The article focuses on the problems of modern higher education in Ukraine and the EU. A special attention is paid to issues of the mechanisms for internal Quality Assurance of education and for increase of the role of the humanities inboth Ukraine and the EU. As such mechanisms are considered international cooperation and social partnership inhigher education. The paper describes the positive experience ofrealization of international cooperation and social partnership in Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv in the framework of the HESDeSPI project (2010-2013), the participants of which were European universities (Armenia, Georgia, Italy,Latvia, Moldova, Portugal, Ukraine), employers from Kyiv and Simferopol, government, public and administrative agents (especially Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and Ministries of partner countries), and students. Special attention is given to the tasks of the project, the stage of its implementation and the results, which had a significant impact on the formation of curricula for bachelors of cultural studies (2011) and masters of cultural studies (2015) at the Faculty of Philosophy of the Kyiv University. These mechanisms helped project-team first of all to determine the set of professional competences of bachelors of cultural studies and masters of cultural studies, and then to form these professional competencies of students in the educational process. Thus, it can be argued that the mechanisms of international cooperation and social partnership allow the exchange of experience in the modernization and reform of the higher education system with the EU universities, provide staff mobility in order to exchange teaching and scientific experience, provide information on the labor market in the cultural sector, help to introduce new academic disciplines and progressive teaching methods, organize training and practices. These actions allow graduates to be ready to the demands of the labor marketand allow our higher education to meet the high quality standards of the European Higher Education Area.

This paper sheds lights on the experiences of MPA education in Europe concerning its key characteristics, major approaches, and the extent of convergence and divergence in the areas of MPA teaching, research and international cooperation. In a broad perspective, it gives an overview of the development of the European MPA education in the context of globalization and Europeanization for the past 15 years. Specifically, it takes University of Leuven the "European Masters of Public Administration" program as a case study. It mainly argues that there is a strengthening and convergent need and trend of international cooperation of MPA education not only among European universities but also with universities beyond the border of Europe. Despite the convergent priority of internationalization, the divergent approaches to MPA education under the different administrative cultures and financial situations pose challenges to the international cooperation of MPA education.

The Belt and Road initiative is an important attempt by China to sustain its economic growth, by exploring new forms of international economic cooperation with new partners. Even though the B&R project is not the first attempt at international cooperation, it is considered as the best as it is open in nature and does not exclude interested countries. This review raised and answered three questions of how the B&R project will affect Nigeria’s economy?  How will it affect the relationship between Nigeria and China? What could go wrong?, The review concluded that Nigeria can only benefit positively from the project.

The Faculty of Pedagogy at Trakia University prepares students from different ethnic groups and students who are a part of the Erasmus+ exchange program. This intercultural environment reveals the opportunities for establishing common values in an intercultural learning environment through a broad intercommunication symbiosis. In an intercultural pedagogical interaction, students are given the opportunity to express their identity through the visualization of ideas, attitudes and thoughts. Art texts are used to introduce students to the traditional values of the unknown ethnicity and nationality as well as solving moral dilemmas, breaking stereotypes about behavior and overcoming prejudices. By using a five-module multimedia construct, the pedagogical environment allows students, in addition to personally reflecting on a particular problem, to develop pedagogical skills to guide the process.
