Kebijakan penanggulangan kemiskinan perlu disinergikan dari berbagai sumber daya, yaitu dari pemerintah, dunia usaha, dan masyarakat. Proses sinergitas kebijakan memerlukan kerangka payung regulasi yang mengatur secara teknis norma, kriteria dan standar prosedur pelaksanaannya. Oleh karena itu perlu penyamaan persepsi dari pemerintah, dunia usaha dan masyarakat tentang komponen-komponen apa ssaja yang perlu diatur dalam regulasi daerah. Tujuan diseminasi ini adalah untuk menyamakan persespi dunia usaha, perangkat Daerah dan masyarakat kota Magelang dalam mengelola dana Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) atau Tanggung Jawab Lingkungan Sosial Perusahaan (TJSLP) secara sinergis untuk penanggulangan kemiskinan. Kesepahaman tersebut sebagai dasar penyusunan payung hukum yang memiliki daya dorong bagi semua pemangku kepentingan. Metode PKM menggunakan prinsip transfer pengetahuan dan ketrampilan dari tim PKM kepada aparatur pemerintah kota Magelang. Metode dilakukan memenuhi aspek KAP (kognitif, afektif, psikomotorik), dengan bentuk (i) diseminasi informasi; dan (ii) Pendampingan penyusunan rencana tindak lanjut. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini menghasilkan perubahan pada pengetahuan aparatur tentang (i) prinsip-prinsip kolaboratif untuk penanggulangan kemiskinan yang inklusif; (ii) prinsip-prinsip perumusa format kolaborsi yang partisipatif. Kegiatan ini menghasilkan“Local Wisdom and Collaborative Governance for Sustainable Poverty Alleviation Model”. Kesimpuan dari kegiatan diseminasi ini yaitu bahwa prinsip-prinsip penyusunan regulasi daerah memerlukan asas kemitraan, pemberdayaan masyarakat, integratif, dan keberlanjutan.

The aim of this chapter is to describe how the MNCs can contribute to alleviate poverty and improve the well-being of the workers and communities, focused in two issues: job creation and CSR practices. For this purpose, the authors analyzed the case of the Mexican MNC FEMSA in Latin America. The results show that FEMSA plays an important role in job creation, with around 250,000 direct jobs in 2015 being created with Mexico and Brazil the most benefitiated with around the 84% of the jobs. In the case of CSR, 40 programs were identified under three main headings: “our people”, “our community” and “our planet”. Most of the programs are focused in “our community” (25) and the major receiver is Mexico with the 31 programs, the results of these programs show some benefits in the level of life and well-being of the people that has used these.

Cellular phone companies have occupied a significant position in the economy of Bangladesh. It has become one of the most profitable sectors as well as a big contributor to the government exchequer of this country. A great deal of economic resources is being utilized in this particular industry. Being an integral part of the society the companies operating within this industry are supposed to contribute towards social welfare through performing corporate social responsibility (CSR). In this backdrop, this study attempts to provide an overview of the CSR practices of the cellular phone companies of Bangladesh with special reference to the nature and impact of those practices. Based on the information provided in the annual reports and websites of respective companies the study has reached a conclusion that all the cellular companies except Airtel are engaged in CSR practices of some sort or other such as education, empowerment & poverty alleviation, environment, health care and others. Setiap perusahaan selain meningkatkan keuntungan finansial melalui kegiatan operasionalnya juga memiliki kewajiban untuk melaksanakan program sosial bagi lingkungan dan masyarakat sekitar. Konsep ini dikenal dengan program Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) perusahaan. Pemanfaatan program CSR untuk pelaksanaan tugas pembangunan pemerintah dapat dijabarkan melalui konsep Collaborative Governance atau konsep kemitraan dalam pemerintahan. Tulisan ini akan menganalisis pemanfaatan program CSR yang dilakukan oleh pemerintah Kota Jambi melalui konsep Collaborative Governance dalam rangka percepatan pengembangan dengan memperhatikan program prioritas pemerintah. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Kemudian data dianalisis dengan menelaah temuan, menyajikan data, dan menarik kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Pemerintah Kota Jambi telah menerapkan konsep tata kelola kolaboratif dalam melaksanakan dan memanfaatkan dana CSR untuk program pembangunan melalui forum CSR. Kata Kunci: Corporate Social Responsibility; Collaborative Governance; Pembangunan Daerah.


Poverty is one of the significant issues of the world. There are several causes of poverty. Numerous countries of the world adopt sustainable policies for its reduction. There are also direct and indirect responsibilities of the corporate sector to play a vital role in its reduction. The aim of writing this chapter is to explain the significant causes of poverty around the world. Furthermore, this chapter also explains how the private and, more specifically, the corporate sector can influence overall poverty reduction.
