The marine water area of Serangan Island has been used for several activities such as aquaculture, captured fisheries, ships transportation, tourism and also area for leachate discharge from Suwung waste area. Those activities resulted in the decrease of water quality which has negative effect on the cage net culture activities, especially that low water quality decrease the immune system of the cultured organisms. So far, the feasibility of water quality for cage net culture activity in Serangan Island has not been identified. The objective of this study is to investigate the water quality and its feasibility for the development of cage net culture activity in that area. This study use descriptive and explorative methods to figure out the actual condition of water quality and its feasibility for cage net culture development in marine water area of Serangan Island. Some measured parameters are water depth, current velocity, temperature, salinity, pH, DO, BOD, Ammonia (NH3-N), oil and lipid content, and lead (Pb). The results show that in Serangan Island marine water area, the water quality range as follow: temperature 26-28 °C; Salinity 23-26,67 ppt; pH 7,4-7,9; dissolved oxygen (DO) 1,5-6 mg.l-1; BOD 6,1-8,2 g.l-1; NH3-N 0,4-0,9 mg.l-1; oil and lipid content <0,1; lead (Pb) cannot detected (<0,0036 mg.l-1); current velocity 0,2-0,6 cm.s-1; and the water depth 5,5 – 9,4 m. Generally, those measured water quality parameters are feasible for marine culture using cage net culture system.

To study the ocean environmental problem, the article analyses and predicts the hydrodynamic feature of study area on the basis of Ecom model. After simulation of the contributed concentration field, the paper assesses the influence of the cyanide in discharge of sewage on the marine water quality nearby. Research shows that the results reflected the rules of transportation and diffusion of pollutants in the tidal water area bitterly.

Tegal Island is part of Lampung Bay which has potential to be the location of aquaculture. One of kind fish that can be cultivated in these area is the humpback grouper (Cromileptes altivelis). Humpback grouper is the most popular fish species in local and foreign markets that have the highest selling price. The purpose of this study were to know the physical and chemical parameters in Tegal Island waters, to know the suitability of the waters for the humpback grouper cultivation in the waters of Tegal Island. The research was conducted in May 2017. The sampling location was 4 stations. The range of water quality values in Tegal island were water depth (15-25 m), dissolved oxygen (7 – 8 mg/l), brightness (5-10 m), salinity (30-34 ppt), temperature (28 – 32°C ), current velocity (20 – 50 m/s), pH (7,7 – 8,0), nitrate (0,9 – 3,2 mg/l) and phosphate (0,2 – 0,5 mg/l). The results showed that the waters of Tegal Island had appropriate water suitability level (St 3), corresponding marginally (St 1 and St 2) and unsuited (St 4) for the cultivation of humpback grouper.

Water quality is one of the factors that determine the feasibility and success of the development of grouper mariculture. The objective of this research was to analyze water quality which was prepared for grouper mariculture. This research was carried out in Divur Bay, Dullah island of Tual City. The water quality parameters observed were including temperature, brightness, salinity, pH, current velocity, depth, substrate type, DO, nitrate and phosphate in ten stations spread in Divur Bay. Water quality data were analyzed descriptively. The results showed that Divur Bay was feasible for the grouper culture development with a range of values of temperature, brightness, salinity, pH, current velocity, depth, DO, nitrate and phosphate obtained were 30-31oC; 2.28-7.86 m; 33-35 ppt; 7.7-8.1; 0.06-0.617m/s; 2..28-18.58 m; 3.7-4.8 ppm; 0.0015-0.219 ppm; 0.0076-0.0767 ppm.

The purpose of this paper is to find the pollution diffusion regularity near sewage outlet area of Yuncheng reach of the Fen River. A 2-D water hydrodynamic and quality model was used to simulate flow field, the water quality and contamination dispersion. The parameters of the model were calibrated with measured data of the water depth, flow and water quality in Yuncheng reach of the Fen River. According to the simulated result, the total area of pollution belt with 19 sewage outlets is 8.89km2 in normal year. And 3.89% of the reach has a worse water quality than V class in standard. The percentage of V and Ⅳ Class of water is 69.17% and 26.94%.In dry year, the total area of pollution belt with 19 sewage outlets is 8.89km2.The percentage of inferior V, V and Ⅳ Class of water is 27.80%, 69.46% and 2.74%. It was shown by the simulated results that the concentration gradient decreases with increasing distance to the outlets and the dilution and dispersion of pollutants was enhanced by a greater river flow.

Due to the need to discover methods that can measure the toxicity level of fresh and marine water quality, this study aimed to present a systematic review of the literature, indicating the culture conditions and toxicological tests used for different Daphnia species in the evaluation of water quality. Thus, the applied methodology was a systematic review that identified studies that addressed the application of Daphnia in the assessment of water quality. The results obtained from this research consisted of a compilation of articles, which presented the parameters most analyzed in Daphnia species, such as mobility and mortality, which can change when exposed to different chemical substances.
