High school students in the Philippines nowadays are engaged into Facebook. It is the most commonly used social networking site in the Philippines. This research assessed the Facebook Use of 591(235 male, 356 female) randomly selected Filipino senior high school students in Southern Philippines for school year 2017-2018. Bergen Facebook Addiction Scale determined the degree of students’ Facebook Use. It was found out that 362(61.3%) students are classified as Facebook addict and 229(38.7%) are classified non-Facebook addict. In the comparison between students’ time spent on Facebook, it was found out that the less time they spend on Facebook, the lower grades they get in school. Furthermore, the more gadgets they have at home the better scholastic performance they have. The correlation between Facebook use and Scholastic performance showed that there is no association between the two variables.

Knowledge in Pre-Calculus depends on students' understanding of Algebra and Trigonometry. The result of the Program for International Students Assessment (PISA) in 2018 disclosed that the Philippines ranked the second-lowest in Mathematics assessment and indicated low performance in advanced subjects such as Calculus. Hence, the paper described the level of academic performance of senior high school students in a maritime school in Bacolod City during the school year 2019-2020. Likewise, it aimed to determine the relationship between the students' demographics and the level of academic performance in Pre-Calculus. Furthermore, it is intended to test the correlation and predictive capability of the school of origin and entrance examination scores in the academic performance of students in Pre-Calculus.

Currently, the internet is one of the essential and user-friendly sources of information, even by students at the school. On the other hand, internet users also run the risk of obtaining inaccurate information or hoaxes. This study aimed to determine the behavior of using the internet as a source of information by Senior High School students (SMA), considering high school students began to be exposed to the internet when writing simple research reports. The research method used was documentation with a quantitative approach, namely by observing some written works of students from grade X (first year) of the State Senior High School 8 Yogyakarta in the 2016/2017 and 2017/2018 school year. The student's essay consists of three disciplines, namely biological science, engineering, and technology, as well as social science and humanities. The study focused on sources of information from the internet used in the scientific papers. Each paper’s list of reference was analyzed by grouping internet citations. Results showed that from 166 sample papers, the internet dominated the reference sources listed in the bibliography, with a percentage of around 60%. The types of internet sites that were widely cited by students were blogs, repositories, and general websites. More than 95% of sites used were in the Indonesian language. In conclusion, senior high school students need further assistance in accessing the internet, primarily to identify valid sources of information and avoid dubious information sources.

The title of this research is “Analysis on Listening Exercises in Look Ahead 2 (English Course Book for Senior High School Students Year XI)”. The problem of this research can be stated as follow: Are the listening exercises relevance to KTSP curriculum? How the listening exercises in the text book look ahead 2 present items questions?. Its purpose was to find out whether the listening exercise in Look Ahead 2 an English Course for Senior High School Year XI published by Erlangga is relevance with the KTSP curriculum and there are twelve (12) listening exercises which is included in discrete test, 3 listening exercises which is included in communicative test and 1 listening exercises which is included in combination between both. In collecting the data, the writer used in this research is library research, which is a type of study that makes the data library as the theory to study and examine the hypotheses and concepts to obtain to get result that objective. The sample of this research was listening exercise in the text book look ahead 2. Based on the result of this research, the writer found that listening exercise based KTSP curriculum of Senior High School Grade Year XI suitable of competency standard (SK) 2, and basic competency (KD) 2.1 and 2.2. The listening exercise in Look Ahead 2, an English Course for Senior High School Grade Year XI published by Erlangga, show that the higest number of test is discrete test, so it is proper enough in improving of student’s ability in listening through kind of this test.

The study deals with the developing interactive media for senior high school students. The objective of this study is to find out how to develop interactive media for better speaking skill of senior high school students. The research was conducted by using Research and Development (R&D). The subject of this research was 2016/2017 students of the eleventh grade of Class XI IPA4 in SMAN 1 Batang Kuis. The number of the students was 30 students. The data of this study was collected by using need analysis questionnaire and experts’ judgment. Need analysis questionnaire was calculated by using percentage to get the information of students’ need before developing interactive media. Experts’ judgment was calculated by using likert data, mean and criteria interval of expert judgment to know the validity of interactive media which has been developed. After the data analyzed, it was found that the experts’ judgment result was 4.80 which had a very good criteria interval. The result of the research find that interactive media is a very good to be used in teaching speaking skill.
