The banking system is one of the key elements of building the economy and enhancing the financial stability of the country, and this importance comes from the role of banks operating in it as depository institutions and intermediaries between supply and demand units, in addition to modern banking services and payment systems that increase the efficiency and effectiveness of economic activity. Therefore, we find that liquidity risk indicators are important indicators that reflect the activity of banks, which at the same time may reflect a misleading picture of the positions of banks in terms of the strength of their balance sheets and the extent to which they adhere and adhere to the standards and instructions issued by the Central Bank, and thus bank liquidity is the basis of the work of banks and is considered the backbone of them, but depends on the work of banks, which reflects their impact on the financial stability situation. This importance led us to choose the subject of the study where the study aimed to determine the impact of bank liquidity risks on financial stability, this study was conducted on the Iraqi banking system and for the period 2019-2005, and the descriptive analytical approach was adopted based on data and information about government and private banks and taken from the official bodies represented by the Central Bank of Iraq. The research at the end of the study found a set of conclusions, including that both government and private banks suffer from limited credit and investment activity, causing a rise in liquidity ratios and liquid assets, which of course means the accumulation of non-profit liquid funds, which greatly affects their financial stability and exposes them to different risks that ultimately affect the stability of the financial system and this proves the validity of the study hypothesis

In this paper, we analyze the demand side of the credit card market. Using unique survey data and a discrete choice model, we uncover consumer preferences for all price and nonprice features of credit cards. Our results provide evidence for an alternative explanation for the credit card pricing puzzles. We show that consumers view credit cards as highly differentiated products with both bank-level and card-level nonprice features. When selecting their credit cards, they predominantly prioritize these nonprice features over prices. Although private banks charge higher prices for their credit card services than other banks, the majority of consumers choose them as issuers due to their bank-level and card-level nonprice features. Consumers who prioritize prices tend to choose the credit cards of participation or public banks. Widespread branch/automated teller machine networks as bank-level features and installments, bonuses/rewards/miles and the prestige of the card as card-level features are particularly effective in consumers’ decisions to choose private banks as issuers. Such strong preferences for nonprice features seem to furnish private banks with market power. Hence, we argue that underlying issuers’ market power is also this differentiated nature of credit cards, for which regulatory measures are not self-evident.

This study attempts to follow the research direction and fill the research gaps of previous studies, most notably mobile financial service landscape, specifically mobile banking (MB) services of private banks in Myanmar. The proposed research model in this study emphasizes service quality, positive recommendation, and different perspectives of trust in namely: trust in bank and trust in MB, evaluated their extent of influence on customers of private banks to adopt MB. The data was collected from 310 customers of private banks in Myanmar. Structural equation modeling (SEM) and confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) were employed to analyze the data and investigate the hypotheses. The analysis results indicate that customer intention to adopt MB is significantly influenced by trust in MB however trust in the bank was found to be statistically insignificant. The positive recommendation plays a critical role in the improvements of trust in the bank and MB according to the research results. Although service quality is a key factor to obtaining positive recommendations and acquiring trust in the bank, it is an insignificant factor for building trust in MB. Further, trust in the bank has a significant effect on trust in MB. These findings are highly beneficial for future research studies in a similar context and bank managers to develop appropriate strategies regarding MB services in the private banking sector in Myanmar.
