytical. The sample consists of managerial and non-managerial employees who have volunteered to participate in the study. This study reveals a positive and significant relationship showing that the foundation of an employee’s commitment is within the application of both distributive and procedural justice, with procedural justice having stronger effect. The findings in this study would offer insight to the managers and business organization in Nepal to formulate strategies that involve in work factors such as distributive and procedural justice for the improvement of the human resource development.

Purpose The main purpose of this paper is to examine the mediating role of psychological capital in the relationship between perceived psychological empowerment and employee satisfaction, normative organizational commitment and turnover intentions. Design/methodology/approach To test the proposed research model, the authors collected field data from seven telecommunication companies located in the Islamabad Capital Territory of Pakistan. Through a two-wave data collection design, a total of 411 participants reported their perceptions about psychological empowerment and psychological capital at Time 1 and their job satisfaction, normative organizational commitment and turnover intention at Time 2. Findings Results supported the hypothesized relationships, showing that psychological capital fully mediates the relationship between perceived psychological empowerment and employee job satisfaction, normative organizational commitment and turnover intention. Research limitations/implications This study relied on cross-sectional data, which does not fully satisfy the conditions of establishing causality. Practical implications Results of this study will help organizations and practitioners to understand the importance of psychological empowerment and psychological capital and how they positively influence organizational performance, including employee job satisfaction, normative organizational commitment and turnover intention. Originality/value Drawing upon the self-determination theory of Deci and Ryan (2000), this study contributes to organizational behaviour literature by proposing and testing psychological capital as an underlying mechanism that can explain the impact of psychological empowerment on employee satisfaction, normative organizational commitment and turnover intention.

Purpose The purpose of this study is threefold: first, to investigate the extent to which organizational error management culture impacts manager trust and group efficacy; second, to examine whether manager trust and group efficacy mediate the impact of error management culture on employee creativity; and third, to test whether manager trust and group efficacy mediate the impact of error management culture on employees’ organizational commitment. Design/methodology/approach Using a survey methodology, 345 front-line hotel employees in Turkey provided survey data. Amos 22.0 was used for data analysis. Findings Three major findings emerge. First, error management culture was found to have a significant positive influence on manager trust and group efficacy. Second, manager trust and group efficacy mediated the relationship between error management culture and employee creativity. Third, manager trust and group efficacy were found to mediate the relationship between error management culture and employees’ organizational commitment. Practical implications First, to promote employee creativity and their commitment to the organization, hotels need to cultivate an error management culture. Second, error management culture should be applied in hotels to build employee trust in their manager and boost their collective belief about group competency. Originality/value This is the first study that identified employee creativity and organizational commitment as outcomes of organizational error management culture. This is also the first study that examined the mediating effects of manager trust and group efficacy which helps in understanding the underlying mechanisms linking error management culture and employee attitudes. The current study provides significant contributions to understanding error management.

The purpose of this study was to find out the impact of employee participation on organizational performance and to find out the moderating effect of organizational commitment on the relationship between employee participation and organizational performance. The study population comprised of 5866 employees of three state corporations namely Mumias Sugar Company, Kenya Power and KenGen. The study adopted descriptive survey research design. The findings of the study were that employee participation had a significant effect on organizational performance. The study further showed that affective commitment, continuance commitment and normative commitment moderated the relationship between employee participation and organizational performance.
