PT. X sudah dapat memproduksi kendaraan roda empat berkisar 300 buah/hari, pada saat penulis melaksanakan penelitian beberapa kali sempat terjadi bottle neck pada pos kerja perakitan engine sehingga hal tersebut menjadi dorongan bagi penulis untuk mencari tahu permasalahan yang sebenarnya sedang terjadi. Setelah melakukan observasi dan mewawancarai operator serta kepala staff yang bertugas pada assy-line mendapatkan hasil bahwa terhambatnya proses produksi tersebut dikarenakan terjadinya keterlambatan pada part yang dibutuhkan pada pos tersebut, maka dari itu dilaksanakan penelitian mengenai penerapan metode (MRP) material requirements planning, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengoptimalkan kinerja daripada suatu proses produksi material mentah menjadi bahan jadi yang bernilai jual tinggi, agar dapat terlaksana dengan tepat waktu dan dengan jumlah material yang tepat. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dengan membuat master production schedule (MPS) atau jadwal induk produksi kemudian membuat catatan ketersediaan material dilanjutkan dengan membuat bill of material (BOM) atau struktur produk dari engine dan melakukan perhitungan peramalan permintaan menggunakan metode time series. Seluruh data yang telah diolah akan menjadi dasar dari pembuatan MRP, dengan jumlah produksi sebanyak 877 buah pada minggu ke-V Bulan April dan 864 buah pada minggu ke-I Bulan Mei menerapkan MRP pada suatu proses produksi dapat meningkatkan produktivitas kerja. Hasil perhitungan waktu yang didapat menunjukkan bahwa tidak terjadi bottle neck pada perhitungan MRP minggu ke-III, ke-IV dan ke-V X Inc. has been able to produce approximately 300 pieces of four-wheel vehicles per day, when the author carried out this research, there were some bottle necks happened several times on the work post of the engine assembly where it became a motivation for the author to find out what problems are going on. After observing and interviewing operator and chief of staff on the assy-line, it was concluded that the obstructed production process was caused by a delay in the needed parts on the said post, therefore a research about the application method of Material Requirement Planning (MRP) is carried out, where this research is aimed to optimize the production process of raw into finished, high valued materials, and can be done in a timely manner with exact amount of materials. This study was done by making a Master Production Schedule (MPS), then, making a material availability notation, continued by making a Bill of Material (BOM) and calculating the demand forecasting using the time series method. The entire data that had been processed became the base of the MRP-making, with the total production as many as 877 on the 5th week of April and 864 on the 1st week of May. Applying MRP on the production process can increase work productivity. The result of the time calculation obtained indicates that there was no bottle neck in the 3rd, 4th, and 5th week MRP calculation.

Production Planning or Master Production Schedule (MPS) is a key interface between marketing and manufacturing, since it links customer service directly to efficient use of production resources. Mismanagement of the MPS is considered as one of fundamental problem in operation and it can potentially lead to poor customer satisfaction.  In this paper, an improved Genetic Algorithm (IGA) is used to solving fuzzy multi-objective master production schedule (FMOMPS). The main idea is to integrate GA with local search operator. The FMOMPS was applied in the Cotton and medical gauzes plant in Mosul city. The application involves determine the gross requirements by demand forecasting using artificial neural networks. The IGA proved its efficiency in solving MPS problems compared with the genetic algorithm for fuzzy and non-fuzzy model, as the results clearly showed the ability of IGA to determine intelligently how much, when, and where the additional capacities (overtimes) are required such that the inventory can be reduced without affecting customer service level.

This study discusses the application of the material requirements planning (MRP) method in the planning of raw materials in a furniture company. The purpose of this research is to know the planning of raw materials for furniture products in UD. AA, determine the most suitable inventory model to be applied to material inventory planning and analyze the role of the MRP system in raw material procurement planning. The forecasting method used is the quantitative method of time series analysis, determining the master production schedule, calculating lot sizing (LFL, EOQ, POQ methods). From determining the Master Production Schedule, it is found that the cabinet production plan for the next three months is 4 units per period or week, and based on the calculation of Material Requirement Planning (MRP) it can be seen what components are needed for the manufacture of cabinets, how many and when each component is required. Therefore it is obtained that the total raw material requirement for wood for the next three months is 11.34 m³.

Introduction: Material Requirement Planning (MRP) is a technique or a logical procedure to translate the Master Production Schedule (MPS) of the finished goods or end item into the net requirements for some of the components needed to implement the MPS. MRP is used to determine the amount of material needs to support the Master Production Schedule and when the material needs to be scheduled.Methods: The study is conducted on 13 August 2018 until 12 September 2018 at the installation Nutrition RSIA Kendangsari Merr Surabaya. Collecting data in this study using several methods, including: observation- This stage is conducted in all parts related to the object of study, starting from the Purchase Order (PO) by a head cook up to raw material stored in the storage, discussion- author interviews and collects data to communicate and discuss with the respondents. Respondents in this study are the head of the nutrition unit and head cook of RSIA who have the authority doing the purchasing.Results: Planning of procurement of raw materials to the menu rawon in RSIA can use the Exponential Smoothing method. The discussion has compared two methods of forecasting and the results are consistent with the demand’s patterns of Simple Moving Average method, Exponential Smothing. Forecasting has the lowest error rate by using Exponential Smoothing. The second conclusion is a technique of determining the appropriate Material Requirement Planning in raw material procurement to menu rawon in RSIA is using Lot for Lot.

Dalam perusahaan manufaktur kebutuhan persediaan bahan baku dan penjadwalan peroduksi sangat diutamakan. Pemesanan oleh konsumen menjadi tolak ukur perusahaan dalam menentukan kebutuhan produksi. Selama ini perusahaan belum merencanakan kebutuhan bahan yang akan digunakan yang membuat terkadang terjadi penumpukan bahan dan tidak tersedianya bahan di gudang yang membuat proses produksi terhambat. Dengan tidak tersedianya bahan di gudang membuat perusahaan perlu melakukan pembelian bahan untuk mendukung proses produksi, masih banyak perusahaan manufaktur yang belum mempertimbangkan lamanya waktu tunggu (leadtime) untuk bahan sampai ke gudang yang membuat proses produksi terhambat dan tidak dapat memprediksi kapan produksi mulai karena belum tersedianya bahan. Untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut, maka dibuat aplikasi berbasis web yang dapat menangani perencanaan pengadaan persediaan bahan, penjadwalan produksi yang mempertimbangkan waktu pemesanan bahan baku menggunakan metode Material Requirement Planning (MRP).Proses pengembangan menggunakan metode prototype (prototyping model).Aplikasi yang dibangun mampu menghasilkan tabel Master Production Schedule (MPS), tabel Material Requirement Planning (MRP), serta menghasilkan laporan pemesanan dan laporan pembelian. Pembangunan aplikasi menggunakan bahasa pemprograman Framework Codeigniter dengan bahasa skrip Hypertext Preprocessor (PHP).

<p>This research discusses the planning and inventory control of raw materials in PT Rackindo Setara Perkasa which is one of the manufacturer in Indonesia which is engaged in the industry of knock-down furniture. The purpose of this study is to planning and controlling the inventory of raw materials with the lowest cost. The research is conducted to develop demand forecast in 2016, to develop the aggregate planning using LINGO software, then continued in the design of the Master Production Schedule (MPS) and Material Requirement Planning (MRP). This research discusses the comparison of several methods of Lot Sizing in MRP, such as the Economic Order Quantity (EOQ), Period Order Quantity (POQ) and Least Total Cost (LTC). <p><em>PT X merupakan perusahaan yang bergerak di bidang manufaktur kapur barus atau kamper. Dalam pelaksanaan perusahaannya, diketahui di PT X belum memiliki metode terstandar dalam mengatur perencanaan, pengendalian serta penjadwalan tingkat kedatangan bahan baku, perencanaan dan penjadwalan biasanya dilakukan berdasarkan pengalaman dan perkiraan kepala bagian PPC saja sehingga perusahaan saat ini masih mengalami kendala dalam pengelolaan persediaannya, dimana bahan baku seringkali mengalami penumpukan di gudang. PT X juga masih menerapkan sistem manual dalam melakukan penjadwalan produksi dan pemesanan bahan bakunya. Berdasarkan permasalahan tersebut, maka dilakukan perancangan sistem informasi untuk merencanakan dan mengendalikan persediaan bahan baku di PT. X dengan menggunakan metode MRP (Material Requirement Planning). Serangkaian kegiatan yang dilakukan dalam metode MRP adalah melakukan peramalan penjualan, membuat MPS (Master Production Schedule), membuat BOM (Bill Of Material), menghitung kebutuhan bahan baku dengan metode lot sizing. Dengan adanya program aplikasi, maka akan mempermudah dan membantu pekerjaan Marketing, PPC dan gudang serta dapat membuat proses bisnis berjalan lebih cepat dan efisien.</em></p>
